    Maxine gave him a sharp look and forceful kick to the chest, not meaning to hurt him, just to knock the wind out of him and knock him over. She gracefully caught her case files with one hand and pinned him to the floor with the other. "Don't doubt me." She told him.
    There was a knock a the door. Maxine kissed Sherlock's forehead before leaping to her feet and plopping the case files on his chest. She opened the door. Shale was standing in the doorway. "Hey Max-" Maxine didn't let him finish his whole sentence. She slammed the door closed and looked over at Sherlock and John with wide eyes.[/fancypost]
