  • OOC: You can just pop in however you like :3

IC: Arden nodded with an amused smirk on her face. "Uh-huh. Got a problem?" She inquired sarcastically as she entered, shutting the door gently behind her. She had only recently met Peridot so it figured the small gem wouldn't be too fond of her. The explanation she had been given for Peridot's arrival only made her all the more curious about the whole 'gem' situation. Being wary of whatever Peri was working on, she carefully made her way around the gem to set her notebook on the counter. "So, uh, where are the others?" She asked, trying not to sound too disappointed that they didn't seem to be around.

  • The sound of a vehicle could be heard outside the house. Of course, it was Greg's van! Greg unbuckled his seatbelt and hopped out of the van. His flip-flops collected sand under his feet as he walked on the beach towards the stairs.

"Oh, all this darn sand is gonna trip me!" He exclaimed. He slowly ascended the stairs, panting harder with each step. Finally, he made it to the top, letting out a big sigh. "Phew, that is the best workout I've had in a long time." He panted. Greg walked through the front door, slightly surprised to see Peridot and the new girl--Arden, if he remembered correctly--in the house.

"Oh, hey you guys, seen Steven around anywhere? I was hoping to catch him before he went on any missions."

  • "How is a gem suppose to get any sleep around here with all this noise" the sapphire gem exclaimed.Max was 'taking a nap' under a pile of pillows he had created. He was the new addition to the Crystal Gems after he was found rescuing a few humans from a corrupt gem that was rampaging.Though he knew gem didn't need sleep,he still did like to

  • Arden put on a polite smile and turned to face Greg. "Sorry, Mister Universe. Looks like both missed him." She replied, holding back a sigh. Steven wasn't around, so naturally neither were the ones she really wanted to talk to. She could ask Peridot some questions, but there was no guarantee she would get an answer. At Max's voice she jumped, glancing at the pile of pillows that she hadn't noticed when she walked in. There's another one?! She thought with childish glee. Her smile grew wider at the thought of him, though she refrained from running up to him and bombarding him with questions intead. That would be rude.

  • Steven was in his room, playing video games.

    (Low muse for Steven... xD)

Amethyst was in her room, looking for something.

(Must I have muse THIS low? Oh please, I know I could do better than this!)

  • OOC: Do never give up bro. I believe at you. (Kudos if you know where that's from xD)

IC: Retrieving her book from the countertop, Arden began browsing the questions that had been answered. Basically that meant she stared at all the blank pages in frustration, imagining what the answers might be.

  • Peridot just rolls her eyes.Completely uninterested by anything that was going on. "Crusty clumpy clods.." She grumbled irritably as she sat back down on the floor with the screwdriver and the..whatever she was messing with.

  • The hybrid gem was very unnoticeable, despite how loud the game was.

Meanwhile, the Amethyst just kept searching around for whatever she could find.

  • With the expression of someone giving up, Arden stalked over to the couch and flopped down. Passing all the pages with notes on them, the teen began doodling smiley faces all over the first blank page to make herself fewl better about her utter failure.

  • Peridot was done tinkering for now.She clasped the small object in her left palm and rose to her feet. She scuttled across the floor and over behind the couch. Her eyes train on Arden doodling with her pencil. The green gem blinks and points to the writing utensil. "Is that a weapon?"

  • Arden jumped slightly at the tiny gem's sudden appearance. In response to her question, she studied the pencil in her hand carefully. "Er... I guess if it was sharper, it could be. But I'd never use it as one." She answered, ignoring just how odd the inquiry really was. She set her entertainment aside for a moment, sitting on her knees to turn to Peridot. "You don't have to sit there, y'know. Why don't you sit next to me? I promise I won't bite." The brunette flashed a tiny smile, hoping maybe she could manage to make friends.

  • Max popped out from the pile, frustrated and abit grouchy at all noise around him.He wondered if there was anywhere else to 'take his nap'.He of course didn't have his own room like the other gems and didn't really want to leave the temple so he guessed he would take his 'nap' later, especially since Steven game was loud.He then thought about something to do so he wouldn't get bored

  • The game would still be loud unless it was at zero. But there was a secret ending.

"Ooh! Secret ending!" Steven chirped, as the game began playing it's ending. The ending was louder than the gameplay.

"What? You restored all sound! You're a hero!" a character on the game spoke, "Earl, you did it!"

"'Was just doing what I had to do!" a tall character spoke, who's name was apparently Earl.

Steven could not take his eyes away from the television.

OOC: (Did you have to restore all sound? There was already enough sound while playing!!! And, WHO DESIGNED THIS GAME?)

  • "Uhm.Okay." Peridot looked very skeptical of the gem's request, as if suspecting Arden to trick her somehow. She, with much effort, pulls herself up over the back of the couch and rolls down the side beside Arden. Her eyes look up at her quizzically once she was seated."What now?" All of these weird earth customs were new to the green gem.

  • Arden returned to her original position tapping her chin with a finger as she pondered the small gem's question. "Well, I was told you come from.... 'Homeworld'. Mind telling me what that is?" The teen was nearly ecstatic that she was right next to one of these 'gems'. Sure, she had stood around them before, but she had never sat casually on the couch with one. Not to mention she found Peridot somewhat adorable. Attempting to keep composed, though, she flipped through her pages until she landed on one with the same question written down.

  • Peridot didn't hesitate to chirp an answer. "Not much to tell other than it's the original home planet for all of us gems." She taps her chin and looks at the ceiling."It's very efficient and sophisticated. Elloborate warps are stationed throughout the planet; it makes it very easy to get around. It's quite wonderful." She sounded excited at the mention of, not necessarily HomeWorld, but the technology. "Gem-tech has advanced astoundingly over the past 6,000 years. For example, there are now Gem Warships. As well as Gem Stabilizers." Her green eyes brightened to a tint that was rarely seen in the grumpy little gem."And the laser enhancements?Amazing what you can accomplish in a mere 6,000-year-hatred-driven rage against the Crystal Gems."

  • Arden nodded in fascination, jotting down some of the information in point-form. "I see. That's very interesting. By the sounds of it you're a techie, then? Did you have a big hand in developing any of the Gem Tech?" Deciding to stay on a topic Peridot seemed interested in, she flipped to a blank page and wrote down Peri-centered questions to ask the mini-gem.

  • "I did actually." Peridot seemed to beam in a sudden wave of pride. "I was in charge of managing data and writing reports of other gem's work.Kind of like a supervisor of sorts. And of course I did a bit of piloting and fixing broken vessels." She blinks back at Arden and puts her small hands in her own lap. "Not a lot of field work other than that; until I came to earth to repair the broken HomeWorld warp.Which I was going to use to check on the Cluster. That is, of course, until the Crystal Clods broke it."

  • "Impressive..." Arden mused, giving a sideways smirk when Peridot looked her way. "You are one astounding gem." She complimented, setting her book down for a short while. Sensing a slight change in the mood, she only continued to smile. "Well Earth life isn't so bad. You haven't been living here too long, I take it? That would mean there's so much for you to discover and enjoy. If you want, I could even bring some books by sometime and teach you some things." She offered. Her main goal was to learn more about gems, but helping Peridot learn more about this new world could be just as good.
