    [BUILD] Due to his physical condition, Tiberius is both very short and stocky, with slightly shortened limbs and extremities. He is not overweight but he is certainly no longer as athletic as he used to be, and his legs are very slightly bowed.
    [EYES] A piercing green, his eyes are proportionate and slightly hooded, tilted downwards slightly. He has heavy eyebrows that only highlight the green of the irises, making his gaze oddly striking against his paler skin.
    [SKIN TONE] While Tiberius is by no means very pale, he is Caucasian with a natural tan accumulated during his lifetime.
    [FACIAL FEATURES] Tiberius has a large head with a high brow and prominent forehead. His eyes are slightly sunken and his nose is a little crooked across the bridge. His mouth is relatively wide, and often shadowed by a faint lining of stubble.
    [HAIR] Shaggy, light brown curls that fall down over his forehead. It is rarely tamed, and is usually left to its own devices. Whilst he has no beard, he does sometimes fail to shave and thus has a semi-permanent dash of stubble along his jaw.
    [OVERALL IMPRESSION] As an entire person, Tiberius is certainly very striking at first impression. And, indeed, every impression he makes after that. His small stature does not appear to stop him from seeming both authoritative and knowledgeable, and he cane comer across as quite intimidating when he so wishes. He walks proudly and is never afraid to meet the gazes of others, but there is a certain heavy tiredness that often radiates from him.

When remaining still for long periods of time he often starts to suffer from central sleep apnea; it becomes difficult to breathe as deeply and any sign of external breathing is often suspended completely.     [PERSONALITY]
    Tiberius is... An interesting person. He is confident in himself and makes no effort to change anything to please others. Unfortunately, this means that, whilst no one ever hates him, he is difficult to like at the best of times and is that one member of the team who is resented yet necessary for anything to function properly.
    x Irritable
    One of the first things that Tiberius' students may notice about him is that he is extremely easy to irritate. He often comes across as overly stern, and will not tolerate tardiness or disrespect of any kind, conscious of how hard he worked to in the positions that he has previously held and eager to let everyone else know it. If one remains in his good books, he can be a delight to know, but it is very easy to annoy him with trivial matters or even a lack of knowledge in his subject.
    x Highly Intelligent
    Perhaps a reason for his irritability is the fact that the man has an unusually high natural IQ that has been nurtured through years of studying. He knows everything that there is to know on languages both ancient and modern, and he is not afraid to correct someone on anything from grammar to general knowledge on the anatomies of African birds. What he lacks in physical strength he makes up for with a good memory that is full of complicated information, and with it comes highly refined common sense. He thinks logically yet creatively, with a balance between each 'side' of his brain. However, he has never been too good at subjects such as mathematics, finding the concepts boring and thus not worth his time.
    x Stubborn and Arrogant
    Tiberius is always right, therefore Tiberius must always stand his ground. If he gets into a dispute about anything he is a very difficult person to win over, and will not cease until he has proven his point in a multitude of ways. This can get quite irritating for this around him; fortunately, he chose to become a teacher and so gets paid to tell others what to do.
    x Bitter
    In this trait, Tiberius is rather like the children's book character Eeyore. He is aware that life often goes awry, and is not afraid to complain about anything that he finds inadequate or not to his liking. Therefore, he is always complaining about everything. On the other hand, he rarely does so too seriously, and there is always a light-hearted remark of wit to accompany his grumbling about the ignorance of first-years or the quality of the food in Hogsmeade.
    x Witty
    With his intelligence comes wit, and he has an undeniable sense of highly advanced humour. He will often make comments aside to anyone listening that are laced with a witty remark of some sort, even if not everyone around him understands it. Sometimes, that's the entire point.
    x Stern
    To students, Tiberius can often seem overly stern at first and even 'scary'. He will not stand for any nonsense and makes it painfully clear from his first lesson with someone. Unfortunately, as he does not particularly like teaching, even putting one's hand up to ask a question could well set him off on a rant about what in Merlin's name children are being taught today. He is not afraid to hand out detentions like they're candy, but as a student progresses through the school he tends to soften up a little.
    x Honest
    Despite his multitude of flaws, Tiberius does pride himself on being honest. He is not afraid to say exactly what he's thinking, even if it may hurt whoever receives his words. He knows everything about himself and has accepted it, and therefore lives by the concept that everyone else should just accept their own problems too. One cannot works on their flaws without knowing what they are, after all. Fortunately, this does make him a good person to have around in a number of situations, as he will never just say what he is wanted to say as others so often do.
    x Unmotivated
    Tiberius has achieved everything he's ever wanted in life and left it behind. He has nothing more now but to relax and so chose an easy theoretical teaching job. Because of this, however, he tends to move along at his own steady pace and will teach what he wants when he wants, rarely caring whether or not students actually want to listen.
    [MORALITY] Tiberius has a very complicated sense of morality. When it comes to small, unimportant matters, he rarely cares and is often self-serving. However, when it comes to issues of morality that are more serious he has a strong sense of right and wrong according to his own knowledge and sense; after much experience he has learnt that too often what is 'right' is in the eye of the human beholder.
    [SENSE OF SELF-CONTROL] Excellent unless drunk.
    [BEHAVIOUR TO OTHERS] Tiberius can often come across as a little egotistical at times, and he will not hesitate to correct someone if they are wrong. However, to friends he is witty and has a good sense of irritable humour, and whilst no one particularly likes him no one hates him either.

    [REACTION TO DANGER] Armed with good reflexes and a strong determination to keep himself alive, he is constantly ready should a dangerous situation occur and prides himself on his defensive charms. He is much more likely to fight than fly, disliking the uncertainty of what might happen when he is not facing the opponent directly.
    [REACTION TO LOSS] Tiberius no longer cares. He has no one close enough to him to be upset over the concept of losing them, and will often simply move on with the natural process of life, desensitised to the shock.

    [DESCRIPTION OF HOME] Tiberius was born in a large house in Knightsbridge, London. He doesn't remember much of his childhood home other than the fact that it was large and overly grandiose. He spent many years travelling from place to place, and now resides at the school.
    [MENTAL CONDITIONS] None. Previously suffered symptoms of clinical depression accompanied by sporadic periods of severe paranoia.
    [PHYSICAL CONDITIONS] Achondroplasia, the most common form of Dwarfism.

    [FATHER'S OCCUPATION] Was the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
    [FATHER'S RELATIONSHIP TO CHARACTER] Distant. His father often put pressure on Tiberius to follow in his footsteps, resulting in Tiberius' eventual but partial rebellion through becoming an Auror. William was never quite satisfied with his son's achievements.




    [MOTHER] Janette Vandeviere.

    [MOTHER'S OCCUPATION] Was an intern for the Ministry of Magic.
    [MOTHER'S RELATIONSHIP TO CHARACTER] Janette never had a conversation with her son, leaving him with his father when he was a few months old.




    [HISTORY] Tiberius Abberley Beaumont-Vandeviere was born an only child in one of the most prestigious parts of London. His father was already in his fifties when he met Janette Vandeviere, a young intern who had just started at the Ministry. The typical story followed, and after an ambition-fuelled affair Janette found herself giving birth to Tiberius. However, perhaps due to his father's advanced age, the boy was born with Achondroplasia and was very weak during the first few weeks of his life. At first Janette cared for the baby, but she was not ready to be a mother and so soon left him in the care of his father, leaving forever to continue a life free of responsibilities.
    Needless to say, William Beaumont was conflicted about the sudden burden of a child. Whilst Tiberius required constant medical care until he was a few years old, the man had never succeeded at having children with his first wife and thus had no one to pass his fortune on to. He decided to invest in Tiberius, with the ambition of raising him to be the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement after he himself retired.




    Thus Tiberius was raised in luxury, sent to only the best schools and educated to within an inch of his life. He was bullied often throughout his childhood and early adulthood for his size, but his father told him to ignore his 'deformities' and focus on striving only harder to succeed more than those around him. At first, Tiberius did exactly as his father told him, but during his teenage years it became clear that even being at the top of his school was not going to impress the old man.




    Throughout his life he faced several instances of prejudice against his size and background. Humans would assume him to be a Dwarf whilst Dwarves would only resent him for being mistaken for one of them. He had no physical advantage over anyone and was therefore often beaten up at the various hierarchical schools he was sent to. His father, however, simply told him to focus on his grades and to accept that he was not going to have the same chances as others in life.




    Tiberius began to be more rebellious against his strict upbringing, and at the age of seventeen he applied to become an Auror instead of a worker in his father's department. He wished to be given the same advantages as any other person, but he was not accepted that year. Nor the next, nor the one after that. He began to become obsessed with learning defensive and offensive spells, refining his magic until he didn't need a physical advantage over anyone. He was soon the best person he knew at Defence Against the Dark Arts, and finally, when he was twenty years old, he was accepted into the training program to become an Auror.




    The next fifteen years passed in a blur. His father died dissatisfied as his stunted son's choices, but Tiberius flourished, rising quickly through the ranks. Unfortunately, with ability came arrogance, and the fact that he was suddenly equal with or even above those who had never thought he could make it went to his head. He trusted no one, and began to make foolish decisions, one of which resulted in the scar across his face. He became unaffected by the idea of killing someone, and whilst he was successful at catching Dark Wizards he wasn't always careful enough in getting them to Azkaban in one piece. Not many people know anything more about his time as an Auror; he openly speaks about incidents such as the acquirement of his scar, but he holds closer the few things that he does not wish to experience again.




    Eventually, Tiberius suddenly realised that he had seen and done enough, and that he was losing control of his own life. He had taken up drinking, and was often violent and unpredictable when trying to carry out his job, losing a little of his finesse and his highly acclaimed reputation. At this realisation, he left the ranks of the Aurors and sought out the most peaceful, boring job he could think of: a teaching position of Ancient Runes at Hogwarts.
    [EARLIEST MEMORY] Going to hospital as a four year-old after sleep apnea dramatically reduced the concentration of oxygen circulating in his blood.
    [SADDEST MEMORY] The day his father expressed his disappointment in his son.
