  • "Well duh!" Scarlet teased "You can't have a party without a little booze!"

    - TIME LAPSE -

Lucas sighed as everyone finally arrived at the treehouse. Honestly, he really wanted to get some sleep...but he was also afraid he may have that dream again. The boy, who had been trailing behind the rest of the group, stopped as everyone came to a sudden halt.

Scarlet turned to face everyone, striking a pose with her hands on her hips.
"Okay! Now that we're all gathered together, Liberty and I thought it would be fun if we all went out to celebrate our first challenge day! Ya know, loosen ourselves up a bit after a long day!"

"Somehow I get the feeling that was mostly your idea," Azalea drawled.
She wasn't particularly in the mood to celebrate, but she could definitely use a little loosening up.

"I like that idea!" Ashen mused. "Where will we go?"

"Oh I have a place in mind," Scarlet winked.

  • Gabriel grinned at Scarlet. Then his gaze shifted to his sister who was standing with her perfect posture. She wasn't going to know what hit her. He looked at Azalea, she still seemed a little upset... He tapped her on the shoulder, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Azalea? Would you help me with something?" He asked her in a whisper. "I need some... Fashion advice..." He said a little absently. Then, quiet suddenly he turned to Scarlet. "Hey! We'll meet up in a little while, Azalea and I have to grab something!" He announced before letting out a loud whistle, opening a portal and pulling Azalea with him. Where they ended up was a small clothing store in the dream world.

Koi looked at the strange boy before turning his attention back to Scarlet. He smiled, motioning for her to lead the way. "Let's go!"

  • "Alright, I guess I'll...keep the portal open for you guys?" Scarlet murmured, but the two had already disappeared. 'Weirdos.' The red head shrugged it off and used one of her pistols to shoot open a portal. Music and the chatter of voices could be heard on the other side.
    "All board!" She shouted.

Ashen leapt gracefully inside of the portal, but then tripped on her landing once she reached the other side. She giggled at herself and looked around. They were still in the dream world, and the sun had just finished setting. There were lights strung about that gave off a warm glow. There was a wooden stage with live music playing, and many stands with different foods and alcoholic beverages. There was a large bonfire, a few street performers, and even a child's bouncy house. Who knew what this festival was for, but it seemed like the perfect place to have fun!

Lucas carefully walked up to the portal and looked inside. Partying wasn't necessarily his thing...
"Gah!" The boy let out a gasp as a hand suddenly pushed him in.

"Come on Lucas, I think you need a drink more than anyone!" Scarlet insisted.
She followed after him and waited on the other side for everyone else to get through.

    "Where are we?" Lucas inquired.

"This is a place in the dream world where there is a constant festival!" Scarlet replied. "Literally, the party never stops going. My dad showed it to me on my 16th birthday and I fell in love with the place! It's perfect to go when you need a night of fun. Everyone here is always super friendly...probably because they're usually under the influence of something."

Meanwhile, Azalea stood in the clothing store with Gabriel, looking very confused.
    "Why are we here?"

OC- Whatever else you guys wanna add to the festival, go right ahead xD

  • Although the son of Wisp and Charles was acting as cool as a cucumber, his mind was racing. He looked at the girl and started to explain himself. "Okay. I wanted to pick something out for Liberty cause she's always wearing one of her tight, uncomfortable looking uniforms and gear. So I thought that for this little celebration I could get her something a little more comfortable and a little more, you know, non-all business looking outfit." He then took a breath and looked around the store, then returned his attention back to Azalea. "But, I'm not a fashionista myself," he motioned to his own outfit which wasn't all that bad, but he was hoping to rouse a laugh out of her. "So I was hoping that you wouldn't mind helping me pick something out? Girl clothes are a whole different ball park."

Liberty stepped through the portal and took a look around. This was much... Softer than she had imagined. She had thought that it would be much darker and more... Club like? Yes, that's what she was expecting. But partying wasn't her cup of tea, neither was drinking really. She was just afraid she would get to much and say something she shouldn't, or do something she shouldn't. But, maybe she could let loose tonight? She ran a finger through her short hair, glancing around the area for a quiet spot to sit. She would just make sure the group stay out of trouble.

The Indian was amazed by the festival. Mainly by the bounce house. He loved those things. Not so much the act of bouncing in them, but just watching the children inside. He found it very humorous when a child would give themselves whip lash or jump at just the wrong time and pretty much break their knees backwards. It was hillarious. "Roisin, where do you want to go?" He asked, despite the fact that he wanted to go find a seat by the bounce house.

Azalea smiled inwardly. What a nice brother...
"Okay. Well, I don't know how you plan on getting her to change out of her own free will, but I will try to pick out something cute!"
She lifted her chin up in confidence and walked deeper into the store, over to the dress section. Maybe something black? Black went with everything... It couldn't be a bright color anyways. Liberty would never wear something like that. The pink haired girl looked deep in concentration as she flipped through all the articles of clothing on the racks. 'Maybe I can find something for myself too while I'm at it.'

"You guys do whatever you want," Scarlet said. "You can all return to the treehouse whenever you'd like. I'm gonna go check out the band."
She walked off towards the stage, passing by a fire dancer on the way. 'Pfft. I could do that.'

  • Gabriel was overjoyed. "Thank you so much!" He exclaimed, giving her a brief hug before he followed her closely. "Oh she will probably definitely fight me. But she's gonna wear whatever I buy." He said with a wide grin, more excited then he probably should be.

  • After a few minutes of searching, Azalea had found two outfits to choose from.
"Okay, which do you think she would hate less? This? ...Or this?"
In one hand, she held up an outfit with black wet-look pants with a cute black crop top. In the other, she held a black cocktail dress with cutout sides.
"They're both very flattering, without being too risqué."

  • Gabriel looked at the outfits. He wanted to see his sister in both... Oh well! "The pants and shirt!" He said with a nod before snatching them and running off to pay for them, it would be easier for Liberty to get down and dance her butt off in pants! After paying for the items he turned to Azalea. "You want anything before we leave?"

  • Azalea had thought about getting something, but then decided against it. It's not like she had anyone to impress. The pink haired girl shook her head and opened a portal back to the tree house. When they stepped through, the portal Scarlet had made was still there.
"I'm so ready for a drink right about now," She sighed.
Casting one last glance at Gabriel, she passed through the portal and ended up right next to the others.
"Well it doesn't seem like we missed much."

Ashen giggled and looked over to Azalea.
"I haven't moved yet because I don't know where to start! There are so many things to do here!"

Lucas strayed from the rest of the group. He walked by a lot of the stands. Perhaps eating or drinking something would make him feel better, and maybe even help put him to sleep. The boy stopped at a place giving out samples of beer and began to try a few.

  • Gabriel waved goodbye to her before he was off. He quickly found his sister sitting on a bench and just observing the crowd. A devilish grin appeared on his lips. Without any explanation, the brunette grabbed his sister and drug her into a bathroom. And they were in there for a while. "Liberty! Put this on!" He commanded, throwing the clothes at her.

His sibling looked at the articles of clothing and looked at him, confused. "Why?"

Gabriel just turned his back to her covering his eyes. "So you can dance and have fun and not be stuck in all that gear! It must be tight and uncomfortable, so change!"

Liberty glared at him. "My attire is very comfortable and strategicly smart. It stretches with my movements when I fight." She started looking at them more closely. "Where am I going to keep my weapons?"

The younger turned and glared at her. "Just please put them on?" He said through gritted teeth.

After at least 15 minutes of arguing, Gabriel finally stuffed his sister in the outfit and pushed her out into the festival. The girl felt more uncomfortable than before! The bottom half of her stomach was showing. She started to cross her arms over the skin being shown. "Gabriel! Did you pick this out!?"

Her brother only grinned before he smacked her arms away. "Why are you freaking out? Show off what you got! Your 6-pack is better than mine!"

  • Scarlet managed to hear the two siblings bickering over the music. She walked over to them and looked Liberty up and down.
"Lookin' good, Lib! Wish I had thought of a cute outfit for the festival!"
The red head grinned and leaned onto one side.
"You guys want some drinks? I know a guy who gives 'em to me for free."

Ashen finally decided to go over to some of the game stands. She saw one where you could win a pet goldfish and instantly became adamant on getting one. The girl slammed her money on the counter and began to play.

  • Liberty blinked at the red head. 'Lib?' Her face flushed as the girl looked her up and down. "Th-thanks... This wasn't my idea." She said, glaring at the little skunk she called her brother. Once again she returned her attention to Scarlet. "I don't really-"

A hand was pressed against her mouth. Gabriel smiled at Scarlet. "We would love something to drink, thank you."

  • Erec spotted Ashen and walked over to the spot next to her, intent on playing the game as well. "I bet I can win more goldfish than you," he teased with a glimmer in his eyes. He'd been to the festival once before and had become a near-expert at winning the goldfish game. Last time he had cleared them out entirely.

Talia, with her seemingly nonstop metabolism, immediately gravitated toward the food stands, intent on trying everything at least once. With amber eyes gleaming she contemplated which stand to go to first. Finally, after a bit of contemplation, she went to get herself a massive funnel cake.

Róisín smiled at her brother. "I have no clue what to do first. There's just so much to do! What do you think would be the most fun?" She was practically bouncing up and down with excitement, wishing that she was able to do everything at the same time.

Amelie looked around, slightly scared. In the stampede to enter the portal she had been swept in. Everyone had dispersed already and Amelie found herself unable to spot any of them. She began to slowly walk around, looking for anyone at all to open a portal for her and send her home. Her hair was still soaking wet and her linen dress was covered in dirt. She wrapped her arms around herself, shivering slightly.

  • "Not a chance!" Ashen laughed.
She had her own methods of winning, although they didn't require much skill. The object of the game was to knock down the tower of bottles within three tries. Ashen grabbed one of the small red balls and threw it in the direction of the bottle tower. Unbeknownst to the others, one of her ghost friends had knocked over all the bottles for her. It was nearly impossible to win one of these games without cheating anyway. Ashen had always sworn the games were rigged, so she never felt guilty about using her abilities to her advantage. The black haired girl turned to face Erec with a defiant smirk on her lips.
    "Your turn," She challenged.

Scarlet lead the two to a nearby stand, coincidentally the one Lucas was already at.
"Hey Lucas! You ready get turnt?"
She laughed at her own use of modern slang and waved to the man running the stand.

    "Turnt?" Lucas muttered.

"Scarlet! It's been a while," The man greeted from behind the stand.
The two engaged in idle chitchat for a while before Scarlet was finally offered some drinks for her and her friends.

"Here you go guys," Scarlet said as she handed them one each. "Cheers!"

    [hr]

I can picture Erec and Ashen returning home with bags of goldfish like "guys we needa buy a fish tank...like now"

The post was edited 1 time, last by peep ().

  • Koi smiled at the excited girl and looked around the area. He spotted one of those giant inflated obstacle courses. "Wanna try that thing?" He suggested.

Liberty was ready to refuse the drink but her brother forced it into her hands. What's gotten into him today? She looked at the two, before giving the man a quick thank you. She swirled the fowl smelling stuff in her cup and frowned slightly. With a sigh she took a sip, stopping herself from making a face from the taste. Beer really wasn't her favorite, but it wasn't all that bad.

Gabriel, on the other hand, was taking generous gulps of his drink. He then looked between the red head and the mystery man. "So? How do you two know each other?"

  • Erec smiled at Ashen. "Good job! But can you beat this?" He thew the ball with precision and force, knocking the bottles over with ease. Hours and hours of practicing throwing balls as hard as possible had given him his mad goldfish-getting skills.

"Absolutely!" Róisín was grinning broadly, extremely excited.

OC: That's the idea! They're gonna get all the fish

  • "I come here a lot," Scarlet shrugged. "We have a friendly buyer-seller relationship I guess you could say!"
She chugged some of her beer and put her arm back down, wiping some foam off of her mouth.
"His beer is great though, right?"
Her yellow eyes glanced at Liberty, causing a soft chuckle to escape her mouth.
"Or maybe it's not for everyone."

Lucas sipped his beer awkwardly. He didn't really feel like he was a part of this conversation. His eyes scanned the area, searching for an excuse to leave the group. When his gaze fell on Amelie, he noticed she was alone, looking cold and, quite frankly kind of miserable. The boy set his drink down and slid away from the group.
"Here, take this. You look freezing," He said, offering her his large coat.

Scarlet noticed Lucas slip away from the corner of her eye. She watched him walk over to Amelie and snickered.
"Those two can't stay away from each other today, can they?"

"Probably," Ashen boasted, tossing another ball.

The man running the stand watched in amazement as the two went back and forth, knocking down all the bottles. They were going to exhaust his supply of goldfish!

  • Liberty looked up at the man behind the stand then back at Scarlet. Her attention returned to the seller of the product. "It's not bad. Just not my cup of-..." She glanced at the cup. "Alchol... But it much better than everything I've ever tried." She added, taking another small sip.

Koi grinned and nodded leading her to the line which went by quickly. "The looser gets to buy the winner whatever they want. Deal?"

  • Amelie's cheeks were slightly flushed, though it wasn't clear if that was from her earlier fever, the cold, or her embarrassment. "O-oh, thank you, Lucas. But... won't you be cold? I was looking for someone to open a portal for me since I'm too weak to open one myself... I sort of came here by accident." The whole time she spoke she stared at her feet.

Erec rolled his eyes. "I swear, for someone so aware of the emotions of others she can be really dense. I blame my mother," he said with a chuckle before throwing another ball and knocking down another stack of bottles. "Give me another round of balls," he told the man working the stand as he pulled out a bill.

"Deal," Róisín exclaimed excitedly. "But I'm smaller and super duper nimble so I bet I win!" Mirth filled her voice and even though she didn't laugh audibly, her eyes spoke of her good humor for her.
