AD: hey, cherri? i heard what happened, are you okay?
Melody was panicked. Her sister Cherri had recently been violently dumped and she was trying to connect to her through instant messaging. She needed to hear from her sister that she was okay. Luckily, she soon recieved a reply.
CB: No.
What had she expected? Of course she wasn't. At least she was still alive, though. That was some sort of hope. Anyways, Melody was quick to reply.
AD: oh god, cherri, i'm so sorry. i wish i could be with you right now.
AD: just know that i care about you- and so does laila and jack and lewis and pia, okay? just because he’s a jerk doesn’t mean you aren’t loved.
CB: Melody, you don’t understand. You don’t want to be with me, not right now.
Huh? But she did want to be with her, why wouldn’t she? Melody found the reply unsettling, but she managed to type a reply, shakily.
AD: what do you mean? what's going on?
CB: Melody, where is dad's gun?
Melody was instantly struck with fear. There was no way Cherri was going to committing suicide, right? The warm, helpful, and positive sun to Melody's mellow and quiet moon; Cherri Sprightly. There was absolutely no way that she, of all people, was sad enough to kill herself. Melody wouldn’t dare think it.
AD: why? cherri, tell me what's happening!
CB: Where is it, Melody?
Was someone in the house, trying to attack her? Melody ruled this thought out to her own dismay, their house was atop a tall mountain in the Appalachians, there was no way. So now it was very clear to her Cherri's intentions.
AD: cherri, he isn't worth killing yourself over! you have so much to live for!
CB: Melody, just tell me where the gun is!
She was angry- it stung Melody's heart like venom. But Melody stayed strong- she had to. Otherwise there was no hope.
AD: no, cherri! you can’t!
CB: Nevermind. I found it. Goodbye.
Melody was crying now. Cherri was gone.
AD: cherri, stop it! don't kill yourself! i need you, still!
It was true. For Cherri was the eldest in nature, she was the anchor of the two twins.
CB: No you don't. You have Jack now. He can take care of you. Iit isn’t just because of Ken. I just… have to go.
AD: cherri, don’t!
CB: Fine then. Don’t want me to? Tell me why.
Yes! She had managed to make her wait. Melody was typing fast, trying to reply before Cherri pulled the trigger. But suddenly her screen was black.
