PLOT
After watching "The Good Dinosaur" in theater (and I rate it ***** and a 10/10), I've decided to do a continuation of the story, since I believe that every good movie such as this one deserves to be furthered.
It's been 20 years, and Arlo, still working the farm that his father did before, now has kids of his own, the youngest being twelve-year old Timber, who is about as terrified of the world as Arlo used to be when he was his age.
Despite his fear, Timber is desperate to prove himself and earn his mark, being inspired by the stories Arlo tells of him of his adventures beyond Claw Tooth Mountain and his journey back home. What he doesn't realize is that adventure is about to find him. While running away from home being convinced that he will never earn his mark, a flash flood similar to the one Arlo and his father experienced before drags him away into the Beyond. Lost, stranded, and ultimately turned around, Timber must take it upon himself to face his fears and get home.
Along the way, he encounters the characters that Arlo had described only in his stories, as well as some new ones as well, who will either help or detain him along his quest.
And that's where our charries come in.
RULES
1. All FeralFront rules and expectations apply here, so please abide by them.
2. No fighting during the RP. You can either work it out diplomatically, or take it outside to a PM.
3. This is a semi-advanced/advanced roleplay, so a minimum of 6 sentences and a maximum of two paragraphs is required. Please do not bullsh*t it, unless of course you are rushed. (Excuse my language there.)
4. As there will be humans being roleplayed as well, try to keep an even ratio of dinosaurs to humans. Also, try to keep the humans as akin to Spot as possible.
5. Canon characters will be available for roleplay. If you want to apply for one, just use the sign-up form given and go from there. I will list your name once I have accepted you.
6. If you can't find a good image for your dinosaur or human charries that resembles the style of "TGD", don't be discouraged! Just find an image that best represents what you want to show, and use your imagination for the rest!
7. Descendants of the canons are allowed, but the maximum is three to each player.
8. If you read the rules, put your favorite dinosaur in the "Other" section.

TIMBER
"Sometimes I wonder if I have any role whatsoever..."
Name: "Timber."
Age: "Twelve, but I'll be thirteen next summer."
Species: "I'm a farmer, but I'm not exactly good at it." Apatosaurus.
Gender: "Please. Just don't." Male.
Height/Length: "I'm as tall as Papa's shoulder, but I'm not nearly as long as him." He's twelve feet tall and eighteen feet long.
Personality: "I want to stop being scared, but it's hard." Timber is virtually a mirror image of what Arlo was like when he was his age. He's personally inspired by his Papa's tales beyond the Claw-Toothed Mountains, but he hasn't made much success in getting through his own fears. He's not hopeless, however, for he's very determine to make his mark, and that's all it takes to keep him in good spirits and keep him going.
History: "It's no big deal." Timber was born eight years after the events in "The Good Dinosaur". By that time, Arlo had assume responsibility of his father's farm, while his brother Buck went on to start one of his own. Timber's aunt Libby still lives on the family farm with Arlo and Timber.
Crush/Mate: "Why are you asking me this?" None, may develop.
Relationships: "I love my Papa to death, as well as my aunt Libby. My cousin Quill is my best and so far only friend."

ROGER
"You best be backing up, stranger."
Name: "Roger, dodger."
Age: "I've seen fifteen summers, so far." Fifteen years old.
Species: "I'm a rancher, at heart." Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Gender: "You blind or something?" Male.
Height/Length: "I'm about as tall as Pa's chin, but not quite as long." He's 10 feet tall at the hips and 40 feet long.
Personality: "Shoo. I'm busy." Roger's life is constantly on the go along with the longhorns, so he doesn't have much time for normal chatter. He's brave as ranchers go, and compared to his brother Nash, he's the most attentive. His initial gruffness with strangers shows just how much he has inherited from his father Butch, but he's a big old softie at heart, once one has gotten to know him a little.
History: "Too much to talk about. Let's move on." Roger was born five years after the events in "The Good Dinosaur", and since then has adopted the same routine his siblings Ramsey and Nash had while growing up raising and running longhorns between ranches year round. Being the youngest of Butch's children, Butch took, and still takes, special care in showing him the ropes with assistance from his older children, whom are already well-seasoned and about ready to strike off on their own. Believing in the idea of learning on the job, Butch started having Roger do solo-herding of the longhorns once he'd turned ten.
Roger got his first scar at twelve, when Bubbha's rustler pack ambushed him during one of his solo-runs. The story about what happened after is no joke---almost all the pack in the end went home sore and bruised afterward. Butch was there near the end of the fight to see the rest off, but the event and the scar proved that Roger could hold his own in any situation.
A year later, Ramsey left the ranch to raise her own family and longhorn herd, leaving Butch, Nash, and Roger, then thirteen, to take care of the family ranch. And that's what they've been doing ever since.
Crush/Mate: "No one else is around to catch my eye, and I ain't old enough." None, may develop.
Relationships: "Here, it's just me, Pa, and Nash. My big sister Ramsey left a few years ago." Roger enjoyed a good bond with Ramsey when she was still living with him and the rest of the Rex family, so he was a bit saddened when it was time for her to take off, raise her own family, and manage her own longhorn herd.
Roger and Nash get along quite well, partaking in games together and making pranks on each other when spare time allows it. Unlike with Ramsey, Roger doesn't have to worry so much about Nash setting out on his own, but just in case, he hangs on to every moment he has with his big brother.
Roger looks up to Butch as a father and as an important figure in his life, admiring Butch's bravery and skill in herding longhorns. Butch knows this, and takes special care in teaching Roger everything he knows, with the help of Nash. Anytime they aren't on the ranch, Butch, Roger and Nash can be found most often by an evening fire telling stories and sharing fun moments they've had in the past.

Other: "We done? Good. Gotta go." My favorite dinosaurs are Velociraptor, Utahraptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Ankylosaurus, and around eleven others.

FOXTAIL
"How do you do?"
Name: "The name's Foxtail."
Age: "I tend not to keep track." Fourteen years old.
Species: "Well, I'm supposed to be a rustler..." Velociraptor.
Gender: "And I thought Pervis was dumb." Male.
Height/Length: "I'm no Rex, but I'm pretty big." He's 6 feet tall at the head and 9 feet long.
Personality: "You seem nice, I guess." Foxtail is the one good egg out of a nest of ones long gone bad. If the saying is true that you are what you eat, then he'd prefer not to eat something he'll feel bad about eating later---for example, the longhorns that the rustlers try to steal from Butch and his Tyrannosaurus Rex family on a daily basis. He doesn't find much appeal in the rustler occupation, and therefore is a bit lost as to what his role is. Naturally inquisitive of strangers and other ways of life outside his pack's, one can find a friend in him.
History: "Eh...Can we talk about something else?" Foxtail was born six years after the events in "The Good Dinosaur", and was curious of everything from the start, so much that his father Bubbha always had trouble rooting him down and keeping him out of trouble.
Foxtail didn't fall into the rustler occupation very easily---if given the choice, he'd prefer a job that didn't involve stealing someone else's food. Unfortunately, his pack mates don't share his mindset, with the possible exception of Pervis and Lurleane, but Pervis flip-flops too often to be reliable, and Lurleane is already accustomed enough to a life of theft that she has no problem with it. Therefore, Foxtail has always had difficulty trying to be a team player within the pack.
Crush/Mate: "Can you ask me a more intelligent question, please?" None, may develop.
Relationships: "The pack is basically my family. They're not horrible, but they're not great, either." Foxtail has secluded himself in a personal way from the rest of his pack due to his differential views, but it isn't quite as bad when his morals aren't being put under pressure.
Bubbha is Foxtail's father and arguably the most motivated to get his son to fit in. He attempts to get him decently involved into the rustling business (without much success), which is enough to keep the fourteen year old from wandering off.
Lurleane is Foxtail's mother, and is slightly more tolerant towards her son's habits than Bubbha is. As a mother, she loves him to near death, even if she doesn't completely understand or agree with her son's viewpoints.
Pervis is sort of like an older brother for Foxtail, and he's arguably the most tolerant of Foxtail's ideals within the pack. That unfortunately doesn't say much, for he tends to move back and forth on opinions, most often swaying towards Bubbha's side of a matter.
Foxtail identifies Earl as his crazy uncle, and tends not to have much conversation with him. When Earl is not acting insane, however, they get along fairly well.

ARLO
"It's OK to be scared. I still get scared sometimes."
Name: "Arlo."
Age: "I've gotten through thirty two winters." Thirty-two years.
Species: "I've been a farmer all my life." Apatosaurus.
Gender: "You're joking, right?" Male.
Height/Length: "I'm as big as my Papa used to be." He's 23 feet tall and 70 feet long.
Personality: "I'm not as scared as I once was, but I still get afraid, just for different reasons. But it's ok to be scared. Butch faced down a croc, and he was scared while doing it. He taught me that I couldn't get rid of fear, but I could still get through it. That's what I'm trying to teach to my son Timber."
History: "It's a crazy one, but I don't mind." The events in "The Good Dinosaur" pretty much explain Arlo's history.
Crush/Mate: "My wife Bailey is my everything."
Relationships: "I do everything I can for my family, and Timber is no exception. I know that with time, he will get through his fears and be able to make his mark."

BUTCH
"If you ain't scared when a croc bites you on the face, you ain't alive."
Name: "Keep your nose to yourself." Butch.
Age: "What did I just say?" Fifty eight years.
Species: "Take your guess." Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Gender: "If you're pulling my leg, I'm gonna eat yours." Male.
Height/Length: "I'm big enough to fit you under my foot." He's 13 feet tall and 45 feet long.
Personality: "Get a move on." Butch is a no-nonsense, veteran longhorn rancher who can be especially gruff when it comes to stranger. He has a great dislike for anyone who gets on his bad side, and he's not very cooperative until you earn his respect. On the positive side, he's got the heart of a lion, even if he is afraid.
History: "I don't know if you're ready for that story." Butch doesn't really say anything about his past, but one story of his makes that fact needless. Probably before he had his kids Nash and Ramsey, he had stopped down by a watering hole after going five days with no water. Just as he was getting a drink, however, three crocs launched out of the water, one of them biting him on the face and leaving him his scar. "I wasn't ready for dying that day... I bit that croc in half, tail whipped the other, and the last one? Well, I drowned that croc in my own blood."
Crush/Mate: "Don't make me hurt you." To be honest, I'm not sure if he has a mate. Someone obviously had to have mothered Nash and Ramsey, but where she is/was while they were growing up, I have no idea.
Relationships: "Hmm..." Butch doesn't tend to show a soft side, but he's very fond of his children and takes special care in raising them right. He is particularly devoted to his youngest son Roger, as Ramsey had left when he was thirteen, and Nash had learned just about everything he could from his old man and was ready to start a life of his own as well. All in all, he always enjoys sitting with his two sons around an evening fire and watching over the family herd.
