  • WhisperClan

    An Original, Long-term Clan

    Brief Bio and History

Being a cat of WhisperClan means you possess many skills as a warrior. This clan dwells in a multi-passage cave that cats must learn to navigate through in the pitch dark with scents confusing them. A clan of silent runners were born here to take control of the caves and use them to their advantage, mapping out the land and where the passages open up onto the surface. If you cant take the dark and confined spaces, this clan will not be the one for you.

  • Hawkpaw blinked sleep from her eyes, light glittering in the cave as she pushed herself into a sitting position. A yawn overtook her mouth and she licked her muzzle, looking around as she trotted into the camp. None of the other cats seemed to be awake yet, so she quietly took a mouse from the fresh kill pile and dragged it to the entrance of the medicine cat den, eating it slowly.

Being an early riser, LynxStar emerged from his moss and feather-lined nest and padded into the main camp area. Padding from the rough stone floor to the soft sand of the cave entrance gave the tom a comforting feeling. The grains stuck to his rough pads and seeped into the crevices of his large paws as he made his way over to the pool of water that separated the cave from the lush forest ahead. Taking a quick few laps of water from the clear pool, the tom lifted his head and wiped away the drops that lingered on his chin. Flexing his claws, the Highlander let the stone floor sharpen his unusual six-clawed claws with swift scraped across the frequently tread on floor. Ears pricked, LynxStar could feel the breeze coming from the multiple tunnels that weaved through the cave. A patrol needs to be set up to check the tunnel that traveled under FeatherClan and the one that was near the NettleClan border he thought to himself, hearing of new scents of cats by the NettleClan borders [/fancypost][align=center]

Her jaws gaped in a yawn, her fangs flashing for a quick moment before they were concealed once again. Taking a few heartbeats to assess her soft pelt, she sat down and started smoothing down the tufts of cream fur that stood out like a kits pelt. [/fancypost][align=center]

  • Ollie paced back and forth on the fence of his twoleg house. The twoleg house he shared with his brother, Josh. Speaking of Josh..he was currently waiting on him. Ollie's tail lashed back and forth with excitement and anticipation. It was common for the two to go on adventures together, or really, Ollie would just drag his brother out on one. Today was just another day, another adventure up ahead of the two brothers, waiting to begin.

Standing, the brutish and well muscled tom stood, stretching his limbs before walking out of the den. Though just a medicine cat, GhostWhisper liked to keep his form up, always practicing his fighting and hunting tactics when he has free time. Beingan ambitious cat, the white-furred tom knew that he couldn't become a weak cat, and being a medicine cat helped him with that, allowing him to know how to help others but keep his former training up to par. Looking up at the sky, he could see the discoloration in the horizon, indicating the arrival of dawn nearing. Always up early, GhostWhisper had a schedule to keep, taking a run in the morning and practice his fighting moves on trees or plant stalks before starting his duties before the clan and HawkPaw began to wake. Today was no different, without a care to think about, the tom took off, black paws pounding on the ground as the large tom took off into the forest. [/fancypost]

Walking out of the darkness of the cave, she reached the sunlight, letting out a long sigh as the rays warmed her cool pelt. The cave was a cold and drafty place with all of the tunnels running though different parts of clan lands and it wasn't unusual for cats to get chills easily. Padding up to LynxStar, she dipped her head to the massive tom and bent down to also take a quick drink from the pool at the line of the forest.[/fancypost]

  • Brackenblaze stepped out of the warriors' den. His eyes gleaming in the sunlight when he walked away from the shelter of the interesting ground covering that helped protect the camp from bad weather or attacks. He padded towards the trees where the sun was shining. He smiled, feeling the warmth on his pelt. "What a great day!" he exclaimed, warming his cooled pelt.

  • Hawkpaw looked up as her mentor rushed past her, but she brushed it off. She stood as she finished off the last pieces of mouse stalking over to the pool. She turned as Brackenblaze appeared from the den and spoke, "It truly is." She murmured, not caring if he had heard. The sun was truly warming, and she felt the urge to go outside. Turning around, she wandered over to Lynxstar, "Good morning. I trust you slept well." She addressed respectfully, "If you wouldn't mind, could I accompany the morning patrol."

  • Josh

Josh turned over on his soft, cushioned bed and felt the sun's rays, warm his well groomed pelt. For a short moment everything was peaceful: the slight tweet of a thrush, the gentle whistle of the wind. In that moment he saw his day of relaxing and bathing in the sun ahead of him. Then with a sudden realization Josh let out an annoyed grunt. His over enthusiastic and excessively optimistic brother Ollie was prancing up and down he fence. Josh sadly rose to his paws, saying goodbye to any hopes of a peaceful day as he trekked outside to his brother.
"What great adventure have you got planed today then?" Josh mumbled making an attempt to sound enthusiastic as he smoothed down the sleek blue-grey fur on his paws.

    FernPaw

FernPaw headed out into the camp looking around at all the cats exchanging tongues before morning patrol. She gazed upwards towards the trees waving above her and the sun slipping around the dense leaves- a sight that never failed to amaze her. Part of her wished she never had to go into the cramp dark tunnels, but she knew she could never let any cat know. She jumped out of her trance springing out of the way of two warriors as they padded past, and decided it was time to get to work. After quickly smoothing down her striped pelt she hurried over to EternalEcho to receive a morning duty.

  • "There you are, lazy!" Ollie joked, happy to see his brother. He aimed a light, playful swat at one of his ears. "I was thinking we could do..more, than what we usually do. We never go too far away from home but, maybe this time we could go..further?" His voice sounded unsure for reasons that he didn't even know of. Maybe he was nervous? Ollie glanced out into the land that stretched beyond the fence. Just the look of it made him feel excited. "Do you think that sounds good?"

  • Josh

No, was Josh's instinctive reply, it did not sound good to go into the strange unknown land away from home, warm and food. After all Josh had heard rumours about savage cats that lived underground in tunnels and fought other cats out of hatred. Of course Josh didn't believe such stories but still he didn't like the sound of it.
Yet something in Ollie's eye made him stop. He looked nervous but behind that he could see his brothers excitement, and Josh didn't have the heart to crush that. "I guess," he replied cheerfully, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, besides what was the worst that could happen. "But stay out of danger! I don't want you getting hurt again, the twolegs took you away for hours last time you hurt your paw trying to climb a tree." Josh felt worry begin to build inside him but he pushed it away it will be good for me to do something more adventurous he told himself sternly and forced himself to return to his enthusiastic voice.
"where do you want to go?"

  • "I won't get hurt! Besides, you'll be with me, so if something did happen..." Ollie's voice trailed off and his sentence ended. Gently, he touched his nose to Josh's shoulder in a comforting, brotherly way before standing back up straight. "Let's go this way!" The lanky tom began and jumped down from the fence, landing on the soft grass beneath his paws. He stopped there, almost as if he was hesitant to move further. They were doing something different this time, going somewhere further. It was still an adventure, though, but it was changed. He pushed the little bit of his fear into the back of his head. This was his idea, he couldn't just back out now. "U-um," Ollie's voice stammered as he tried to decide which path to take. "Over here!" Making his decision, the taller cat darted off into a direction.

His spine curled back, giving the tom a farther reach, though his size gave him a heavy step as his paws landed to the ground. Avoiding bramble thickets and overgrown bushes, BlurredGaze only stopped his vigorous and unending run when he reached the edge of the territory. The scent markers were strong at the border, probably stronger now since a patrol was sent out the night before.
Chest heaving for a full breath, the medicine cat started towards a certain spot near the border, seeking out the bright yellow petals of a marigold patch he had been nursing to until they could grow fully by themselves. He had a few herbs to collect on his mental list, grabbing the marigold first before heading nearer towards the middle of the territory to gather some tansy and dock leaves. [/fancypost]

  • Josh

Josh smiled gratefully after his brother before rushing to catch up. I was great have someone around that understood him so well. He pushed his way through the thick grass still damp with dew which soaked through his thin pelt, but he didn't let it bother him, instead running faster to warm up. Josh felt all his worries slipping away as Ollie's reassuring words filled him with confidence.
Sensing Ollie's unease, he knew it was his turn to offer encouragement, so sprinted ahead before calling back. "Hurry up, a toad could run faster." Josh usually trailed behind his taller and much more athletic brother so basked in his short moment of glory as he twitched his whiskers playfully and ran on. This was the first time he had ever allowed himself the freedom of being carefree, even for just a few hours- it wasn't so bad after all.

  • Ollie watched with shock as his brother sped ahead of him. "Hey, no fair!" came the tom's loud voice, holding mews of laughter in it. "I didn't expect that!" Ollie picked up his pace until he was just a little bit behind Josh. The bell on his orange kittypet colour was ringing madly as he ran, the sound becoming a bit annoying but he managed to eventually not notice it. It was somewhat faint anyways.
As he trailed deeper into the forest, despite the pace he was running, he didn't fail to notice some odd..scents around him. Maybe more animals? The fur on his back stood up at the thought of any danger being around, but he wouldn't show fear. Or at least, he'd try not to. Deciding not to mention it, he skidded to a halt, trying to catch his breath. "W-wow..I--" he stopped mid-sentence to inhale. "I don't think we've ever..been in this area before."

Ears pricked and shoulder fur bristling, GhostWhisper hurried in the direction of the voice he had heard, coming upon Ollie and Jack "You are trespassing on WhisperClan territory. Leave now and we wont have a problem" the medicine cat mewed with a threatening tone. Though a medicine cat, he was just as skilled and tough as the warriors of the clan, and took to trespassers just as they would.
Being larger than the two blue-grey toms, GhostWhisper took a step towards them, his fur lying flat now that he knew it wouldn't be hard to scare them off with a few claws since they were the size of apprentices. [/fancypost]

  • Ollie took one look at the larger tom in front of them, shooting a glance at Josh, a look full of fear. However, the tom stood in front of his brother, looking at the white cat in front of them in the eye before sheepishly casting his glance down. "WhisperClan..we don't know what that is," he began, his voice hardly audible because he was muttering under his breath. He spoke up, looking at the tom in the eye again and trying to hold his gaze the best he could, "We weren't doing any harm! We just got here. Why do we have to l-leave?" He stuttered and trembled, however, tried his best to stay brave.

Blinking, he waited for the moment where the two scurried off back to their twolegs, ears twitching impatiently [/fancypost]

  • Ollie glanced back at Josh again before looking back at the white tom. He flinched when the tom snapped at him, but he tried to stay firm. "..No," he said after a moment of silence. He suppressed a shiver. "We're staying here!" He puffed out his chest in a childish manner, trying to seem brave.
