  • As Ender pulled into one of the parking spots, a police car parked outside of the nearby bank with its sirens blaring; the police rushing inside with guns at the ready. As Ender caught a glimpse of them from the corner of his eye, he instinctively covered his ears just before three gunshots echoed from the bank; leaning on the side of the car with the door wide open, removing one of his hands from his ears as he twitched spastically. He took some deep breaths and tried to calm down, looking back at the bank to see a single masked man walk out; a gun in his hand that resembled a similar make that had nearly killed him back in the Middle-East.

  • Brook suspected nothing until she heard the gunshots ring out from the nearby bank. Fear coursed through her as she turned to looked at the bank, before her gaze then found Ender. She could see him shaking, and was afraid we would be thrown into a seizure like he had when he first arrived due to the fireworks. A small voice came from the back of the car, sounding scared. “Mommy?” Brook looked back toward some Leah, putting on a small smile. “Just stay still and quiet in you seat, Leah, okay? It’ll be okay.”

  • As the masked man walked towards Ender, something snapped inside of him, his arm glowing an intense and darkened red light as he slowly stood up straight; the twitching present in his body merely a few seconds ago had suddenly stopped. Ender slowly walked towards the man as he raised the gun up at him, pulling the trigger once only to be blocked by his arm; the bullet bouncing off of it like a sword hitting a shield. The man flinched slightly as he shot off two more bullets, both getting deflected as his arm moved at lightning fast speed. Ender had gotten close enough to grab the gun, clenching his hand into a fist as the man screamed in agony; the gun breaking apart into pieces as his hand shattered the robbers hand.

"Don't you ever threaten my family again!" Ender growled at the man before grabbing him by the wrist, swinging him up and over his head like a baseball bat before sending the robber flying down the street; hitting a pole so hard it fell on top of him and crushed him.

  • Brook noticed Ender move away from the car, followed by a gunshot that rang out. She immediately ducked, hearing Leah let out a cry in the backseat. All Brook could think about was the possibility that Ender had just been shot. More shots rang out and she heard Ender's voice at one point, though still didn't rise from her slightly bent over position. Leah was bent over in her car seat as well, crying with her hands over her ears.

  • As Ender began to calm down his arm slowly faded back to normal, his thoughts clearing up as he looked at his hands briefly; one of them having a slight amount of blood on it. He heard the soft cries from Leah and ran towards the car, opening the back seat and giving a sigh of relief seeing she was okay; unbuckling her from her seat and holding her in his arms.

"Shhhh... It's okay Leah, daddy took care of the bad guy. He won't be bothering us again." Ender comforted before he walked to Brooklyn's side of the car, opening the door and giving her a hug as well; not a single scratch on him.

  • Leah clung to Ender as he held onto her, her cries softening slightly, though tears still came. It was only natural for a small girl to be scared of such a situation. Brook, having heard Ender speaking to Leah, sat up as he opened her door and returned his hugs. "I thought you were shot!" she said as she clung to him, feeling Leah do so as well.

  • "Really? I completely blanked out as soon as I saw the gun..." Ender began to say as he struggled to remember, though his stomach growled at him as they clung to him; though he wasn't in much of a mood to eat now. Another police car came with sirens blaring, this time a swat vehicle had tagged along as they cleared out the bank of any survivors; an Ambulance rushing onto the scene as well and trying to help as many people as possible. One of the officers walked over to their car, a bit of a concerned look on his face; being as the criminal behind the robbery was now dead thanks to Ender's blind rage.

  • Brook just shook her head slightly and Leah began to calm down. Ender wasn't hurt, gladly, so there was nothing to worry about. Yes, Leah was frightened, but young children soon bounced back from such things.

  • Ender gave a bit of a heavy sigh and tried to put what happened behind him, closing and locking the car doors before taking Brooklyn's hand; trying to put a slight smile on his face.

"Well, we should probably head inside before even more crazy stuff starts happening." Ender said before walking into the building, the aroma of Chinese food filling his lungs as his stomach growled louder; the cop following them in considering he had his suspicions about Ender.

  • Brook nodded in response to Ender, following along as he led her inside. Leah had grown quiet now and simply kept her head upon Ender's shoulder, her small fingers playing with the cloth of his shirt. Brook had lost a bit of her appetite after the whole ordeal, but knew better than to skip meals right now. Such a thing would not be health for her or the baby.

  • One of the waiters lead them to their table and took their orders, the cop sitting far enough away to discreetly keep an eye on them; taking his hat and badge off so that people around him wouldn't take notice as easily.

OOC: Bit of low muse right now.

  • Brook slid into the seat with Leah following after. Morgan quickly ordered a tea for herself and a lemonade for Leah, grabbing a few crayons and notebook from her purse to keep Leah occupied. She was unaware of the cop, but was frankly rather just happy that the whole incident before was over and done with.

  • Ender sat at the seat across from Brooklyn and kept an eye on the cop a few tables away, periodically glancing over to try and make sure the cop wasn't after him or his family; considering that some cops were the type to go around looking for trouble. He primarily looked at what Leah was drawing, smiling as she drew what look like scribbling; but had come straight from her heart.

  • Brook was content to simply watch Leah for while, who's legs were gently kicked below the table in contentment. Brook felt a kick from the baby and placed a hand on her stomach with a gentle smile. Their appointment was coming up soon, and she was getting more excited as the time passed.

  • Ender looked up at the waiter as she brought them their food, Ender taking a few bites before taking a sip of his drink; looking at Brooklyn with a slight smile on his face. He continued to chow down being as he was really hungry, taking drinks periodically and starting up some conversation as well; mainly in regards of the job he currently had.

"I was thinking I could try getting a job in Architecture, being as animating and making videos is starting to get a bit stale; and also increasingly harder given how YouTube is killing off channels left right and center without much thought." Ender said as he was a bit annoyed with the way YouTube was handling things now, though he had gotten over it for the most part and had his mind set on Architecture; being as he had the skills and the knowledge to go into it.

  • Brooklyn helped Leah a bit with her food, helping her to get situated before she began to eat her own. She nodded slightly as she ate, listening to Ender speak. "I think that would be a good fit for you," she said as she took another bite. "And it sounds like it would be stable than Youtube right now."

  • Ender took a few more bites before continuing, being as he hated talking while he still had food in his mouth; and wanting to set a good example for Leah.

"Yeah, right now YouTube is becoming the next Vine, so I figured I'd jump ship sooner rather than later." Ender said with a slight sigh, being as he would have to find a college that taught Architecture; being as he never was able to go to college in the short span between High School and the day he departed from the small beach town. "College will be a nightmare though, being as we'll barely have any money to pay bills or buy food and other necessities for the duration I'll have to study."

  • Brook reached out as he spoke of college and grasped his hand, putting on a soft smile. “We’ll make it work. Besides, I can help you with your basic requirement classes until you get to the architecture ones.” The least she could do was help her husband, right?

  • Ender smiled back and held her hand in his, taking a sip of his drink before setting it back down.

"Yeah, at least with both of us it'll be a lot easier." Ender said as he then polished off his plate, filled up by the large amount of food they had put on his plate; though all of their plates were pretty large relative to how much they normally ate.

  • Brook nodded as she continued to eat, happy to have food in her stomach again. Leah appeared happy as well as she continued to chow down on her food. She had always been a child that ate well, eating almost everything she was told. Almost.
