And just like that, the last bit of stability he'd had left in his life had been ripped away and now he was alone for real this time.
He'd reunited with Miyu, joined up with The Enterprise, and then just like that--Miyu was gone. He heard from the others that he'd held a meeting and stepped down officially before leaving and he missed it. He missed it and he hated himself for it. So he left without saying goodbye. He didn't know a single soul in that clan and he doubted they'd miss him much anyways.
There had been something so...different about that tabby. Something that could evoke such a genuine happiness within him even during his darkest moments. Like when he visited him shortly after Geo's death and was instantly rejuvenated simply by being in the presence of the other tom. He wrestled with silly feelings over that guy for moons. How cheesey.
But that chapter in his life was over now it seemed, and it was time to start a new life. He'd told himself this a couple of times since leaving the Church but this time he really meant it. Technically he didn't have a choice seeing as everyone he'd ever known was either dead or gone. Jesus, he was an unlucky guy. Maybe this was God's punishment for that one time he'd killed a guy in cold blood. He was finally starting to regret that.
So Dallas arrived on the edge of Eden; the only place besides the Church and The Enterprise that he was at least somewhat familiar with. Hopefully he could settle down here for good.
[/fancypost]
