    At the sound of Scarlet's voice, he turned his was slightly to face her. His eyes were filled with anger and overflowing with tears. "It would be nice you ge off my case" he snarled, his eyes flickering from red to brown. "Leave me alone!" He roared, a card landing inbetween them. The heater almost dared them to cross the card, his hands twitching slightly.

"no complaints here." she giggled, following the boy's gaze and looking across the beach herself. her eyes landed on Arthur and she couldn't help but smirk slightly at the boy's red face. she turned and nudged koi lightly, giggling as she went. "looks like you have a secret admirer."

    orion laughed at azalea's statement, shoulder shaking. he leaned back, crossing his arms behind he head and lying down. "i'm surprised he's not red, what with lucas being all close with amelie." he chuckled, turning his head to look at the couple. as azalea stood and raced after scarlet, he jerked up, watching the two run after the jester. when jasper turned orion stood, quickly eleporting to stand between scarlet and azalea and the card. "woah, dude, just calm down." he muttered.

    "You think a little card is going to stop me?" Scarlet scoffed.
    She went to take a step forward, until Orion came between all of them.


    Lucas caught sight of the ruckus in his peripheral vision. Reluctantly, he stood up and began walking over to the group. Was Jasper possibly going through a regression?
    "What's going on?" He asked, a hint of worry in his eyes.


    "This guy suddenly got all mad and began to walk off on his own," Scarlet explained. "See? He isn't ready to be here in the outside world yet."


    Azalea stepped towards Orion for protection. She was afraid of Scarlet pushing Jasper's buttons too far.

    "He didn't get like this until I went over to Lucas," Amelie said softly. "I think that seeing me with Lucas set him off..."


    Erec held Ashen's hand, not wanting them to get involved just yet. He wanted to stay out of it unless Jasper decided to attack.


    Rósín followed Erec's example and hung back but was ready to 'bubble' Jasper should he prove to be a threat.

    Jasper watched as Scarlet came closer and closer to the card, his eyes flickering from brown to red to brown again. But that was when Lucas stepped in. He immediately changed, his anger dissolved though was replaced it was worse. Jealousy and heartbreak filled his eyes and his the brown fell to stare at the sand. He let out a shaky breath, "Just... leave me alone..." he whispered, turning and slowly starting to walk away again.

    Lucas furrowed his brow and looked at Amelie. Why would that possibly- Oh... The wolf boy flushed slightly at the cheeks and scratched the back of his neck. Well this was awkward. He then cleared his throat before deciding to speak.
    "It seems like he just has a problem with getting too attached to one person. First it was Arthur, now it seems to be me."


    "You can't own people, Jasper!" Scarlet growled. "Get it through your head!"


    Azalea put a hand over Scarlet's mouth.
    "What she means to say is... You can love someone without having to be posessive... But you did good! Walking away to clear your head is good some times. Better than attacking!"


    When Jasper began to walk away, Lucas couldn't help but feel guilty. He hadn't meant for this to happen.


    "We can't leave you alone," Scarlet retorted. "Not without supervision."
    She shot open a portal and pointed inside.
    "Now get in. We're going back to the treehouse. Then you can be alone in the safety of your own room."

    Jasper shuddered as he listened to Lucas speak, his heart aching alittle bit more. He didn't feel the same for Arthur as he did Lucas... Lucas was different somehow... He shook his head as he kept walking, his hands now clenching his upper arms to keep himself from turning and lashing out at Scarlet.

    Scarlet waved her arms angrily, her eyes shifting from Jasper to the rest of the group.
    "Somebody f*cling stop him! He won't listen to me and we are NOT letting him go off by himself!"


    Lucas sighed and jogged after Jasper, slowing his pace a bit once he caught up.
    "Hey. I'm sorry you're upset right now, but you need to understand that we can leave you unattended just yet. Can you please come with us back to the tree house? Then I promise we will all leave you alone."

    Jasper let out a growl as he listened to Scarlet speak, shaking as he continued to walk. But then Lucas was suddenly beside him, his eyes filling with even more heartbreak as he looked at him. His bottom lip quivered, his eyes quickly looking away before he suddenly shrunk and his form changed. This was something new that the others had never seen before. He turned himself into a girl, like Arthur would to turn into his fox form. Jasper glanced up at him, "W-would you like me b-better in this form...?" Jasper sniffled, tears running down his white skinned cheeks.

    Leo raised his hands to stop Scarlet from waving hers. "Scarlet, calm down! Lucas is talking to him now and he's not gonna take things any better if we yell at or attack him." He shot a look at Ari, who stopped in her tracks. She was already running over with a spear in her hand. When he turned to see how Jasper was doing, his eyes widened. Why was Jasper suddenly a girl....?

    Scarlet folded her arms and fell silent. The girl fumed as she watched Lucas try to handle the situation.


    Lucas's eyes widened. Jasper was in love with him, wasn't he? The boy didn't know how to react. He stuttered a bit before finally managing to get a full sentence out.
    "N-no, Jasper. I'm sorry, but...I don't feel that way about you."


    Azalea's jaw dropped to the ground. What was going on here? She clenched her fists, worried of how Jasper would handle the rejection.

    Jasper looked away from him, changing slowly back into a male. His eyes were a deep chocolate brown and for a moment, his skin was softly tanned and his hair was a dusty blonde. "Not even like this?" he breathed out, his voice coming out different than it did a moment ago. His voice wasn't filled with sadness, or jealousy. It was just broken, defeat riddled and quiet.

    "Jasper," Lucas sighed. "Attraction isn't only about what's on the outside, you know."
    He glanced over his shoulder to see if Amelie was listening before looking back at the jester.
    "Amelie and I have something special," He added quietly. "It goes below just the surface."
    The boy hoped that Jasper would understand. Although this whole situation made him feel rather uncomfortable, he really did want Jasper to be happy.
    "You need to let go. Happiness resonates from within yourself. Not from other people."

    Jasper looked up at him with watery eyes before starting to hug him but he stopped himself. He sniffled, "I understand... But I..." He frowned, taking a step back from him. He then shuddered and started to twitch and shudder. That was when he stumbled back from Lucas, clutching his head tightly before the ground rumbled. The jester let out a whimper, clutching his head before a large explosion went off. It sent everyone back about five feet or more. When everything settled down, a slight crater had appeared and Jasper was lying in the middle. He almost didn't look the same. He was well... He was normal at least on the outside... He was unconscious, a few bruises and scrapes on his arms and face. .

    After the explosion, Rósín was the first to rush into the crater. She knelt beside his prone body and swiftly took note of his injuries. "I don't think it's anything too serious, but we need to get him back to the house right now," she said.


    Amelie's eyes went wide as she was flung backwards. She landed rather hard on her back and the wind was knocked out of her badly enough that it took her several long moments to remember to breathe.


    Out of instinct, Erec put his arms around Ashen protectively as the explosion sounded. "I hope everyone's alright," he said, hurrying over to the others.

    Lucas coughed and sputtered as he was knocked down into the sand. He got up as quickly as he could and rushed over to Amelie.
    "Are you okay?" He asked.


    Ashen was grateful for Erec's protection. She managed to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before running over to the others.
    "Is anybody hurt?"


    Azalea stood up and brushed the sand off of herself. She nodded in agreement with Rosin and opened a portal back to the treehouse.

    "I'm fine," Amelie said as she smiled up at Lucas. "I just got a little winded like most of us probably were." She stood up and brushed off as much sand as she could. "We're probably going to be finding sand in all sorts of places for weeks!"


    Erec moved into the crater and picked up Jasper's body, knowing that he was more physically able than either of the girls. "Rósín, make sure your cousin gets back safe," he said before carrying the unconscious jester through the portal.


    Rósín nodded and began to wade out in the water to get Talia.

    Lucas chuckled slightly and gave the girl a kiss on the forehead before following the others through the portal. He watched Erec as he carried the jester. What happened? He looked entirely different now. Had he done that on purpose? The boy sat down on one of the couches and sighed while rubbing his temples. Things were starting to feel a little overwhelming. Why was it him that had to "break up" with Jasper?


    Ashen, Azalea, and Scarlet followed through as well. They all stood back and watched everyone silently.

    After a little bit of trouble, Rósín managed to get Talia back on shore and through the portal.


    Erec set the jester down on the couch. "Guys, I don't think we should lock him up. He's fighting to be good, even if he is struggling with it. I don't want to lock him up alone again, even if that means I have ti stand guard constantly.


    Amelie squeezed Lucas's hand reassuringly and looked up at him lovingly. "You know, it isn't your fault that this has happened. You handled the situation as best as you could and I'm proud of you for that."

    Lucas lifted his head and looked over at Amelie.
    "What would I do without you?" He smiled.


    "I agree," Ashen said in response to Erec. "He wants to change himself. Nobody can deny that now."
    Her red eyes glanced at Liberty and Scarlet.


    Scarlet looked down at Jasper. Her expression had softened a bit, but she said nothing.
