Arin honestly wasn't exactly in the best state to care whether or not Alex was returning. He was sure the other man was tired anyways, they obviously both were. Anyways, he didn't get to fall asleep or anything before there was a knock at the door. With a yawn, Arin rolled on his back. "Come in," he mumbled and moved to sit up. It was only Laia as she entered. She had a bandage on her arm and she chuckled at him, before heading over and sitting down beside him. "I was coming to check on you, Alex too and see how you were doing," she said and reached out to ruffle his hair. "You look tired, but mostly okay. How's he?" she motioned to the door, meaning Alex.
Arin pushed away her hand from his hair with an eye roll. "He was pretty bad last night and this morning, but he soaked in the baths for a whIle and he's alright now. I'll probably check on him in a moment but I wanted to ... sleep.." he laughed. Laia nodded, listening to him. "Well good, I'm glad you're both okay. In a few hours up and outside we're going to celebrate our victory. It's also a holiday for us fae," she pat his hand. "Hopefully you two won't be too tired and can have some fun before you head out," she suggested. Arin nodded and then Laia left.
Arin got up then and glanced around, before walking over to his bag of things. He pulled out a circular mirror and then waited patiently, for the princess to get the mirror on her end. She did, and the princess looked relieved to see Arin. She demanded a million questions, and he told her he was okay, what was going on, etc. He said when he was expected to be back and that she should stay safe and be careful. Then Arin slipped the mirror back in his bag and got up, going across the hall, quietly letting himself into Alex's room. The sorcerer saw that Alex was all comfortable and looked asleepx so he hovered near the door unsure if he should head back to his own room.
