Arin wasn't exactly upset over what had happened with him and Laia. He wasn't sure he was ever in love with her, but rather was infatuated. She was someone to spend time with at the moment, she returned his feelings, unlike the one person Arin had always had his eyes on. Things ended alright with Laia and they had remained friends after that, him and Lorcan too. He just hadn't seen them in years. It was nice to be surrounded by friends again, he had felt lonely these past few weeks. And now there was Alex too.
The sorcerer had no idea what to do then, at all. He was completely taken off guard, and he didn't have it in him to move away, so he just let the other man hold him. "You remind me of myself, that's why. Stubborn, hotheaded, a know it all," he snorted at that, just so Alex knew he wasn't being rude. "I might be riled up if I didn't feel like someone sucked all the energy out of me. Then I'd be shocking you multiple times!" he warned, before chuckling a little. He probably wouldn't do that regardless. At this point Alex still hadn't let go of him, he was still hanging on. Arin let out a small grumble and let his eyes shut, truly feeling how tired he was, from all the fighting that day, and the poison in his system. It didn't take long for Arin to pass out, his body slumping slightly down more comfortably in the blacksmiths grasp. Arin knew Alex was not going to let him live this one down when he woke up.

Alex let out a little laugh at his words, it was true what he said, they were alike. When Alex slumped down giving good signal he was asleep Alex was left to debate risk waking him up or stay still and continue to hold him. He chose the second option. "How are you supposed to heal me if you can't even stay awake" he uttered to the sleeping form with a little chuckle. With one arm still around Arin he moved the other behind him to better support both their weight. It was almost comforting the warmth against him, I say almost because the way it made his heart race had the exact opposite effect. Careful not to jostle the other out of sleep he lowered himself down so he was laying and the other was half on him, much easier on his side then holding up the weight of himself and the other. He let his eyes drift closed humming to himself as though he was slightly tired again the racing of his heart kept him up. It was the same song as the night before, it had been his mothers favorite so his father obviously passed it down to him making it his favorite.

Arin didn't wake up at all with Alex moving him around. He was like a baby, completely out cold, unmoving, and too deep in sleep to wake up at noises or movements. Not even the pace of Alex's heartbeat bothered him, nor did the humming. His sleep was devoid of dreams or nightmares, it was entirely peaceful, even though he didn't sleep for long. It had to only have been am hour or two before Arin woken up. And he didn't wake up on his free will at all. Nope.
Lorcan ended up coming by the infirmary, which was empty except the two of them and the fae healers and a few other patients in bed. "I have made arrangments for where you will be staying and-" he stopped, the male Fae blinked at the two of them in slight confusion for a moment, before he shrugged, thinning it made some sort of sense. Alex had been extremely worried over Arin. Little didid Lorcan know that what he was thinking was not the case. At least not yet. Anyways, Arin woke up at the sound of Lorcan speaking to them, since the Fae had been a little loud. At first he was confused, because he wasn't sure what he had been sleeping on. He sat up too fast in shock when he saw that it was Alex, and Arin winced again at the pain from sitting up straight, and he groaned a bit.
"Apologies, I didn't mean to wake you," Lorcan chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "I do have your rooms ready for you, though I can bring you to just one of them if you don-" Arin put a hand up to stop him.
"That's fine," he said and shifted, swinging his feet over the side of the bed, rubbing his tired eyes. "How long has it been?" he asked, glancing back at Alex, unsure if he had fallen asleep too or was awake; if he had been asleep, he had probably been awoken now too.
"Late evening. The festivities are starting soon, the ceremony is ending. Laia asked me to check up on you and send you to your rooms to wash up or change," he explained and Arin nodded, getting to his feet, a little unsteady at first but he was fine, the sleep had helped a lot. "Lead the way," he motioned for Lorcan to go but he himself waited for Alex to walk with him. He was sure his face was flushed red at the moment, extremely embarrassed for having fallen asleep in the man's arms, and for how he'd woken up.

Alex looked up at the source of the loud voice. He just blinked right back and pushed himself up after Arin had jumped all flustered and babbling. Honestly the shade of his cheeks that bright red, was actually kind of adorable. Really everyone seemed embarrassed but him, it was not like they had been caught doing anything, Arin had just been sleeping. Good thing to he needed it. Alex stood nodding to Arin in a silent 'I'll follow' wondering what was going on in his mind. "Slept like a baby" he whispered with a grin giving the other male a small nudge, he really had nothing had woken him up. It really had been nice, too bad the Fae had interrupted and woken him. "And now you look like a nice tomato" he commented with a laugh. Since the male had still not figured out how to make him react, or shut up for that matter, he sported a mix of a smirk and a grin and happily teased away.
Alex did not care much what the fae thought of them, he seemed surprised but did not judge, even if what he probably thought was going on Alex could only dream of. He just followed after towards the rooms. Unlike the inn this time they did have two rooms, pity though Alex really did hate the silence. At least in this verified hive of people there was just the noise of the day, chatting and working and all. So at least it was not only silence. He had himself believing that no one liked to be left with his thoughts, just so he did not have to add another odd worry to the rest. Sad about his mother broken over his father hiding in plain sight, his village became the home of his demons and the silence was their life. The silence was when they could take a hold of him. He pulled himself from his thought when they were shown two rooms to enter.

Despite the embarrassment, all Arin wanted to do was crawl back into bed with Alex and nap much much longer, perhaps until his body didn't hurt anymore. He ran a hand through his messed up hair and followed after Lorcan, glancing back at Alex with his comments, his teasing. "Well I was tired," he replied, and sighed at the fact he was so red. "I didn't mean to fall asleep like that," was all he said to the second comment. It wasn't the first time Arin had snoozed against the other. Lorcan kept quiet the whole time and then when they got to the rooms. "One of the fae will escort you to the main cavern where the party is when you're ready. I'm off to it now, see you," he said and nodded before heading off down the hallway.
"Before I forget to mention this at this party," Arin said once Lorcan was out of earshot, and once the other fae had left them be for a moment. "Don't drink anything blue. The fae like to play with guests sometimes, and you won't remember much of the night if you drink it. So be careful okay?" Arin warned before slipping inside his room. They'd left a new pair of clothes for both of the men in the room, as well as the rest of their weapons, bags, etc. Arin's previous shirt had been too dirty and filled with holes anyways, so it didn't matter to him. He slipped on the new clothing, and left his cloak there. He didn't need to hide anywhere in here, everyone was a friend. The sorcerer rubbed the back of his neck, feeling awkward and weird after what had just happened. And he wasn't exactly in the party mood, he'd rather just go back to bed. Or talk with Alex - about anything really. He left the room and went right across the hall to where Alex had been situated, and knocked a few times.

Alex walked into his own rom to see a bed with new cloths set out along with his cloak and sword. He closed the door and moved to it shedding his clothing and for the first time taking a look ad his side. It was worse then he had thought, dark color staining his side, he frowned and brushed his fingers over it before putting on the clean cloths put down for him. Alex had his shirt half on when here was a knock at the door, he called out a come in and by the time the door opened he was full clothed and turned around. He still had the leather strap wrapped around his forearm, didn't like to go anywhere without it. "Right lead the way then, how about you stay with me and make sure I don't drink anything blue to be safe" he said with a chuckle walking towards the door, towards the other male. Okay so maybe he did wish they could just stay in, maybe he wished he could just hold the other longer, but he knew it was not time and never would be time for them. The other male probably only showed interest to humor him or to keep him on the mission, not that anything could really take him off of it at this point. So he followed Arin through the halls lost in his own thoughts.

Arin waited patiently outside the door listening for a response, or Alex coming over to open up. But he heard the other man's voice to come inside and Arin opened up the door, staying in the doorway. "Darn, I was so hoping I'd catch you shirtless again," he joked as the man had just finished slipping on his shirt. He thought he saw the dark side of Alex's chest but he couldn't be too sure. Earlier the other man had asked Arin to be honest about his injuries, so he only hoped Alex would do the same thing.
"I don't know, the Fae like to pull handsome men like myself away to dance, so I'm not sure I can be at your side the whole night," Arin chuckled again, and shrugged. "I will keep an eye out for you," he rolled his eyes and moved away from the door as he headed down the hall, down towards the sounds of music and laughter echoing along the cave walls. Arin slowed down so the two could walk side by side, even though he was leading, but he let them be close enough to occasionally bump against each other. Arin felt the need to be close to Alex now, and he was mixed with feeling both angry with himself for that, but also slightly ... happy. It was weird.
A few moments later the cave opened up, with torches along the walls for lighting, there were tables and chairs set up in a circle with a dance floor in the middle, and a bonfire right in the middle of it where some of the fae were dancing around. The two married fae were sitting close together at the end of the cavern, and Arin looked around for Laia, and she was dancing with Lorcan. Once she saw the two of them though she waved and pulled Lorcan along with her to greet them. "Good you came! Help yourself to the food over there, I'm sure the two of you are hungry. And then just have some fun, a stressless night. You two look so tense. Lighten up okay?" she said and then disappeared back into the party.
As soon as Laia said food the sorcerer glanced in the direction of tables full of it - and all kinds. It looked like chicken or some bird, and potatoes, and corn and so many other good food. "Well my stomach is going to hurt tonight," Arin joked and headed over, grabbing a plate and filling it up.

Alex followed after him grabbing some food before leaning down to whisper "Guess you'll just have to dance with me then." The smirk on his face was less than innocent as he headed off to a place to sit so he could properly eat. He left a seat for Arin open beside him but began to eat without him. The food was better than anything he could hope to make and so he had to force himself to eat at a reasonable pace, after all eating too fast would just cause his stomach to hurt and then he would not be able to properly enjoy the food so it seemed best to avoid that. Alex looked up when the other male finally sat down to comment on something he had said earlier. He obviously waited until his mouth was not full to speak, "You missed shirtless me by a hair but maybe if you come back after you won't" he said with his signature smirk before going back to his food as if that were a normal hing to say. He may be ruining his chances but he really did enjoy just holding the other, there was something more to it then doing something sexual. It was more sincere in a way.
Alex pulled himself out of that set of thoughts only to catch another, out of everything the other did he reacted to the only one not meant to get a reaction. The way his heart started pumping when the male said his whole name reminded him of Angus from the story. 'Mind all hurley gurly heart all flitter flutter' he scoffed at himself for thinking such odd thoughts. At least he had hidden it well, or he was fairly certain he had, never being one to blush the best way to tell if something caused any sort of reaction if if you were laying the way Arin had been before and could hear his heart. The one thing you really can't control, heart pace.

Arin chuckled at Alex, "Are you a good dancer?" he called. The sorcerer himself was awful. He had to go to balls sometimes back at the palace and he hated it. Usually he skipped out and went to the library instead, or practiced his magic. Sometimes he had to dance with some girls but he always stepped on their toes. He also didn't like watching all the eligible princesses dancing with Lucien, so really, he slipped away any chance he got. So when the faeries asked him to dance, he often let them dance around him while he awkwardly stood there, it was so so awful. So really, he hoped the fae stayed away and didn't invite him. Along with food, he grabbed some drinks for the both of them, making sure they weren't drugged. "Your drinks are safe," he said as he sat down across from alex.
The sorcerer started to eat his food, and at Alex's second statement he blushed. Arin couldn't help it this time, and he didn't say anything, his cheeks stayed red as he looked down at his plate. He took a long sip of the drink, some sort of wine, and then ate more of the food slowly. It was gone soon though, despite him eating slowly, and he finished off his drink. Once he was done he glanced around the room at all the happIness, and just overall good feeling in the air. He frowned though, because he felt distant from it all. "What do you think you'd be doing with your life, if you weren't a blacksmith, Alexander? Or what do you think you'd want to be doing? Would you choose a different life for yourself?" He was only asking because he definitely would. Arin would rather be some farm boy, or a bakers son, rather than a sorcerer. He desperately wanted to be normal...magic wasn't a gift to him, it was a burden.

Alex looked up when the male said 'Alexander' again, the smirk on his lips faltering for a moment before coming back. It was only a split second slip, no one probably noticed, "I quite like being a blacksmith actually, it sucked I never got any sort of formal education, I sorta just had to teach myself. People tend to like blacksmiths though, useful to everyone, strong, not many actually want to know you though." he ended the last part quietly, he would not trade his life actually if he had been somewhat interested in girls it may have been easier but he did not want to get rid of the liking to guys."How about you?" he asked before a pity comment could be said. Alex always hated pity from people, never knowing his mother, especially after he lost his father he hated the looks people gave him, with big sad eyes, all the 'poor boy' he could hear as he walked by.

Alex turned his attention down to his food pulling himself from his thoughts to listen to a reply. He took a drink of whatever Arin had brought him, it was decent, before going back to his food. The amount of noise in the large space he was used to but the celebration not as much, there was always little celebrations in his village but they did not have the time or resources to do something so elaborate. Everyone would bring what little they had to spare and there would be dancing, but never as elegant as this. It was quicker and less elegant, took much less skill because you just had to follow your partner. There were the songs where the girls and boys would pair up skipping and twirling nearly missing each other but they had been doing these dances since childhood so everyone was good enough. Then his thoughts flipped, why did that male have t gt his heart racing so by just calling him Alexander, people rarely did and it never did that before.

Arin caught it this time, the reaction after he'd said his full name. It was slight and quick, but he picked up on it and the male made a mental note to use that against Alex when it was necessary. He nodded as he listened to him answer his question. He was kind of surprised that there wasn't any other life Alex wanted, but at the same time it made sense with the other males personality. "I want to know you, but you're almost as secretive as me," he laughed and gave a nice little charming smile before shrugging as he was asked about him.
"I'd rather not have magic. People expect too much from me, to save them, to help them, to give them things they don't have, use me," Arin sighed and let his shoulders droop for a moment. "I do enjoy helping people, don't get me wrong, but I just wish people would see past the fact I'm a sorcerer, and that I'm a person too," he wasn't looking at Alex, and he felt bad for getting so deep, so he cleared his throat. "Sorry I didn't mean to get depressing. But I'd rather be anything but what I am," he said and scratched his head for a moment, letting out another sigh, and then stood up, taking his cup with him. "I am going to get more," he announced and then disappeared off to find some more wine. Yes, more alcohol to feel better.

Alex listened to the others reply, it did get sad but not as bad as it would get if Alex ever actually delved into his past. He looked but before he could open his mouth to even give a shit 'sorry' the other excused himself and rushed off to get more drink. "Don't have too much, I'll have to carry you back" he called after the male with a little chuckle, first line of defense was always change the subject. That or just hide up in a room where he did not have to worry about people seeing him. Alex turned his attention back to the small amount of food left on his plate finishing it up before leaning back to watch all the dancing. It was delightful to watch, he had to admit, but he would do just fine without joining in. His eyes scanned over all the people before he turned his attention back to the plate in front of him, he took another sip of the drink in front of him before turning to see if Arin was headed back.

Alex hoped Arin did not think Alex was using him, he really was not, if he did say anything bad he hoped the other male knew he did not mean it. He wrinkled up his nose in distaste at the thought before leaning back in his seat once more. He did not want to see Arin with that sad droopy look again, he plain did not like it, it was much nicer when he smiled or was embarrassed. Alex shook his head, in this setting with all the fae and whatnot he needed Arin with him. He had no idea what he was doing there, what was going on around him, but Arin seemed to. He liked the weird mix of arguing and flirting in the conversations, it was the sort of comfort and speed with which a reply could come o him that rarely happened. He moved to rest his chin on his hands and look out towards the dancing again, the way they all flowed around each other was so different then the tossing turmoil of dances he was used to. Where men exchanged partners mid spin and when womens skirts flared up just enough to attract her next partner.

"Mm maybe that's my plan, so I get to pass out in your arms again," Arin called back with a smirk, teasing him back about the whole thing. But to be honest, it didn't seem like a bad idea though, getting drunk so Alex had to carry him back. He wandered away and filled up his cup, drinking it all right there before getting more again. He didn't go back to the table right away, no he stood and watched Alex from where he was. He didn't think the other man was using him at all. In fact he might be the first person besides Lucien who didn't want anything from him but some sort of companionship. Plus this man was practically sacrificing his whole world just to help Arin, and the sorcerer desperately wanted to know why.
Luckily the man was looking away now, watching the people dance, and he took the time to admire Alex. He didn't get why his view towards the other man changed so quickly in a day. Maybe it was because no one had shown any sort of compassion for him, or cared for his wellbeing. It took him by surprise, and it was just a weird feeling trying to figure out what this all was.
"Why aren't you over there talking to him, instead of sitting here ogling him," Laia suddenly appeared next to him, scaring the heck out of the man, causing him to jump. Laia laughed at his reaction meanwhile Arin was blushing. "I was , I just went to get a drink. And I'm not oogling, I'm just...watching," he shrugged, defending himself there, and he rubbed his chin.
Laia snorted, "Oh please Arin, Lorcan told me about how he found you today, you two are very close hmm?" She wiggled her eyebrows playfully, laughing as his face grew even redder.
"It's not like that. I barely know him, we met only a few days ago," Arin said, letting his face calm down, and he took another sip of his drink. Laia took the cup from him and set it down. "Then go get to know him. You'vr always been a closed person. I am very sorry to hear about Lucien, I know you loved him, but you have to let yourself be happy again," she squeezed his shoulder and then pushed Arin towards the table they had just been sitting at.
Arin huffed and glared at her, getting himself together before returning to the table, sitting down next to Alex instead. "Go dance if you want to," he said, commenting on the fact he was watching the party.

He glanced around to see Arin talking to Laia he turned his attention off of that quick as he could and back towards the swirling mass of people. It was like they were one being gentle and calm as opposed to the battle for attention he was used to. It was interesting to see just the complete difference between a group of people who knew immediately when they had met the one and a group of people who never stop looking. Almost like there was a sort of comfort in knowing if the person was just a bit of fun or the real deal, a comfort he almost wished he could have. Alex looked up when the seat beside him was taken grinning when he realized it was Arin. He listened to his words and shook his head immediately after, "No no it's completely different than what I'm used to. This is calm and elegant, I am used to people skipping and spinning barely missing. Trades in partners mid turn. It's when the girls try and find the male they can marry so there are skirts flaring enough to peak the interest of the next person." he dropped out to shrug and smile. "It's a battle back home." he added with a little chuckle.

Alex leaned in a little "That is unless you wanna dance" he said lowly before leaning back, he was fairly certain the other male had declined, didn't he mention earlier not being any good? So there was a security in this teasing because neither of them really wanted to dance. His cheeks were paler than usual, the way one gets after blushing Alex was no sure if he liked that fact considering he had been talking to Laia and who knows what could have been said to make him blush. He bit down on the inside of his cheek to keep from saying anything and offered up a small grin before turning back to the dancing. "You want to know more about me, and I still know little about you." he said without turning, his voice was cheerful but there was a implication with the words that if they were alone he would be pouting with his usual 'not fair' face on.

Arin couldn't help but smile back at the grin he was given when he came and sat down with Alex. He laughed a bit as he said the dancing was too different from what he knew, and he started talking about human customs. "Oh believe me, I know exactly how it works. I've been to far too many balls. Though I managed to never stick around, I hated it," he smirked and then shook his head as he was asked to dance. "Oh no, I don't want to dance. I can't, I physically cannot," he laughed again at himself, and then stared down at his hands in his lap for a while, staying quiet.
Now he had no idea what he was supposed to do or say or anything, it was all so awkward, but it was almost comfortable at the same time. He played with the sleeves of his shirt absentmindely, glad that the other man hadn't commented on his previous blushing or asked about the conversation he'd had with Laia. Then Alex spoke up as he looked away, saying that he knew nothing about him. "I want to know everything, Alexander," Arin said his name again, but more quietly, softly. "And you do know a lot about me. You know about my parents don't you? That I was raised at the castle, that I pretty much hate my life, that I loved the prince," he explained. "You know that I know the fae, you know I'm a sorcerer...and I just know you're a blacksmith. A blacksmith who knows a lot of stories and how to sing," Arin pointed out all of these things, and he eventually stood up, brushing off his shirt. "Let's go somewhere else to talk," he suggested. And he honestly wanted to get outside the cave system, get some fresh air, see the stars, the sky..hear the sounds of nature. That would be nice than the echoing party in the cave.

Alex did not have to worry about showing any signs of reacting seeing as he was not facing the other male, but they way his heart sped up still made him uncomfortable, "I don't like talking about it because people always get these big sad pity eyes and mutter things like 'poor boy' behind my back." he responded turning back to hear him suggest going elsewhere, Alex just nodded and stood pushing the chair back in and waiting for the other to lead the way. He would leave most the noise behind but at least it would not be total silence, he would be talking to the other. "One thing you seem to have forgotten, everyone calls me Alex" he said with a little laugh, more like a sharp exhale that resembled a laugh. It was more than cute the way the smaller male played with his sleeves in the absence of conversation. Alex took the chance of standing behind him to look him over with a little smile, people must have really abused his faith to make him hate his life.

All Alex could ever remember wanting was to go be a blacksmith for the royals, where there would be better food and access to more books then the ones he had memorized a long while ago. Where he could have the resources to make beautiful blades, he used to use the extra iron to make little dragons for the children in his free time, and heart shaped horse shoes when his friend wanted to woo the millers daughter then after when someone wanted to get a girl who would see the appeal. They used to call them unicorn shoes, and give it to the girls to not only catch their attention but a sort of symbol that the boy saw her as pure hearted and kind. Back to the point, Alex had only ever really wanted to work at the castle, no lavish lifestyle, just the freedom and ability to make all the things he was not able to before. Arin had that life but so many things had come with it that he hated that life and it bewildered Alex as to why anyone would do something that bad to the kind boy.

Arin wished the other man hadn't turned away so he could look at him. "I think you should know by now I wouldnt look at you like that or say "poor boy". If anything I might understand," he assured the other man and reached out to touch his shoulder, give it a light squeeze, and he only let go when Alex stood up. He waited for him to push in the chair, and Arin rolled eyes at the gesture, goodness he was so polite and mannerly. Eventually he began walking out of the area, trying to find somewhere to go. He honestly had no idea how to navigate, so he asked one of the fae guards to show him somewhere the two of them could go above and get fresh air. The fae warrior agreed and began leading the way.
Arin snorted as he said everyone called him Alex. "Well I'm not everyone," he replied. "Plus...I think you like hearing your full name from me," he said and nudged the man with his elbow. He was touching him at nearly every chance he got now, and he didn't realize it. Anyways, the fae male eventually got to a stone staircase that led up to a grassy field near the river that eventually led to the waterfall. "Thank you," Arin said and went upstairs, glancing back at Alex. "How about you tell me more about you and your parents and I will tell you the story of how I got my scars. Its...something I don't like to remember but, I've got to face what happened sometime. I mean the reminder is on my back," he sucked in a breath and laid down.

Alex shook his head and laughed at the suggestion that he liked it when Arin said his name, so what if it was true he would never admit it. He followed behind the other on the stairs tensing for a moment when he mentioned his parents, "Parent" he corrected quietly as he resumed motion. He slung an arm over the others shoulders, it seemed to be okay to touch now, and pulled him into his side. "You don't have to tell me, I'm sure you'd laugh at how I got mine" he said with a light smile. Second line of defense, just smile through it then no one takes it seriously. He guided them to a bench he had spotted taking the seat on the right and motioning for the other to sit beside him. If he got what he was planning he could position them so he would not have to actually look Arin in those golden eyes. That plan was to pull Arin into his side so the smaller male's head was on his chest and not facing him. That would run the risk of hearing his heart speed up but that was not as bad.

"Mom died during birth, remember I said she was a small lady well I was a big baby. Even waddling around with her big belly no one in town dared to question her." he said with a little shrug. He was never terribly broken up about his mother, how could he be having never met her. But he could see whenever his father told him about her the sadness in those green eyes showed. So his father never remarried, not that there was anyone else who could handle the big blacksmith, such a little lady had more fire then the bellows could hope to produce. So he was fine mentioning her while the male cold see him, but that would e the only topic he would stay on until the other could not see his face. Out of everything in the world the thing he hated most was showing fear or pain to another person, he could talk about it as long as no one saw it. That is why he had such a big thing about reactions, he loved to provoke them from others but only ever the good ones.

Arin glanced at Alex when he was corrected...so it was only his dad with him. He didnt do anything as the other man put an arm around his shoulders. It didn't feel like their embrace last time, this one felt too buddy-buddy and Arin...he just didn't like that feeling. He much preferred the way he'd been held last time, plus, Alex smelled pretty good despite the fact they hadnt cleaned up in a few days. Maybe they'd get to do that here? Anyways, Arin just walked besides him as he listened to him speak. "No its fine. I want you to know," he shrugged. The other man led them over to a bench and he sat down, debating with himself to sit close and lean on the man or just stay apart. He went with what he desired and slid close to move into Alex's side. It was amazing how easily weakened Alex was making him just by being touched by him.
If this...whatever it is was happening with them went any steps further, Arin was sure he would combust. He hadn't had these kinds of feelings since Lucien, and it was terrifying yet thrilling at the same time. Arin also wasn't sure if he should lead Alex on, because...this was a quest and they needed to focus on what was important. The gemstone.
Arin listened to him again when he began talking more about his mom and his dad. "She really sounds like a person I'd love to meet. She also sounds like you though," he smirked a little bit, though the other man couldn't see him. He just leaned into him, feeling warmer, though sitting like this on the bench was weird, they'd be better off just relaxing on the ground. "What happened to your father?" he asked quietly, since he hadn't mentioned that, and Arin asked it carefully because he was sure it was a touchy subject.

Alex listened to the other male speak with a little chuckle after, "Not really like me though. People follow what I say because they think I could beat them if they fought me, they knew she would beat them." He ended with a little laugh wrapping an arm around the others waist so he could pull him close enough he could not actually see Alex's face, he knew what was coming next. And there it was, the dreaded question, he lifted his gaze to the sky so maybe it would seem more like he was talking to himself. "He was a big Scotsman with fire red curls, a booming voice to match his look. He always told all those stories with the morals and sang the old songs, his voice never was much good though. He was always kind to everyone around him but could give orders when need be. He was not able to teach me to read or write but he taught me everything he knew about smithing and life in general." he ended there, Arin knew what his father was like now and hopefully he had dragged that answer out enough to curb the others curiosity.

He had a light frown on his face, his brow furrowed so there was a crease, he looked down to the top of the smaller males head before shaking his own. "I guess that makes it your turn" he said his voice hushed, at this point he just wanted to go to the rooms and not have to talk about stuff anymore because at some point Arin would realize he was just telling him about people and not actual events. For now he could cover it up well enough with enough information to throw around. "I would make little s shaped dragons for the children of the town, and when my friend wanted to get the attention of the millers eldest daughter I made him a heard shaped horse shoe to give. He called it a unicorn shoe, a way of flattering her by saying she was pure and innocent." he said, more so to distract himself with the better memories then for the purpose of telling Arin.
