Dove was getting too attached, and that was bad. Very bad. Most of Sunclan was positively fucked up, but that was charming to the odd creature. Everyone had history, she wouldn't let anyone find out her's.
The beach was beautiful. She even had her own beach house. It was a small little thing, only big enough for one. It had its own porch, a rich mahogany, and it even had a porch swing. The paint was a pretty jade color and the roof sloped down in triangle shape, it was painted white. The inside was quite roomy. Wooden pillars stood like guards all around the house, the floors and walls matched with the same mahogany. The windows were open and ivory silk curtains blew in the breeze. Their was a mattress on the floor in the corner and a - you guessed it - a mahogany dresser sat next to it. The ceiling was high and vaulted, and a few leaves sat on the beams. Dove spent most of her time here, with good reason.
That night, the dragon cat slept in her bed peacefully. Her leg twitched, then she squirmed. She started thrashing and she pinched her eyes shut. She was sinking deeper, and deeper. She helped and suddenly she was their again.
Dove was on top of an dusty red cliff, blood pooled at her feet, but it wasn't her's. Maimed bodies surrounded her. Some with their limbs missing, some with their eyes gorged out. Some even had their intestines halfway pulled out. A few were dangling from trees, hung by their organs, and some were headless. Horrified, she stepped carefully over to a puddle of water. She had blood dripping from her maw and her eyes were pure black and lifeless.
Back in the real world, she was at the entrance to the woods, screaming and crying.
