[fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 450px; padding: 0px; font-size: 10px; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify]as they most likely will turn up often in isena's posts i thought it might be a good idea to set up a thread to explain my version of the messengers, set so they would be usable here. anyone is free to use this version if you wish, they act as they do in bloodborne as messengers, carrying notes between people and clans, though they can also fight, but they aren't all that strong and very few can wield powers beyond the sight
physical description
though not set to only them most messengers are feline in origin, most ending up as undersized domestic felines, though any small species of animal can, and on occasion will, be a messenger. small and skeletal in appearance, skin is pressed against the bones even when well fed, they have only a thin coat of fur, more a fuzz, usually white or blond in colour, their skin is quite pale and waxy, easily burned or marked. they have no eyes, instead only empty sockets, but their hearing is rather good
necessary items - undead pelt
sounds/communication
unable to speak as any other creature can they commune with each other through grunts, moan, clicks, mewls, growls, hisses, and so on, though very rarely can another understand this language, their thoughts are also hard to read as they are often a jumble, making communication between a messenger and one that is not of their kind hard, though they can use body language to convey basic messages
the sight
as their only way to get around properly all messengers have the sight, this allowing them to view the aura of any living creature which allows them a limited range of 'sight', this combined with their other señses meaning they can move around freely with little difficulty, though they still run the risk of running into people
purpose
as their name implies they are messengers, meant to carry messages between people over any distance, usually in the form of a note though the message can also be conveyed by telepathic means or by memory, the message implanted in the brain of the messenger that can be accessed by another with telepathic abilities or else a false memory can be implanted, usually of the sender saying the message themself. there are other ways but these are the most common, and easiest, to use, they can also be kept as companions or pets
