  • Ender smirked slightly and walked out into the living room, turning on the radio they had in their house and playing some romantic music; holding his hand out as his arm lit up into a rainbow. The sun began to set and the room began to grow darker, a gentle breeze flowing in through the opened window; the smell of roses from their small garden drifting into the house and giving the house a romantic vibe.

"Well then, let's hope neither of us became rusty." Ender joked slightly as both of them weren't the greatest dancers, but there were worse dancers in the city as well.

  • Brooklyn let out a small laugh as she took hold of his hand. The lighting and sleep of roses was lovely, and she hoped she was able to dance well with her large belly. She was still trying to figure out how to maneuver many things now that she was no longer her tiny self.

Leah sat off in her room with her candy and crayons, content to color again as she ignored the adults. However, the music that began to play did catch her attention after some time.

  • Ender took Brooklyn's' hand and took lead, being as he was slightly better at dancing of the two of them; despite being just another hallow victory. As they danced in the living room given the romantic setting, his mind began to wander and he imagined the two of them inside a ball room similar to fairy tales; both of them dressed up like royalty in this fantasy land. As he began to snap back to reality the song came to an end as the next one started playing, being a little more energetic and upbeat than the previous song; which would have killed the mood if it wasn't an 80's classic that was irresistible to dance to.

  • Brooklyn danced along with Ender, moving to the beat. She had missed dancing with him over the years, but now he was here, her husband. She smiled easily and contently as the music changed over.

Leah heard the more upbeat music and, being as curious as she was, left her crayons and went to her door. Her little head peaked out and her gaze traveled to where she could just see Brook and Ender.

  • Ender changed his dance moves to be a bit more upbeat as well, though not by much so that Brooklyn could keep up with him; as he didn't want her falling down onto the floor. The scene felt like something out of a movie, more so like they were at Prom all over again; except there was no one to bump into nor the feeling of being watched or judged by strangers or friends, only the two of them enjoying the moment as it was.

"This really takes me back to Prom night, where we had our first dance..." Ender said as the two of them continued dancing, the sun setting over the horizon and giving them a dazzling view of the ocean.

  • She smiled as she thought back to their first prom, thinking of how they were before he left for the military. She sometimes missed the care free times of high school though she would gladly leave the drama behind. “That was a fun night,” she said as she thought of her life then and now. “So much seems to have changed between then and now.”

  • "Yeah, it kind of amazes me how time flies sometimes, feels like I just got back yesterday." Ender joked as the song began to come to an end, leaving just the news to play on the radio and putting an end to their dance.

  • “I understand,” she said softly as she heard the music come to an end. “I feel like just yesterday Leah could hardly sit up and now she’s running around.” As if in que, Leah made her presence known as she walked up to them.

“Daddy, can I dance too?” She asked as she looked up at Ender. “Mommy and baby got to dance so it’s my turn, right?” She pointed to Brook’s stomach as she spoke of the baby.

  • Ender looked down at Leah and smiled, tuning the radio to a different station to play another song.

"Of course sweetheart." Ender answered as he took her hands, having her stand on his feet and follow his movements and rhythm; giving a slight chuckle as they had a heartfelt moment between father and daughter.

  • Leah smiled brightly up at him as she clung to his hands, her feet planted softly atop his own. Brooklyn leaned against the wall nearby, rubbing a hand over her large belly as she gave the two some space. She liked the sight of them together as father and daughter, having wondered for years while Leah was little how the two of them coming together would play out.

  • As the song came to an end, Ender laughed slightly and picked up Leah; holding her in his arms as he then went to turn off the radio.

"I've done enough dancing for today." Ender chuckled as he looked at Brooklyn, then setting Leah down just as his stomach started growling.

  • Brook looked over at Ender as she heard his stomach growl and pushed off the wall. "I'll cook something to eat for lunch," she said as she made her way into the kitchen, Leah running after her.

"I want hot dogs!" She said as she tugged on Brook's shirt.

"You had hot dogs yesterday, Leah," Brook said gently as the young girl still held to her shirt.

  • "I mean, you can't exactly go wrong with hot dogs, but I was thinking maybe getting some Chinese Food." Ender suggested since they haven't gone at all since he got back, and it'd be great to relax a little and enjoy the cultural atmosphere; even if it was mostly American with mainly Chinese decoration and meals.

  • Leah looked at Ender as he spoke, then tugged on Brooklyn's shirt some more. "Please, mommy!" she asked, "Let's go somewhere else and eat!" Brooklyn looked between Ender and Leah, then let out a soft sigh. "Alright, alright. Chinese it is," she said and Leah jumped up and down as she clapped her hands.

  • Ender smiled slightly as Leah jumped and clapped her hands, finding it kind of amusing that she always seemed so energetic; even for her age.

"Well then, I'll get the car started up." Ender said as he grabbed the car keys from the hook in the kitchen, heading outside to get the car started up; along with get Leah into her car-seat.

  • Leah followed along happily as she followed Ender to the car, eager to get out and eat. Brook hung back for a few moments as she grabbed a light shawl to wear over her shoulders. Being pregnant often messed with whether she was hot or cold, and she liked to be prepared. She glanced at her form in the mirror, pausing to look at her belly, before she began to make her own way to the door.

  • Ender helped Leah into the car and buckled her into her car seat, closing the back door and opening the passenger door for Brooklyn before jumping into the driver's seat; keeping the heat off in case she felt like he was too hot.

  • Ender started the engine and began to back out of their driveway, stopping once they were far enough out and driving towards the only Chinese place in the small town; the smell of their high quality sauces and other foods lingering across their parking lot and over to a few other parts of the town as well.

  • Leah happily looked out the window of the car as she kicked her feet slightly, clearly happy to be out of the house. Brook set comfortably in the passenger seat as she watched their small town go by. She was growing a little more hungry now, knowing the baby inside her was probably hungry as well.
