Um... Giant journey into the unknown?
Possibily. What would the reason be though? That is the true question.
And Nox is accepted!

Perhaps they needed to venture into the unknown to solve some distressing event that has no solution in the currently known universe?
So we're talking a journey Into the Depths here? (Lol, matches the name of the role-play) So perhaps there could be some mission that our characters get sent on. Or maybe something that includes several different teams on a race towards or away from something?
Well the only real reason they'd have to venture into the unknown would most likely be to gather data for some government or private company. There isn't much this futuristic universe is missing it seems.
Both of those work but I was thinking something along the lines of a war. The humans could start it because they are still looking for planets to settle on, so it would make sense that they'd try to conquer one. Then everything would just domino like in the World Wars. Another planet would be pulled in due to an alliance, then another and another until we're left with at least two teams.
I like the concept of resource wars better. It could be mainly fuel, and basically they HAVE to fight within their own systems because using whatever fuel they have to explore other systems is a very risky option. Or we could have the humans try to conquer. If they have the ability to invade planets in the depth I've fully developed the Rurn so they could attack Razek.
I'll get a plot thread up later. I'm on a crummy computer and I don't know how to use it exactly. ![]()
I had developed a third star system full of inhabitable planets, one of them being a prison planet, but I got rid of it because I thought that was just too much information.
So the first move in the war would probably be the humans making a move on that first planet in the Theta-Vandor system, REPREACURY I believe? It contains a ton of oil and other minerals so it would be on the top of their list.
Just like that one quote.
"I do now know what weapons world war 3 will be fought with, but world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones."
Actually, it's probably way past world war 3... world war seven, maybe?
Technically it wouldn't be a world war because there are several solar systems involved now, lol.

Here's the plot thingie
To be honest I wasn't even thinking about Star Wars when I made this.
On another note I'm going to have to create empires for each of the planets. I'm lazy so I might just name the empires after the leading species. Ex Canike Empire, Feliniod Empire, Naga Empire.
Well I already developed the Rurnian empire so that's one less, but I can help with the others.
But at this point it's more efficient for one fuel to work for all ships.

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; width: 250px; height: 255px; overflow: auto;] [font=georgia] {ooc} I suggest that they use oil then. Either that or some form of electric energy. [color=#FFFF48]{ic} |
For long range travel they probably use fusion energy, anti-matter, or a variety or radiation. It's their preference I guess. But usually those fuels are well, very renewable

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=; width: 250px; height: 255px; overflow: auto;] [font=georgia] {ooc} It would vary between species. Everyone would have something different. Perhaps the only similarity would be in solar systems?? [color=#FFFF48]{ic} |
Even if it varies oil would be out of the question for space travel aiming to get farther than your system in less than a couple of decades.
Indeed.

What if (maybe the Canikes) some species or more went on one side or the other. Say the Canikes are almost all supportive for the humans for some reason, maybe an econimical bonus (something that the humans had on earth that no one else had) or for tade reasons. Maybe by the time the humans came upon Escolea, they offered the Canikes a deal. Then the Canikes had faith in the humans power, so the Canikes and the humans joined forces in a deal that would promote Escolea to a planet with human(or whatever that side is called) bases and opened trade with the Canikes and the humans. I'm just putting this out.

Heads up for anyone who's still subscribed to this thread, I might reuse this plot/setting soon if you're interested.
Take me, take me!
I got this weird idea for a race, but I shall only tell you if you confirm!

Definitely reusing it. I've been chatting with a few people who have been needing a role-play like this circulating around the website so yes, be prepared for Into the Depths to become active again. :)
