"what happened to your family? i had a family too, they died in a fire. i only have my brother now, and hes away seeing the different mountains."

" my mother died, when I was born and my father never had time to look after me right. I had to raise myself. he mated with another vixen and she had twin girls, but I have to look after them now because the vixen ran off and never came back. one of the girls is blind in one eye so she needs to learn to look out for danger at her blind side." Ranger explained, looking down

she poked him with her paw.
"hey. be thankful. you have me and my mate, im sure i can hunt overtime and bring you guuys something to eat and still manage to feed my own pups."

"Whoa!" Firefly screamed, overhearing.

shee shot a warning look at her pup.

" thanks for the offer, but I don't think you'll keep it up if you knew who my father was." Ranger said, with his ears drooped.

she shook her head
"you cant turn me down, plus, if i found out your father was even worse than i expect, id probably hunt even more."

" ok then. I've heard from other foxes stories about my father, every one of them were scared of him. his name is Blackclaw. he is pure black in colour, with tinges of blue." Ranger said

her claws scraped the ground
"i will feed you and your siblings"

Ranger scuffed his paw off the ground, " I assume you've heard of him then? thank you for helping us. our den isn't that far from here. no other foxes bother us because of our father." he explained

She covered her mouth with her paw.
"We got too many brothers and sisters, huh?" She said.

she laughed licking her pup
"u know i love you fire-fly."

" we don't have too many brothers and sisters Firefly. Ranger and his sisters aren't our family." Shade said laughing

she licked ranger, and laughed a little, licking her own pups.

She closed her eyes and said, "Awww! Mom you messed up my fuuuuurrr!"

Ranger's ears pricked. a few feet away a rabbit ran past. Ranger growled and quickly pounced on it, digging his paws into it's back, then he bit into it's neck.

she smiled

She forgot her momentary discomfort, when she saw a butterfly. She yipped, "It's my prey, Mommy! Watch me!" She went running after it.

Ranger stepped off the rabbit, keeping on paw on it with his claws digging in. " this should do me and my sisters for the night. Ebony, should also be hunting about now and Scarlett is at home. she's the one that's blind in one eye." he said
