    Just as the first town along the way appeared into sight, suddenly something shot out in front of Karen's horse, a rope of some sort. But neither Karen or the horse saw it. Because of this, the horse tripped over the rope. "Ah!" Karen said, shouting in surprise as the horse fell forwards.

    "Karen!" Reno yelped and Flynn quickly grabbed the back of her armor so she'd be yanked off the horse instead of getting her leg crushed. Reno of course went to help them.

    Karen gasped, she had panicked. Her heart was racing. Suddenly, the Woman in Red came out from behind the treed, holding a crossbow.

    Reno stopped moving as the woman came out with a loaded crossbow. Flynn didn't seem worried since he was more focused on making sure he didn't drop Karen. Even if she was an inch off the ground he gently, and painfully, set her down. THEN noticed the lady in red.

    Karen kept a cautious eye on the Woman in Red. She had two swords at her sides, she was obviously prepared to fight them if she needed to.
    "What are you doing here? Hmmm? Shouldn't you be back there, in the captured town?"

    Reno was about to speak but Flynn shot him a glare before answering the lady, "we were heading to another town to seek assistance, it takes more than three people to drive out an army." He said cheerfully. Reno would have told her they were looking for the 'Weapon of War' or what Karen had called it, plus, at least this lie was believable.

    "Well, I guess your journey is going to have to end here, then. Turn around now, before I have to make you."

    "How harmful can we be? There's no real town to seek assistance from for miles." Flynn said, this was sheer bravado at this point, "there's Camlaan to the west of here, their a sizable town." Reno said and Flynn visibly twitched after Reno spoke. Flynn could swear on his life that Reno has never told a lie.

    "See? You aren't getting past here. So just make this easy, will ya?" She said, reaching to grab her sword from her belt.

    "Sorry but 'easy' isn't in my normal vocabulary." Flynn said and got of his horse just a bit awkwardly. Reno quickly dismounted as well encased a fight did break out.

    "Sorry woman, but we aren't going to be stopping anytime soon." Karen said, she didn't have a weapon on her, but at least she could try fighting hand-to sword.


    The Woman aimed the crossbow at Reno. "I can shoot this thing off at any time I feel like, at any of you. I can tell you for sure, it hurts worse than a cat scratch."

    "I suppose talking it out isn't an option." Reno said. Yes, he was very afraid, but he at least knew first-aid... Well, sort of. Flynn had a hand on his sword, ready to attack if the lady fired and hit Reno, or had terrible aim and didn't hit Reno.

    "Talking it out isn't an option. The only options here are you going back willingly, or being fought back." The woman said, letting the crossbow drift to Karen, then Flynn.


    (Who do you think she should fire at?)

    OOC: If she fires at Flynn, they will discover a scar from his past. If she hits Reno, he will live and actually tell them this wasn't hos first time being shot.


    IC: Flynn watched the lady carefully, ready to jump at a moments notice to attack her.

    (-Temptation increases- And why isn't it Reno's first time being shot....)


    The lady in red moved her arm suddenly, firing it at Flynn. Karen jumped in surprise of it going off, but advanced on the woman.

    OOC: Just another backstory I thought up X3


    IC: Flynn fell over from the impact of the arrow hitting him. Reno jumped into action and went to help Flynn since Karen seemed to have thready in red handled. The arrow had hit Flynn below his right shoulder so it wasn't fatal, but would be if not tended too.

    The lady in red swung her sword at Karen, however, the woman was a bit quicker than she thought and Karen had actually managed to doge him. She hit the Lady in Red's hand and knocked the sword out of her grip. Just as she had knocked it out, she was hit in the side of the head. The impact made her dizzy, and angry. She retaliated with knocking the woman off her feet.

    "K-Karen! Mind hurrying up, please?" Reno asked shakily as he helped Flynn up. Flynn didn't look in the best of moods but for some reason he didn't seem to be in too much pain, though it did hurt a lot.
