"I'm alright, mummy, really I am." Matty assures her, hugging her.
"Cake? My favourite!" Matty says, smiling. "Much better than hospital food, eh Matty?" John teases, Matty nodding.

"Stop worrying, Maxine." Sherlock pulled her into a hug, laying his coat around her. "You alright, you're sweating. Sit down, I think you're having a panic attack." He guided her to the sofa, sitting her down. Mrs. Hudson quickly brought her a glass of water. Maxine was starting to hyperventilate, near tears.
"Don't crowd her, Sherlock." Mrs. Hudson warned. She hugged Matty to her.
"Nobody crowd her." John warns, going up to her. "Alright Max, breathe in and out slowly and focus on me." He instructs. "Count up to ten slowly, then count back down until you begin to calm down."
Matty squirms in Mrs. Hudson's arms, trying to get to Max.
Something that happens to me all the time that I know how to calm down from, relatable.
Maxine leaned against John, closing her eyes. She sniffled, burying her face into John's neck.
Mrs. Hudson held Matty gently.
"It's alright Max, everything will be alright." John whispers gently, hugging her. Matty watches them, confused about the situation.
Maxine held out her arms to Matty and Mrs. Hudson let him go. Maxine wrapped him in a gentle hug, rubbing his back. "It's okay..."
Matty hugs her, Looking at her. "Are you alright mummy?" He asks softly, looking concerned.
Maxine nodded. "I'll be fine." She assured him.
Matty nods, looking at up at her. He yawns softly, resting his head on her chest. John smiles softly.
"I think someone is ready for bed." He murmurs softly, watching Matty.
Maxine lifted Matty into her lap. "You wanna stay with me tonight?" She asked, stroking his hair. Sherlock glanced at Matty, then to John.
Matty looked slowly at Sherlock before looking back at Maxine. "Yes mummy, if you don't mind." Matty mumbles softly, closing his eyes. John glanced at Sherlock, waiting silently for his reaction.
Maxine kissed his head, lifting him up in her arms. She gently kissed John's cheek before she took Matty up to bed. Sherlock looked dejected.
John walks over to Sherlock, pulling him gently into his arms. "She needs him right now, love. Matty still needs and loves you." He says softly. "Right now being with Matty is the best thing for her."
Sherlock rested his chin on John's shoulder. "What's her problem? I had a worse day." Sherlock grumbled, hugging John gently.
"In due time, in due time." John answers, leaving it at that. "You can spend the day with him tomorrow. I know he'll like that."
Viper cuddled himself in between Sherlock and John, determined not to let himself be forgotten. "You have me..." Viper offered, blinking a few times.
Sherlock huffed. "You aren't Matty, now are you?"
Viper looked away, flinching at his words. "I guess not..."
"Easy Sherlock." John murmurs, throwing Viper an apologetic look. "You can be with him tomorrow, just let Max have him for tonight. Besides if he has a nightmare, he'll come to you." John assures him softly. "You're still his favourite person and he loves you dearly."
Sherlock sighed, wrapping his arms around Viper. "Go take your pills." He mumbled, pushing Viper away. Viper trotted off, fixing his glasses on his face.
"Are you going to be alright Sherlock?" John asks him, slightly concerned.
Sherlock looked at him. "I'm fine." He answered, stroking John's head.
