“why must this happen to me?” the dusky brown she-cat spluttered as she took shelter under a dense bush. not only was she running away from her dreadful past, but she was now caught in the rain as well. her thick pelt was soaked, slowing her down, as well as giving her horrible chills. curling up into a ball, the she-cat tried to aid herself from a gust of wind.
failing, she let out a shaky breath, deciding that she needed to keep moving, and find a nice place to rest. soon, she hoped, she would arrive at her new home. it was a long shot, she had come to that conclusion long ago, but she needed to hope the cats were friendly.
shivering, she trudged on. she came to a sudden halt, looking at the cat who now stood in front of her. great job brook, she thought. first interaction with a cat here, and you look pathetic. brook took a step closer, tentatively looking up at the cat. "h-hello, i'm brook."

"A-Ah it's.. It's.. Wet.." Tama would murmur, the biting of her bottom lip radiating her concern. People stuck in the rain could find themselves with bad colds, and the deputy didn't want that at all. However, she also figured that she would have to.. Have to lighten up a little - maybe be a little less tense. Thus, she'd manage a small smile, and direct it towards the femme who had stumbled across Neville; Neville, whom Tama was now seated beside.

brook shivered, looking up at the tom. she shifted her weight from one paw to the other, unsure of what to say. water was dripping from her pelt as she looked down at the ground nervously, soon moving her gaze back up to the two cats. "um, well, i'm looking to join?" it came out more as more of a question than she intended it to. she took half a step back, suddenly feeling very pathetic compared to the two cats that stood in front of her.

"Oh!" The serval would blink, lips parting slightly in surprise. Ah, joiners were always quite common but.. Maybe Tama simply wasn't always to assume someone as joining, when they appeared by the border. "Welcome!" She'd give a vivacious chirp, maw laced with a blissful grin. "A-Ah, ask Tama if you need anything!" Though, the deputy would find herself pausing for a moment, the cold touch of rain soaking into her fur causing her to shiver slightly. "B-But first, maybe you should.. A-Ah.. Find shelter of some sort?" Tama didn't want the feline to get drenched, though.. They were all probably already far past that.

Takusi didn't like the rain. Flying in storms was dangerous. She hoped all of her feathered friends had found adequate shelter. Meanwhile, her main flock was sheltering under her wings, hidden from view by the large appendages. She squinted, water dripping from her scales and soaking into the feathers of her ears. "Not good to be out in the rain," she interrupted when she saw the three of them, walking over for once without any sign of anxiety. She often helped travellers into shelters during storms when she was clanless, and she still felt that responsibility tugging at her paws. "Yes, do find shelter. I could help you look." Her dark eyes, which were brought out beautifully by the ring of silver feathers around them, focused on the joiner, a faintly concerned look crossing her face.

Brook smiled greatfully, nodding her head. she had finally come across a group of cats that were friendly. now she just needed to find a dry place to rest. her ears perked up as she heard someone walk in, her eyes widening slightly at the sight. she let out a sigh of relief at her words, eyes fluttering shut briefly. "could you please? I'm not exactly acquainted with this territory." her pelt was sopping at this point, weighing her down and making it harder to stand up, due to her exhaustion.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 500px; text-align: justify;][sub]the gloss on his pelt was apparent as he made his way to the scene, his head high and long legs moving swiftly toward the point of action. Looks like we've got a new joiner, from the looks of it she's in pretty bad shape. Poor doll. the male was more of a thoughtful thing, though at the same time he was often scolded for running his mouth like an excited stallion. upon approach, the male would lower his head to her level and blink those sea green eyes of his, giving a charming chuckle and backing up to smile. "Greetings m'lady, the name's Arthur, you look as if you've been in a storm!" he exaggerated a bit, sitting down and flicking his stubby serval tail. "You also look like you could use a nice cup of tea." #arthywashere #iggylove[/transparent]

Brook looked slightly taken aback by Arthur's words, never having been around someone quite that charming before. she glanced at her paws for a moment, feeling overwhelmed. looking back up at the tom, she regained a bit of her confidence before continuing. "it's very nice to meet you, I'm Brook." she let out a quiet laugh, smiling at him. "yes, I must admit, it's a bit wet out here, and I'd love to join you for some tea, but I need to find a dry place to stay first."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 500px; text-align: justify;][sub]"Oh! A tea lover, then? Excellent, in that case I don't see a problem with you drying off at my little hut and I could make you a cup of tea!" he chuckled, hopping to his feet and grinning from ear to ear. "If that's alright of course, wouldn't want to interrupt you if you had anything planned after this... Oh! And welcome to Blizzardclan." he humored, tail wagging like a gleeful dog. #arthywashere #iggylove[/transparent]

Brook let out an amused sound, clearly happy with having met such friendly cats. "don't mind if I do, I'm rather exhausted after having walked to far. a nice cup of tea and drying off couldn't do any harm." she stretched, legs having cramped from standing and being on edge for so long. "is it far? I don't think my legs could handle much more walking." she let out a happy purr, gaze on the charming tom.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 500px; text-align: justify;][sub]oh, of course there was always a flaw in his thoughts, he hadn't taken it into mind that she was probably very tired, which was silly considering the shape she was in. he should have known. eh. "Oh right, sorry m'lady... I guess I could carry you if you're legs started to hurt more than they do. It's a bit ways away from here, over by the stream so I can catch fish easier." he turned and padded off, turning around to smile. "You coming, ma'dam?" #arthywashere #iggylove[/transparent]

she began to walk after him, replying with a quiet "coming". trotting a bit to catch up to him, she slowed down once they were side by side. she glanced over at him, just then noticing that the rain had stopped. she looked up, a light smile appearing on her face once the clouds began to clear, meaning they would probably make it to his hut before the rain started again.
