[fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] A stark white thing sat motionless in the shadows. It appeared, at first glance, to be an eel-like humanoid twisted in a grotesque position. This thing had an eerie grin on its face. Its eyes were glossy and round (some sort of blue color as well), which appeared to stare at nothing. If you listened carefully, one could pick up on the creature's bated, raspy breaths. Every so often, it would mumble something. Its birdlike voice only quietly parroted the dying pleas of the human youth it had devoured at sunrise. It held no meaning to the noises it made.
Hungry. The creature was hungry. Its perpetual hunger was greater than anything imaginable. The Synx dismissed this as much as possible, the demented creature knowing that it had to conserve energy. Conserve energy and wait, watch, stalk. After this, it would get its reward. Its prey. This was how it went for the Synx, and it had grown completely accustomed to it.
Wait. The alien waited very patiently, its seemingly dead eyes catching every single detail. It analyzed everything with the precision and cunning of a serial killer. That meaningless grin, consonantly plastered on its face. Its twisted face. The twisted face with the jaws which brought so much agony unto its prey. The twisted face that was the last thing one would see before being torn apart by the creatures unforgiving claws and teeth.

Minutes turned to hours and yet the Synx remained motionless.

OOC - I thought that this might be the best place to bring this lil devil. It's really only interested in itself, and its own self preservation. I guess it can be trained and things, but only by a cruel creature that it obviously cannot consume.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt](Ooh, it seems like a very interesting creature! I'm unsure if Americanmadness here could train it, but perhaps it's a worth of trying? c: Also please do excuse my mega muse.)

Meanwhile the bulky, tall-looking wolf has been exploring the territory. It was new to his eyes and apparently his far past self hadn't explored this place yet unlike the other one before for himself to make the place recognizable for him. Although for sure his past self wouldn't dare to explore either territory anyway. Yet the male couldn't blame his past self for his timid act and the fear of whatever that could be bad had happen to him. Americanmadness stopped what he was doing when he felt something... off... It wasn't the cool breezes that would whisper to his twitching ears, seeing the shadows of the lost ones in the corner of his eyes or the calls of the flying birds that was going somewhere warmer, but then he could smell the death and blood linger in the air. As if someone just recently committed a murder. Murder. Frowning, the wolf silently as he could, dashed directly towards where he could tell the source from of the death and blood and by the time he arrived, before him, he could see the back of... What the hell was that? His eyes widened with his mind registering its appearance and stared at it. There was no fear or uneasiness in his eyes though, surprisingly. More was there... interest. Curiosity. The urge to know more about this rare-like creature. He was a reckless child-like guy and always wouldn't he regret the decision he would make without thinking the consequences behind the choice. There was million of ways of him to die, and this could be one of them. He would be lying if he said that he would fear over death. "Hey big guy," gently called out the black furred male as to get its attention rather than scaring it if he simply walked over to it. He would admit,he wouldn't want to make it angry and whatnot as he tried to make himself look friendly towards the the unusual creature as he didn't seem like those "normal" ones he would meet when trespassing.

Without hesitation did Amerianmadness took few more steps closer to it with his head held high and his soft gaze glued to it, amazed at how its' structure looked that close by the time he managed to take a last step beside him and saw a dead prey before noticing the figure of the unknown creature was still with that meaningless, Cheshire's grin. Like if it was a statue. Crazy person he was, he knew. He had done whacky shits in the past and who could tell Americanmadness that this was enough to be that crazy of him to do? "how's the food you got yourself? Bet it taste yummy as hell, no?" To what he was seeing, it looked like it has been starving for weeks, more than it would wanted to eat an entire horse to fill its' scrawny-like stomach to show how much it had been in a full desire to eat. To eat something. Americanmadness hoped the other guys wouldn't try to make it pissed off, unlike for himself who was indeed trying to make it view him as a nice guy and totally not a dessert. Sure it was a trespasser and he had to do something as to tell it to back off and all of that shit, yet something about this creature made him wanted to treat it with respect and if it was a clanmate of his own. He didn't know why, but perhaps its' way of living and such was the main reason. Probably and there was no way would he want it to go and even left with a dead Bloodclanner or so. Not just yet.

[fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] Food. That was its first thought when it smelled the approaching canid. When the wolf came into sight, however, the Synx's thought changed. Danger. The canine was big and strong compared to the relatively frail alien. After a mere second, the predator had picked up on every detail of this wolf; the way he walked, the way he reacted to light, how quickly he reacted to spotting the creature. Everything. This is why its species had wrought absolute devastation over the cosmos, despite their lack of brute strength. When the stranger approached, the creature's breaths faltered for a short moment. Regardless of its fear, it remained motionless. The only sign that the Synx was even aware of Americanmadness was the quiet yet high pitched growl rising in its throat. It increased volume for every step the stranger took toward the twisted beast.

Words. Noise. All at once, the wave of it washed over the Synx. It responded to the voice with its own. It raised its head and contorted itself into yet another strange position, letting out loud avian-like squawks. After a short moment, it settled down. The creature's emotionless eyes staring down at Americanmadness. The beast knew that the male wolf meant no harm, in fact, it was being kind. Kind? Not a thing that the alien prioritized. It approached him sluggishly, timidly, its limbs twisting and contorting as it moved. It brought its face an inch from the wolf's. Drool dripped from its ever-grinning maw and the rancid smell of death emanated from it. Oh how it wanted to eat the canine. It was so hungry. Hungry. The Synx had to force itself not to strike right away. No, no. This one was strong.
It had lost track of time, minutes passed and the devilish creature's blank gaze still locked with the stranger's.

"American, what the hell is that thing?!" came the sharp roar of Merle, racing towards the pair with a glint in his pale blue eyes. His ivory claws were unsheathed, and though the unfamiliar creature was larger than him, he wouldn't let it harm his clanmates. Black lips curling back in a snarl, the three-pawed tiger would appear beside the canine, claws digging into the sand as he glared up at Synx, eyes narrowed dangerously. "Who the hell are you? If ya' ain't joining, get the hell out."

The femme made to remark towards the newcomer appearance, her brow furrowed over her optics as they darted back and forth, studying the newcomer. He certainly confused her; he didn't scare her, just confused her. He reminded her of a demon- particularly one from the home of her father, one that she thought she'd never be involved with again. And, yes, this wasn't that exact demon, but it certainly reminded her of him.
Penelope closed her eyes for a few seconds and let a high-pitched sigh emanate from her lips, keeping them closed for a few more tender seconds before she snapped her optics open and offered Synx an undeniably artificial smile.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] A twisted shriek erupted from the creature's chest. It reared up, twisting, and stomach acid rising in its throat. This was instinctual, how it sprays its enemies in its vile and acidic insides. The creature's voice was birdlike as well as childlike, making its high pitched screams eerie and hard to listen to. It lashed its thick tail, sending another round of acid raining onto the cold ground. It was sent into a craze, which lead it to hastily climb the nearest tree. It wrapped its eel-like body around it. Acid and drool dripped from its permanent grin, and the beast stared down at the two strangers.

Danger. This was danger. Huger gnawed at its mind and body, yet the Synx had other things to worry about at the moment. The danger, the predators. It had to kill. Kill. The wolf had distracted it, and it would not make that mistake again. Its disturbing voice raved meaningless, confused nonsense as it waited. The creature's hearts pumping the black sludge that was its blood rapidly though its grotesque body.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt]He stood his current position very still with calmness as he allowed it to observe it or whatever. As long as it didn't actually try to bite him, he was cool with whatever it was doing to him. He didn't flinch at the noises of its' own kind was creating. Americanmadness was unsure if it was meant to be a warning as he was daring himself together closer to it. What was surprising to him though was it didn't respond to him. Well, it did but no words was coming out of its' mouth. Just the squawks and that was it. Perhaps it was a creature who wasn't familiar with a language of speaking English and whatnot. Perhaps its' specie has their own language that Americanmadness couldn't understand for himself. But what does it speak? Could it even speak through the squawking sounds? Many questions were bubbling inside of his head as indeed was the wolf highly interested to know more information about this alien-like stranger. Yet it wasn't the time for him to question himself and guessed an answer for it. He had to get this over with before anyone else would make a possibly stupid choice right now. "...Not a talkative one, huh?" quietly said Americanmadness towards the stranger, trying his best not to back away from its' horrific smell of death coming from its' mouth as he was still staying motionless with the words coming into the audible.

He was about to speak again to reassure the creature that everything was going to be alright as anyway, only then he heard half of his name called from - 'Oh fucking no.' Ohhh, why now? Things just happened out of sudden to his eyes when he saw the three pawed tiger with his claws unsheathed and spotting the female nearby, instead of answering Merle's question, he let out a small shout through his gritted teeth as its high pitched scream went straight to his ears and watched it claim to the closest tree ahead. Oh no, oh no, oh no. "Whoa, whoa, dude, chill! Not as in Netflix and chill thing, ewe, don't. But it isn't the usual trespassers we would see everyday... I don't think it's a good idea to try to make it angry... I also don't think it even knows what we're saying. Let alone it knowing anything with the whole trespassing thing." 'If it did know, for sure it would be that smart enough to trespass our territory. It was probably naive enough to understand our clan style.' added Americanmadness silently to his head. "I... Let me take care of this, okay? I know what to do and I'm sure as hell that everything was just fine until you shown up with your hostile, Gramps. Trust me." In the end did Americanmadness' narrowed his eyes with an aggressive tone in the end at his sentence before he would turn himself over to look at the creature with his eyes filled with pleads and desperation as to tell it that it wasn't what it would think it was.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] It bobbed its head, letting out a series of strange clicking sounds. It shifted its gaze onto the others. It was smart, but its brain did not seem to be wired to understand verbal communication. It also seemed to only be developing its understanding of emotion. What it did know, however, was that it was not getting down from that tree. The tree is safe, the ground is danger. The predators were danger. The alien beast did not want to engage with danger. It always preyed on the weak, sometimes even stalking them, observing them, for weeks before it attacks. The Synx was not looking to fight.

The creature latched on tighter to the branch, its cold gaze flitting from one stranger to the next. Its clicks soon faded and it was silent. Silent enough for its quick, raspy breaths to be heard. It was visibly shaking from its hunger, but that is to be expected for a Synx. At least it wasn't screaming.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt]As it didn't seem to react to his body language, once more does he took few steps closer to the tree and lowered his head as he gently bit the lower lip at the strange clicking noises it was making at the moment. Now what does that supposed to mean? Poor... guy. Ah, he doesn't know, but he was positive that the term "thing" wasn't really nice to describe someone. Like was Merle was calling it a thing as if it was an object or something. He honesty wouldn't like it if someone called him a thing. But anyway, just looking at it made him feel sorry for it. It was probably scared. Confused. Unaware on what was going on in the "normal" ones' perspective. It was a surprise though that wasn't it even bother to attack them now that he realized it. Only it was there... Just there at the tree branch. "H-hey... Big guy, it's okay." Even though he knew that the humanoid creature wouldn't know what he was saying, not a single word from him, but he was at least trying to get its' attention. Only on him, hopefully. He became aware at how it was beginning to shake as it no longer was making the same sounds anymore, remaining silent then.

Americanmadness frowned. He was frustrated that he doesn't know how to deal with this. Especially after Merle had to ruin it. But he couldn't blame him. Whatever this alien was does seemed like a huge threat to them, especially it was trespassing. But what if they were the biggest threat to it? Clearly it was outnumbered by them and despite how large and intelligent-looking this beast was, it was more likely that it doesn't meant to be harm to them now, was it? "It's okay..." softly repeated the black furred male. He held on to his breath and he took a seat close to the tree the white creature was and like before, he remained still with his soft gaze only glued to it afterwards. It was starting to annoy to him to see it continuing on with the shaking. Like what was the reason behind it for it to be shaking? In the corner of his eyes, Americanmadness spotted a dead prey close to where he was and sniffled. Was it hungry? The prey was still fresh and it hasn't been eaten just yet after it caught it. Possibly... Narrowing his eyes, he glanced slowly at the creature and in a quick motion, Americanmadness took the prey before he would place it in front of him and was simply there, staring at it like if he was a statue. That was it.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] At first it was weary. Very weary, but it was not afraid of Americanmadness. It was just... Unsure of what to do. The acts of kindness genuinely confused it. It thought like a primitive-minded predator when it came to concepts like empathy or mercy. The Synx were a huge threat for this reason. They were intelligent, almost like a human, but there was nothing human about them. The Synx, as a species, was also very parasitic. Meaning that it would usually find a bigger creature and burrow into it, taking most of its food intake, leaving it do die slowly of malnutrition. However, when a Synx does not have a host, it will feed on young and weak creatures. The Synx were lovely creatures.
The beast thought for a second, responded to the wolf's gentle words with soft whistles. It was already interested, but when food came into the picture, the stranger had its complete attention. The beast knew what Americanmadness wanted it to do, so it did it. The Synx carefully crawled off of the tree, its already strange anatomy even stranger as its whole body twisted around. When the creature reached the ground, it was just an odd heap of unrecognizable appendages. However painful it looked, the Synx was built for this.
After a short moment, the seemingly sluggish alien leapt onto the dead prey animal. Its tongue-like thing rose from its throat, coming out of its mouth like a strange fleshy jellyfish which proceeded to grab up the prey animal and drag it whole into the Synx's open maw. After this gruesome process was over, it rose its head to look directly at the canine. It waited patiently for further instruction or communication.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify].. What?

It wouldn't be surprising if she somehow managed to ruin this process, as well. Being the defensive and stubborn female she was, this whole sight had an impulse throbbing in her veins, burning.

    "Why did you feed it?"

The question was asked simply as the fawn colored wolf approached, baby blue eyes momentarily flickering towards the Synx, cautious. "I don't know what it is, but it's trespassing either way." She wasn't being all that careful with her word choice or tone, but seeing as the creature didn't seem to understand, the leader figured she'd be fine. There was this overwhelming urge to attack crawling up on her, but she was wary, and she was concerned that maybe the Synx would feel like attacking back. Sola couldn't deal with that right now, and so she lingered, her overprotective nature the main reason for her staying.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=Transparent; border: 0px; width: 400px; margin-center: -5px; text-align: justify;]☆— [size=10px] Oh it was hungry. Just the taste of blood made it even hungrier. The Synx let out another series of whistles and clicks as another stranger approached. Its emotionless blue eyes analyzing everything about the female wolf. It picked up on her body language, where her eyes went, how she held herself as she walked. The Synx found her to be no immediate threat. Food, however, was a possibility. Maybe. It approached the leader slowly, its body contorting as it dragged itself across the ground. It needed a closer look. A quiet hiss rose from its chest. The overwhelming scent of death emanated from the beast's mouth as breathed raggedly. It was only a few feet away when it gave her an inquisitive look.
