  • "But sweetheart, that's in the past now! All I want is for you to love me back; I only want what's best for you and-" "Give it a rest, old man," Soul interrupted rudely. "Can't you see that she doesn't want to be near you?" "I can still expel you," Spirit shouted. "Like you could expel the coolest student here," Soul smirked, looking away. "Besides, a meister can't fight without her weapon, and where could you possibly find another, much less better partner for her?" Spirit's face was red, and he growled, "We'll continue this later," before turning to thr class. "Please pair up with your partner and just practice transforming and handling for now."

Hana sweatdropped. "Is it always like this in here...?"

  • Maka nodded at what Soul said, her expression showing only anger and 'Just tell him Soul, like that!'. She didn't look too mindful that she was currently in class, like Soul nor Spirit were. Once Spirit said they should start training, Maka turned at Soul and said. "Let's stay here if they need any help or advice, right?" She tilted her head to the side, smiling at Soul in a heartwarming way, her right pigtail swinging right and left.

Ryumaru was somewhere around the room, found having curled into a ball in a corner, muttering lowly. "T-This is too much as a mental letdown for me to even manage and survive.. First the zombie, then the freak, now this... Too many letdowns already.. Urk.." It was obvious- he was too disappointed in the whole of the school.

  • "Why can't she ever look at me that way," Spirit mumbled to himself, drooping sadly. He slowly walked away to assist any students that needed help.

Soul looked over st her and grinned his trademark shark-toothed smile. "Sounds like a plan," he agreed, putting his hands in his pockets and looking around.

Hana looked over at her partner. "Ry--" she stopped short when she saw his position and mental state, deadening. "Oh no..." She wondered if she should ask for help or if this was normal for first-timers.

  • Maka checked around, just like Soul was, to see if she could be of anybody's assistance. She would look anywhere except for a couple of students, because her father would also be in her field of vision together with the students.

Ryumaru simply stayed at the corner, curled up into a ball as he was, mumbling with a gloomy aura around him, seeming desperate for somebody to not let him down. "I'm sorry for coming to this academy..."

  • "Huh. Maka, look." Soul turned to his friend and jerked a thumb to Ryumaru in the corner, with Hana standing worriedly beside him. "Someones already in thr fetal position." He let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair. "Think we should help them out? I think Stein might have done something during his class that effected them..." He didn't really think of anything else that was abnormal, mostly because either he didn't care or he had just been there long enough to be used to it.

  • Maka nodded at Soul, starting to walk over, grabbing Soul's wrist suddenly and dragging him over to the pair that had closed up on the corner. "Let's go see if we can help.." She could be heard muttering lowly. "Professor Stein tried a dissection first class again, didn't he.." Upon having come close to the two, she smiled at Hannah, tilting her head over to Ryumaru before saying. "Do you two have any.. problems...?" She sounded clueless in the least, as she more likely knew what was going on with Ryumaru, which to her surprise Hannah didn't mind having happened.

Ryumaru on the other hand, didn't even bother to turn around to face Maka and Soul, simply staying there and continuing to give off the gloomy aura around him.

  • Soul wanted to protest at being grabbed by the wrist, but managed to get to the other side of the room without complaining. He just stood next to Maka silently, boring into Hana with his heavy, red eyes.

Hana gulped. She couldn't believe they were even talking to her! "Well... Today was a bit overwhelming for both of us, I mean... We both got lost, and then when we called for help there was only this... Weird shadow person with a mask, and he sent a zombie to pick us up, and then the zombie took us to a crazy dissected that was plucking a turkey and then he was going to chop the turkey open but then the bell rang and then we managed to make it here without much trouble but you two are so cool and I don't think I'll ever be like you..." She slumped over, snd within seconds she had joined Ryumaru inthe corner, weeping silently and rather pathetically for herself.

Soul looked over at Maka, raising an eyebrow. Are they for real?

  • Maka was looking blankly at the two that were now weeping in a corner, having no expression whatsoever. It reminded her of whenever she and Soul read poems that Crona had written. She was about to join them before she shook her head, walking up to them and patting their heads, smiling. "D-Don't worry, you'll get used to it. That's as far as it goes though, really." She was trying to comfort them, and make them do what their assignment was, instead of just weep in a corner the whole day.

Ryumaru looked behind him, silently into Maka's eyes. "But I don't want to see birds getting dissected..." He muttered, before turning back to the corner and going back to being the weeping student he just was.

Maka looked at the two blankly right after, somewhat mad at them as she asked Ryumaru, to recognize the roles of the pair. "Which of you is the Meister..?" Her tone didn't really show any exhibits of anger however.

Ryumaru nodded to her, even though not facing her, as if admitting that he was the Meister among the two.

At that point, Maka's expression turned from a complete blankness to anger, as she grabbed Ryumaru from his ear, dragging him backwards slightly, away from the corner obviously, before pulling him up from his ear. "Is that how you're going to take care of your weapon?!" She asked, annoyed at how the first year students already seemed like complete airheads.

Ryumaru shook his head, having felt his body stiffen whole, unable to talk back to that menacing a sight, especially when that menacing female was his own role model. All he did after, was nervously look into her eyes, unable to shake or anything such as he was too stiffened to even think of doing so.

  • "???" Hana's head shot up when Maka pulled away Ryumaru, her deep blue eyes widening. "Hey, wait," she yelped, scrambling to her feet. "He's just scared!" She reached out for them, but a scythe cut across her reach, stopping her immediately. Soul stood there, his extended arm transformed into a scythe. A shadow had fallen over his eyes. "Don't touch Maka when she's giving a speech," he said, looking up and grinning menacingly.

    Hana swallowed.

  • Maka pulled on his cheeks, growling lowly. "Don't act like that in front of your weapons, you're supposed to guide them to the right path, not to weeping in a corner!" Her words didn't exactly match the way she was 'punishing' him, by pulling on his cheeks, even though it was somewhat painful for Ryumaru.

Upon hearing that, Ryumaru, not doing anything but sustaining what she was doing to him, even though he found it painful in an odd way, exclaimed after she was done. "A-A-Aye!" It didn't look like he'd even dare talk back against Maka, especially not when she had that menacing an expression on. Was his role model a devil that came straight out of the depths of Hell to torture Ryumaru over mistakes after all..?

Maka then, after a short while of 'punishment' on him, turned him around and pushed him towards Hannah, telling him as she had already pushed him towards Hannah and he was barely able to not fall down. "Now, go train with your weapon properly! No more weeping nor whining! Because if I see you doing either..."

Ryumaru exclaimed again, not wanting her to go on saying anything as he was already, scared enough of her. Anything else said would lead him to having nightmares over it, reason why he interrupted her rudely by exclaiming. "A-A-Aye!"

  • Hana yelped as Ryu faltered next to her, reaching out a couple of hands to steady him. He wasn't sure this was helping much, surely he now wanted to leave the school after such a gruesome day... And they still had a while to train. She sighed, exhaling a puff of exhausted breath.

Soul's arm slipped back into it's natural state, and he stepped close to Hana. "And you... You're job is to protect the meister. At all costs. Even above your own life." He said thirds in a low voice, as if he didn't want Maka to hear. "You got that, newbie?" Hana rapidly nodded, AMD he moved away, back to Maka's side. He sighed exasperated. "Freshmans these days. So... Not cool."

  • Ryumaru looked at Hannah, his voice completely shaken as he held his hand out. "H-H-Hannah, t-try transforming.. Urk..." It didn't look like the incident with Maka just now would really go away that easily, as he didn't even dare look at her in the eyes currently, wanting to try and raise himself in the seniors' eyes in front of him, in the least.

Maka simply watched, with her arms crossed, expecting to see at least a partial transformation from Hannah, if not a complete one. Her eyes however, were fixed onto Ryumaru, since he and Maka only had the same occupation, while Soul and Hannah had matching ones in contrast to Maka and Ryumaru. Did he have any Soullength gifts as a Meister like Black Star did? She didn't know, and more likely neither did Ryumaru himself. She was eager to find out however, due to the two looking somewhat interesting, even if they had just made a pretty bad impression to the senior pair that was watching intently.

  • Hana nodded, nervous and wild-eyed. She tried to get herself calm for the transformation, taking deep breaths and closing her eyes. After a couple of minutes, she felt herself loosen, and she slowly began to transform into her weapon. Her legs and feet began to glow and shapeshift while the glowing moved up to the rest of her body. Hana secretly hoped she would transform fully, as she didn't think Ryunaru couldn't handle any more embarrassment.

Soul folded his hands behind his head, raising an eyebrow. He wasn't as interested in the newcomers as Maka, but he was always up for finding a new weapon.

  • Ryumaru looked at her, nervous of whether he'd get scolded by Maka for any reason, even for her possible inability to transform into a weapon, reason why he was all that sweated and nervous about this. He hoped that she'd transform fully and get the two back up in the senior pair's eyes. They were running throughout her whole body as he saw the glow start emitting from it and cover her whole, excited and thinking it was under her hand finally.

Maka on the other hand, was glaring straight up at Ryumaru, to see what his expression and reaction would be to Hannah's transformation, as well as how he'd handle her in case she succeeded in transforming fully and not just partially, or none at all.

  • Hana's eyes squeezed tighter as her body fully turned into light. She opened her eyes yelping as she zipped around Ryumaru before finally hovering in front of him, transforming completely. In front of her meister was an axe, the blade sharp and shiny, as if brand new. At the end off the staff was a dark grey handle, much like her sweater, and between the two blades was a deep blue diamond, marked on either side. "H-huh?!" Hana appeared in the blade, looking down st herself. "I-I... I did it! I transformed... All the way!!"

Soul let a smile sprout on his face, albeit a small one. Although the girl had transformed, she Stoll had a ways to go.

  • Ryumaru grabbed hold of her from the staff, tightly so that she didn't slip and fall down, with both hands. She felt heavy to him, not having been used to lifting up anything heavier than his own bags and books, or belongings. He looked at the blade, blushing a faint red as this happened with all weapons when they appeared on the blade- they didn't seem to have any clothes, even though no vulgar parts of the body were visible. It looked like just seeing nothing about around just below the neck, was enough to put him into dirty thoughts about her.

Maka simply stared at him, inspecting his stance as he held the axe in his hands, not sure if the way he was holding it with the blade pointed to the left side, was exactly the proper one to hold a normal, one-bladed axe. She wasn't an expert to correct him though, clapping as she let out a sigh, covering up with a smile that wasn't fake- rather a congratulating one for their first move as meister and weapon. That was, before she noticed the blush on Ryumaru's face and tracked where his eyes were pinned on, growling lowly as she was about to shout something around the lines of 'Show some respect to your partner!', more likely. However, she held back, to see if anybody else would notice, and not try to scare him even more for something that wasn't considered a meister's complete mistake as it was, in fact, inevitable.

  • "Ryu! Ryu, I did it," Hana squeaked excitedly. "Oh my goodness! I'm so happy!' The double-bladed axe seemed to jump inside Ryumaru's hands, as if leaping for joy.

"Yeah, yeah. It's not the hardest thing you'll have to do, you know," Soul remarked dryly, rolling his eyes. Notably, he was trying not to look at Hana while she kept her blade open. "And do us all a favor by closing up your blade, will ya??"

Hana blushed, closing her eyes as her cheeks turned red. "S-sorry," she squeaked as she disappeared from view.

  • Ryumaru nodded as soon as she closed her blade, having been blushing and too absorbed day dreaming of what she'd look like as she currently appeared to have been, not being the most innocent person if there had been a hint beforehand. "Y-Yeah, c-c-congratulations.. Haha.." He sounded somewhat nervous, thinking that Soul was possibly onto his perverted thoughts. On the other hand, he wasn't sure what to do, turning over to Maka. "S-Say, what now..?" He asked, with a clueless expression and tone, having no idea what to exactly train at or how, more importantly.

Maka stared, blankly, not exactly sure what exactly the two had to do after having reached that point. To make sure that she gave proper guidance, unlike her father would in her eyes, she turned at Soul, pointing at the two in a polite manner, asking him what he thought they should do, to have a more generalized idea than just hers in play.

  • OOC: As long as it's something over nothing, it's literally okay. Better rushed than none. :P

IC: Ryumaru looked at her, silent as his cheeks started flushing to a faint red slowly, which luckily however got interrupted as he shook his head violently to snap out of it. "A-Anyways, w-we have to get going for the next class, H-Hannah!" He said, nervous of being filled with his previous thoughts, which would be something he indeed would certainly not enjoy. He then grabbed Hannah from the wrist, blushing faintly as he ran out of the class, dragging her behind him as he did.

Maka on the other hand sighed, turning to look at Soul and simply staring, not having any destination in mind as their program was much more free than Hannah's and Ryumaru's was, it seemed. "So, where to now, Soul? You get to pick this time." She said, smiling as she bent forwards slightly, holding her hands behind her back.
