I grinned at Demetri as I kissed his cheek."It's so adorable how excited you get over teaching your son how to hunt, but I don't want him hunting until he is four. I know this is important to you, but I don't want him killing until he is 13. We need to teach him the difference before hunting and murder. He can't just go kill people whenever he feels like it and he needs to know that just because he can do something, doesn't mean he should do it. Promise that you won't let him kill until then and that he can't kill for sport."I said softly as I looked down at my son."People think you guys are monsters, but your not. he shook his head,"four but he could so do it at two!" he complained like a child so not like his normal personality. he pouted for a moment before shaking his head. "we are monsters though, that can't be changed its who we are, we may not act like so called 'monsters' but we still are," he said using his finger with his free hand to make quotes when he said monsters. "he's going to kill one day, maybe its his first hunt or his second maybe tenth or his millionth hunt, we've all killed during feeding, its only natural," he said with a shrug looking down at niklaus before looking up at her. "right now were able to control it cause were feeding him though a bottle, but he drinks the whole bottle each time, a human is like a bottle as well, hell drink it dry if he's not careful, yesterday was the first time I've killed in the past decade but before that i killed every time i feed and i feed often," he told her wanting her to understand.

I rolled my eyes."He's not hunting before he's even toilet trained."I told him with a soft smile before I looked down at my feet."I'm just asking you to teach him that killing people isn't right. I know that you killed someone, but that was different. I don't want him to think that it's okay to kill."I said softly as I looked at Nicklaus, who had his father's hand in his tiny ones and was holding it close to his chest as it gnawed on one of his fingers."You are not a monster, not to me."I added as I kissed both of them on the cheek.

He gave her a nod,"I'll teach him that but remember hell age quickly so he might be four when really he's only two," he pointed out he wanted her to know that this would all be different then normal child. He would be smarter and more mature then everyone his age.

I laughed and gently flicked his forehead."Fine, when he is mentally and physically looks four."I compromised as I looked down at our son with a chuckle."Demetri, if something happens to me then I give you permission to do whatever you have to do to save me. I want to be with him, someone needs to teach him that he's also half human."I said softly, looking at Nicklaus with loving eyes.

He huffed as she flicked him though smiled back at her. His eyebrow raised when she stated what she wanted. "Are you sure... You might be different from what you are now... A new vampire is worse then a baby, you'd have to learn how to control yourself and learn your emotions all over again," he reminded her but he would do it. He already decided that a while ago even if she'd hate him for changing her he would still do it

I'll try my hardest to get back to my old self and then the three of us could always be a family."I said with a smile before I pressed a kiss to his lips then pulled away."Now, go spend some time with your son. I need to get dinner ready and don't worry, I'll make sure that your meat is extra rare."I said with a smirk as I watched Nicklaus get bored with Demetri's hand and begin to get whiney."Have fun, he's in a mood."I chuckled playfully.

he rolled his eyes as she spoke, his eyes going to her lips he wanted to kiss her again, its been a while since he thought like that but lately he's been wanting to kiss her more and more. he shook the thought away and nodded to piper. "alright, call me when dinners ready," he said going over to the living room and sitting down on the couch. the tv and xbox already set up from the movers he put niklaus in-between his legs and started to play Call of duty, letting niklaus hands rest on his thumbs so it was like he was playing too

I nodded as I watched him walk out of the kitchen. He was a good dad, even if he didn't believe it himself. Meanwhile, Nicklaus was perfectly happy watching his father's hands move across the controller. It wasn't until he heard the loud noises and looked up at the screen that he began to cry loudly. I could hear the baby crying but I figured that I would let Demetri deal with him for now. He needed to get use to the baby crying like that since this wouldn't be the last time he cried.

he jumped when the baby started to cry. he didnt expect that at all, "sh!t don't cry niklaus," he said as he paused the game and held him trying to make him stop crying. "piper how do i stop this?!" he called out completely confused, he wasn't sure how to stop a baby from crying, it was like something he couldnt even think about. "look its just zombies, nothing scary you can beat any zombie your a vampire, shhh stop crying," he said trying to rock him to calm him down so confused and struggling.

I sighed and walked over to Demetri and Nicklaus."He's still a baby, it doesn't matter if he is a vampire. You just need to show him that you'll protect him. He isn't like you, he isn't fearless."I told Demetri as I leaned down and kissed his forehead."Who do you think he is going to call for when he is scared? He'll call for you."I said with a soft smile before I left to go back to cooking.

he pouted, "fine fine," he mumbled turning off the tv and rocking Niklaus, "shhh its okay," he whispered holding him close. he tried to think back to the days when he was human, back in russia there was a lullaby that was sang to him, it took him a moment before he remembered it and started to sing it. the song sounded sweet and innocent but the lullaby was actually very scary. the english would be something like

The baby looked up at his father as he sang, he stopped crying and reached up with a small gurgle as he placed his tiny hand on Demetri's cheek. I watched them from the doorway. Nicklaus's eyes were more human than vampire, they were identical to mine and shone with a timid nature like mine did. I walked over and kissed the top of Demetri's head."He has human emotions, I look into his eyes and they are different from yours but also different from mine."I muttered.

He looked over at at when she spoke he didn't realize she was watching. Now he was embarrassed that she hear him sing that silly song. He sighed and nodded,"yeah I guess he might, but he didn't get the eyes you wanted," he teased smiling at her knowing she now didn't care, that Niklaus was perfect. "He's a good kid either way doesn't cry too much," he disc glad about that as he continued to rock him

I sighed."I'm twenty right now, let's talk about it in four years..."I told him softly as I looked down at Nicklaus before kissing the baby's cheek."No, I think he will grow up to be amazing..."I muttered softly as I looked back at Demetri."Anyway, do you really wanna be tied down to one girl for the rest of your eternity?"I asked him as I stood then started walking back towards the kitchen."I'm making the sides then it will be ready."I called back with a grin.

he understood that she wanted to wait, so he'd agree for now. when she spoke about them being together for so long, he thought for a moment as she went to the kitchen to finish. no he didnt want to be tied down to one girl for the rest of his undead life, but with piper, it would be okay. she wasn't crazy, or clingy, or nagging at him all the time, she was actually very good. what demetri was think is if he had to spend the rest of his life with someone it would be her. he placed Niklaus into a little seat were babes sat, and went into the kitchen going up behind her his hands going on her hips and pulling her close to him so her back was touching his front. "i won't mind, question is would you be able to spend it with me?" he said barely over a whisper, he had leaned down so his voice was next to her ear before kissing her neck where he would have feed off of her or turned her, light gentle kissing down her neck

he smiled at her comment, "you're very back at reading the mood Piper," he said pulling her close to him, his arms going around her waist as he lifted her up and placed her on the counter, standing between her legs.
