  • Chunin Exams

What happens when a bunch of young ninjas from all the hidden villages come together for the chunin exams? I mean, those exams are pretty tough. But what about this special group of young ninjas? Do they have what it takes?

  • Instead of forms, I reckon we could just go with introductory paragraphs XP

The 12-year-old Shizuka Hatake, was interesting to say the least. The only difference between her and her big brother was that she didn't read books like 'Make-Out Paradise'. Nobody thought of this as a bad thing though.

The young kunoichi was walking through the streets of Konoha, the mask that hid the bottom half of her face was identical to Kakashi's, her white hair reaching only shoulder length.

Machi, a 13-year-old-nearing-her-next-birthday, was a vibrant, and headstrong young Uchiha girl. She sat at home, beside her mother, eating the morning's meal. "Mother," she began, cheek swollen with some food, before swallowing it tastefully, instead of carrying on rudely.

Setting down her spoon, she looked over at Akako Uchiha, her fiery, but warm mother. "I've decided! I want to be the strongest Shinobi that has ever come out of Konoha! I want to be known as the strongest Uchiha!"

Akako blinked and glanced over at her young daughter. A grin spread across her face. "An admirable goal. Come with me. I want to show you something." With that, the meal appeared to be over, as her mother got up, and left the room, with her daughter in tow.

  • Unfortunately, Shizuka's leisurely stroll didn't last as long as she had hoped.

    "Hey Shizu! Wanna go train?"

Yasei Uzumaki, Shizuka wasn't sure that she had known anybody else with so much energy.

Shizuka Hatake, Yasei wasn't sure that he had known anybody else so emotionless. Well, he knew for a fact that she wasn't emotionless. It had been the first day that they had been declared a team, and he had made a joke about her brother.

Let's just say that he never said anything bad about Kakashi after that. Ever.

Shizuka nodded, and Yasei grinned, grabbing her wrist before running off towards the forest area where they always trained.

  • Machi followed her mother with an intrigued look on her youthful, young face. Her mother had her mysterious ways, the Uchiha girl had learned through her short years of life. Akako was not currently a practicing kunoichi, but she had been in her past. Her skill with the Fire Element that was of basic nature to Uchiha's was well-known in the clan. She patented the 'Fire Release: Grand Torrent Flame'. A monolithic sprout of roaring orange flame that was as large as a street and snaked around like it had a mind of its own.

In fact. That was one jutsu that Machi herself wanted to learn from her mother. It was awe-inspiring.

Her father actually became quite enamored with Akako from the mere sight of the magnificent jutsu. It lead to them meeting and falling in love.

Her mother turned to her, and held out her hand, a smile on her warm face. "Do you know what this is, Machi?" she asked.

Machi only had to glance it once; immediately knowing what the small paper she held in her hand was. "Yes! It's for determining one's Chakra-Nature!" she exclaimed excitedly, with a nod.

"Correct. I think it is time we find out your nature!" she announced, handing the paper over to her daughter.

"That's easy.. it's fire..." Machi murmured, taking the paper and immediately biting back her words. Her family was known for its fire affinity. Even among the Uchiha, who already had an unnatural affinity for the blazing element. However, it seemed fate had another course set for Machi, as the paper within her palm immediately began crumpling in on itself harshly it even made scraggy paper noise. Vastly different then when it was supposed to ignite and turn to ash indicating the affinity for fire.

Lightning. Machi's innate ability seemed to be tied to the most volatile of the elements. She was stunned. "N-no. It's supposed to be fire!"

She felt her mother's hand on her shoulder, and she glanced up at the older woman, of whom she was almost the spitting younger image of.

"Haha. Now now. Judging by the way the paper reacted, it seems you have quite the strong association with lightning, in much the same way fire comes so naturally to me." She leaned in with a smile, and said. "It's unique. Embrace it."

  • "AHHH!" A considerably unmanly scream echoed throughout the forest.

The shadow of Shizuka's hands had crept up on Yasei while he wasn't paying attention, and now one was binding his hands behind his back, the other creeping towards his throat.

"SHIZUKA! I'M SORRY FOR ANYTHING I EVER SAID ABOUT YOUR BROTHER! PLEASE LET ME GO!"

"Yasei, calm down, I'm not going to actually hurt you," The white-haired girl sighed, her eyes showing off nothing but boredom as her shadow returned back to her.

The red-haired ninja fell to the ground, taking extremely large gulps of air as if they were going to be his last, "How-can-you-even-use-that jutsu? Isn't that-something-only the-Nara Clan-knows?"

Shizuka approached the boy, lowering herself closer to his place on the ground. Raising her finger to her mask-concealed lips, she whispered, "It's a secret."

OOC: Hey, can you make the team leader?
