I walk home all the time. My dad is...busy so he can't pick me up and we can't afford a car."I told him with a shrug before I looked back at Nicolas. I then flinched when I heard thunder, it was one of my biggest fears other than the dark. My fears were childish and I knew it, but that didn't help them. I shook my head as I backed away, right back into the school."Um, I actually have some....things to do."I wanted to slap myself, I was such a horrible liar.

This was pathetic, I was too afraid to even go outside."I'll head home when the thunder stops, just go."I urged. He didn't need to be here just because I had some stupid, childish fear. I would usually just put my headphones in, but I had left them at home today.

They also felt strong and warm. I was so busy staring at our hands that I didn't even notice that we were outside until I heard the thunder boom in the sky and I let out a soft yelp, scrambling over to Nicolas and latch onto his arm. I blushed and quickly let go as I looked away from him."I'm sorry!"I said, my voice going up an octave.

I stopped at the passenger side of the car "I'll take you home. Just get in." I said before going around and getting in the drivers seat.[/size]
