Toboe bared his teeth.
-
Rose frowned and narrowed her eyes, wishing she had the courage to hit Greed. But of course, she did not. "Ling, don't listen to him; I don't matter... go before you get hurt!" she said urgently, glaring at Greed with hatred now. She was being used, a tool. She hated that, hated him for doing it. She did not understand why still, but it still made her extremly mad...
-
Ling smiled faintly, then turned to Greed. "I don't abandon my friends, and you're no different, Rose." he said calmly, then smirked. "And as for you, Greed...? I'll do neither." he announced calmly. Greed smirked. "Big mistake, brat. Now, we see how strong you are!" he said, then lunged at Ling, Ling dodged easily, smacking Greed in the back of the head with his sword to distract him, then slashed at his arm.
-
Rose glanced around for a way to help. There had to be something... she sighed and tried to edge away, looking for any kind of weapon. If only she had her bow... she was utterly defenseless like this and shivered at the thought. This was almost worse then being caught by... them.. She sighed and said, "But I remembered what you said, Ling... You snapped and left, I thought our 'friendship' was over..." She was lying of course, but a cold glare set on Ling. Now, if one could be very perceptive, under that cold glare was a plea, a hope that he would go away as to not get hurt. Maybe she ould upset him enough to go away. Of course she still reguarded him as a friend... he came bak for her, he was wonderful. But she did not want him to get hurt, and do anything t make sure he did not do so.
-
Ling laughed. "I lied, Rose. I don't have the time for friends, but maybe it's time I made time for friends. After all, you're worth it." Greed laughed at him, enjoying this. "You humans are pathetic, making friends and such. In my world, there are two forms of people-the ones who get controlled, and the ones that control. One day..." He trailed of, then lunged at Ling again. Ling dodged easily, though, and slashed at him again. "No, you're the pathetic one, Greed." he started, then smacked into a wall.
-
"Might as well.." she got ready to practice a fire style.
-
Rose stared, actual true hatred rising in her eyes. It was plain to see, and she had gone still, deathly silent for a moment. "Well... I had been lying before, having still reguarded you as a friend. I still respected you and admired you fo your courage. But you know what? Now I do not; no feelings for you other then betrayal and hatred. Leave me, or stay and die. I honestly do not care at this point." She stood there, eyes cold and cruel, watching silently. She knew that if Greed won, she would most likely be harmed in some way, but did not care. She despised both at this point.
"And you know what? Humans might seem lesser to you, but I will take this in a strange speech. I think that all animals are equal to humans; none are lesser. I think that all creatures areequal to each other, none more pure or whatever. What you say is wrong. Friendship is not just a weak bond of trust. It is something to hlp you become not lonley and scuh, someone there for you when you need. The world you talk abotu will fall easily; no friends, no one to trust." She smirked and shook her head. "No matter the amount of power, it can easily fall." With that, she turned her back to them, cold hatred enimating from her. -
Ling felt that, but he didn't care. He could sense something else from her, or at least he had before, and he didn't want to leave her behind. "You really think I care?" Greed asked suddenly, turning to her slightly. He was about to speak again, but Ling slammed him into a wall, snapping his neck like before. Greed flinched, then shoved him away, snapping his head back into place. Ling smirked. "Don't loose your focus in a battle; that's the first lesson I learned. And as for you, Rose, I don't give a crap. Greed is my main target, and I honestly don't have time to care about what you think or say."
-
Rose ignored him now, coldness still coming from her. She glanced at Greed, wishing he would gold a sword to her throat right now and see if Ling cared at all. She doubter that would happen, but still. She did not turn to see them or anything, just looked at the monsters now with intrest. She wondered what they were, they seemed to be cruel and lifeless...
-
Ling smirked to himself, fighting off the pain. He hated saying things like that, but being who he was had made him an excellent actor. He didn't expect for Greed to change targets, though, and lunge for Rose. Ling dashed in front of her, somehow managing to block the attack... with his own body. He flinched, then cut Greed's head off and fell to his knees. "D*** Homunculus..." he muttered, bleeding from a large gash in is side.
The chimera were watching. They had orders to not get involved, but the female one that had talked to Greed before flinched when he fell to the ground, then glared at Ling, ready to jump in if needed.
-
"Fire style: Seeking flames jutsu" Flames appeared moving in different ways, she blinked."Oh no..i shouldn't of really used it here.." she sweat droped.
-
Rose glancded back to see Greed coming at her. She turned and did not flinch, only glared, expecting to be slashed at. She saw Ling intercept and cut off his head. "Tch. My hero." she said sarcastically, shaking her head and turning away again, eyes still glowing with hatred. If he was acting, she ould not tell; she simply despised both of them. She thought of Kain an what he would do if Rose told anyoned the secret. It was a random thought, but still was a current worry. IF she ogt out of here... She shivered to think of what he would do if angry.
-
Ling was a little pleased with himself, before he noticed Greed. Greed stood up, then smirked when he saw Ling. "Well. Seems you have guts. You can't fight me anymore, and that gash is going to kill you. Slowly, most likely. I told you, it's nearly impossible to kill me." Greed said, smirking. Ling stared in shock. He was fully healed! How...? Greed smirked, then glanced at the chimera. "Make sure he can't move, and keep an eye on the girl too. Seems we attracted unwanted attention." he said, then glanced up. "The military seems to be coming, and we all know what that means... except our uninvited visitors, how sad."
-
The flames kept going until they reached a certin place.
"S***!" She ran incase someone saw her peform the jutsu..
-
Rose watched silently, emotionless and still cold. She looked at him and said, "Since I mean nothing to him, can I go now?! I have classes to take." she added, knowing he would not care but wanting to at least give a reason. She sighed and crossed her arms, waiting patienly with an angry glare.
-
"Why would I let you leave? You might not see it, but I can tell that you're the only thing stopping Ling from flipping out completely and murdering everything here." Greed said coolly, then smirked when Ling got up. "Shut your mouth." he hissed, glaring at Greed coldly. Greed just laughed. "See? It takes me making him mad for him to even be able to stand, but I can also tell... he's holding back so he doesn't hurt you. He also doesn't want to act like a monster when his friend's around. Am I right?" Ling stared at him, then pointed the sword at his face. "You need to learn how to shut up. That's what's going to get you killed. By someone like me." he said coolly, then lunged again.
-
She kept running hoping nothing is destroyed by the flames.
-
Rose rolled her eyes and said, "I doubt that." she sighed and waited, wishing it would be over soon so she could return back to her studies. She hated this, hated being used as a tool. She glared at Ling with a withering glance of hatred, and waited for them to get on with it. She sighed, figuring he was dumb even to come here. This Greed seemed to be invincible and would not get killed easily or anytime soon.
-
Ling smirked suddenly, knowing exactly how to deal with Greed. "Those dots, on your chest... am I right in thinking that those are your weak point?" he asked coldly, not even glancing at Rose. "If so..." he started, then lunged at Greed. Greed dodged him, then slammed into a wall. "Jeez... you can move fast, huh?" he said angrily, then flinched when a shard of rock pierced his side. The female chimera lunged at Ling, but he cut her down the middle without even glancing at her. The rest lunged, as one, but Ling took them out easily, laughing. "Well, now. That was fun." he said coolly, then glanced at Greed, who was barely able to move. He had small shards of rock in all four red dots, and now Greed couldn't move at all. "Let's find out how many times it takes before you actually die, shall we?" Ling asked coldly, kneeling down next to Greed. "After all, that's something I've been wondering about for a long time."
