[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; color: COLOR; line-height: 100%; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify;]ic; Her head hurt. Squeezing her eyes shut, Roxy stepped up to the meeting area and fought the urge to massage her temples. Lately her migraines had been getting worse and worse. She constantly felt the voice in her head trying to find an opening in her mind, to push through, to get to her. It insisted it wanted only to talk, from when it did push past the static that kept it out. But of course Roxy didn't believe it.
She sighed, watching the crowd grow while she waited. Can't... let them down anymore. Right? Shit... just do it. Get it over with. A minute passed, then two. This was the biggest crowd she was getting, it seemed.
"Oh... shit, hey," she greeted somewhat quietly. Roxy cleared her voice and blinked a few times. God, having Jasper here would be nice. Or Gavin, or Ryan, or anyone, really. She felt so exposed up there. "Hey. Okay. So for my, uh, deputy contest thingy! Um." She frowned, looking for what she would say next. Even speaking was a challenge with the constant mental battle she fought. "I've... made some... adjustments? So. I'm... I'm stepping down, uh, I can't, I can't do this anymore. It's not you, it's... fuck, that sounds like I'm breaking up with you all, holy shit," she stammered nervously, drawing a paw through her fur. "Point is I don't... I haven't been... uh... feeling well. Let's... put it that way. I can't lead and I never really could? So. There's that. I'm sorry." She let that sink in, fidgeting all the while. "Now. The leader I've chosen in my stead is- is Jasper, if he accepts. I'm... I'm sorry I'm dropping this shit on you. Promoted to deputy underneath him is Gavin."
The now ex-leader clutched her hummingbird totem and hopped off her perch, eager to beat feet out of there. "That's it, uh, no- no- no more announcements."[/fancypost]
