Lifting his cranium at the sound of his loyal deputy and his daughter, he got to his paws and pushed his way through the lichen dangling over the cave entrance. Noticing QuietStream huddled by a tree he shouldered through his warriors, making it to his deputy and lying down beside her. "Don't get upset about Mosskit, she's still recovering from the grief of... of..." he muttered to her, pressing his head into his paws.

QuietStream pushed a smile.
" I know, I shouldn't have brought it up.." She rolled over so her head was facing Riverstar," You are a amazing father Riverstar. Don't worry." Then she licked his ear. And nuzzled him. -
Moonshade trotted past Mosskit, turning her head and nodding a greeting, her gaze still poisoned with a small grief. "Good morning, is the leg doing any better?" She looked pitifully at the kit and sat.
(Should I make up Rivermist's death?) -
OOC: Sure
IC: Swallowing a small squeak of surprise he forced out a purr before getting up, "There's going to be a meeting today. Make sure your there." He nodded to his deputy before padding off.
StreamLeap had been in camp all day since Fogpaw, had been out hunting with the other warriors "How's the leg, Mosskit?" She asked her niece, politely.
(Rivermist was her sister)
-
Mosskit simply stood up, walking or rather limping away not wanting to be the centre of attention. She sighed as she made it to the nursery, lying on her back watching the fly buzz around the mossy walls.
-
Quiet stream nodded" okay River star... I will be there."
-
She flicked her ear in annoyance as the kit walked away, she remembered the death with every detail. The kit needed to remember that she was not the only one who was hurt.
-
Padding up to the great rock he leaped up it, "Let all cats old enough to fish in, the creek gather here before the great rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled, the words echoing off rocks and every wall that made the camp.
-
Moonshade gave one last glare at the kit before trotting over to the rock and looking up at the leader. Her eyes flickered with sadness as the memories of Rivermist, but there was a delicate joy to them.
The queen had died not long ago, leaving the clan in an awe over it still. She had been hunting in the forest for one of the first times after kitting, she was with her kits, Mosskit and her brother, Aspenkit. The mother had been showing the kits how to hunt, Moonshade, then Moonpaw, had been there too. The world had seemed dark that day, as if Starclan were already mourning the cat's death that would come so swiftly. A large monster glared over the forest, leaving death in its wake, a bear. It had seen the cats, and immediately attacked. In order to protect both her kits and her apprentice, the queen distracted the bear and ran away, but Aspenkit had chased after her. The queen's body had been found, mangled and broken, but the kit had never been seen again. -
Anime lover Riverstar and QuietStream aren't mates, she just really likes him.
(yes I know but Mosskit thinks there mates, btw please don't put any space in my username, it's XxanimeloverxX ;) k?)Mosskit winced in pain as she fell inside a puddle of muddy rainwater, as if Starclan knew her mood the clouds drifted over the sky for a second, just like when her mother was killed.
-
"Tonight I will be retiring to the elders den, my deputy will be taking over but before I do I have something to say. Mosskit?" He called into the crowd of cats gathering beneath the high rock.
-
"Elders den?!" Mosskit screeched to loudly to herself making a few cats stare at her confused. Mosskit sighed as she got out of the muddy puddle, before walking to the high rock's shadows wincing as a apprentice whispered brat to her.
-
Because of the ginger brutes unusually good hearing, he glared at the apprentice and beckoned him forward. "Mosskit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mosspaw. Your mentor will be Moonshade. I hope Moonshade will pass down all she knows on to you." he leaped from the ledge and pressed his muzzle against the top of her cranium. "Moonshade, you had a fine mentor in Rivermist, I you will pass down all she has taught to you onto this apprentice." He meowed flicking his tassel and turning to the apprentice, "And as for you, you will suffer an extra moon and a half doing nothing but checking the elders for ticks even as a warrior." He growled slowly, before padding off to QuietStream. "QuietStream, its time for you to go to the moonstream."
-
Moonshade gasped with joy as her eyes darted from her leader to Mosspaw. I've only just now warrior and I'm already getting an apprentice She ran to the new apprentice, forgetting her earlier irritation, and began to speak immediately. "Are you excited? Being an apprentice is amazing even though you have to work for the elders. So where do you want to start with your training? Do you want a tour of the territory? Do you want to start with hunting or maybe fighting?"
-
Quietstream,"Y-yes RiverStar" QuietStream sighed. Mosskit could barely tolerate her being deputy, let alone like her! Quietstream stepped down from the rock and was about to touch noses with Mosskit but hesitated a inch away and pulled her head back. If the kit didn't want her blessing she wouldn't get it. Instead QuietStream looked at her paws and swished her tail," Ready when you are." Wait, RiverStar. My lo-" She cut herself off, he wasn't her love. That other she-cat stole him. Quietstream silently padded over him and made a move, her muzzle to his ear, " RiverStar I must talk to you it is important." She whispered in his ear. She knew it was a rash decision to let a young warrior so young have an apprentice. The same night she was anointed warrior status! The kit blamed HER for... Everyones death. She couldn't let her take the responsibility of having an apprentice. But there was more she wanted to tell him.
" Please follow me real quick, it is private and urgent". -
Riverstar nodded silently and padded off with her, his tassel swishing "What is it, Quietstream?" He asked, looking at her in confusion
-
Moonkit looked in hatred at Moonshade then at Riverstar "Respectfully I decline the offer to become a apprentice, I do not think I am ready." She said bitterly before walking backwards trying her best to hide her surprise as Moonshade jumped, really [jumped to her. "I am not excited, nor I should be, I want to heal. Not kill.." She whispered softly. Her fur raised automatically as she saw Riverstar and QuietStream whispering together.
(Sorry if it seems it's focusing on Mosskit, just i was hoping she would become a Medicine Cat Apprentice, but I understand if you don't want that) -
(I was hoping she'd be a med apprentice as well)
His pools widened and he looked towards his daughter for a moment, "You cannot decline to be an apprentice Mosspaw, you are of the age an it is not the duty of CreekClan warriors and apprentices to kill. The warrior code goes against that, Mosspaw I have already announced to StarClan that you are a warrior apprentice, and StarClan won't be pleased if you decline the right to take their blessing. My father as a kit declined to be an apprentice to, and he didn't end up in StarClan he ended up in the dark forest. Is that what you want? Or is there a certain position you'd like within the clan?"
-
Mosspaw stared at him darkly for a while "Really? Is that what you told yourself when mother died? I want to become the medicine cats apprentice I want to heal cats that was just like mother, Starclan agrees with me. It's for you to decide if you want to believe me. And if following my path means being sent to the dark forest, so be it." She said only loud enough that he could hear she limped away tail and head down doing her best not to look at the clan.
Fox smiled slightly as he opened one eye lazily, All this sleeping is making my even more tired, but I guess I have to watch the drama, since I'm now living here he thought to himself watching a young she cat walk away depressed and sad, It was Mosskit I think, broken paw by falling of something. I will take pity on her. But she shouldn't have started all this drama. Hmm take her side or her families side? I want to lead this clan but wouldn't the best way be to comfort others? Fox shrugged walking to Mosskit only to be ignored.
-
Moonshade wanted badly to comfort the cat, but something inside her told her to wait. She just needs some time to herself. She thought sadly, dropping her head. She stood and sighed, "I'm gonna go hunting." She decided, looking at her leader for conformation.
(I'm gonna be playing Aspenkit too, but he will be going by the name Aspen)
Aspen sniffed the ground warily, turning his head to Buzz, "Rabbit, and..." He sniffed the ground again, "And stale dog, maybe here a few days ago." He concluded, turning once again to the brawny tom, who nodded encouragingly. "Very good, are you sure that's the only thing you smell?" He inquired. Aspen looked at him confused, but didn't question him. Instead he looked once again to the ground and sniffed. He was right, there was something else there, very faint, but very familiar. "What is this place?" His tail bristled as Buzz spoke. "You know this place, I know you don't remember, but you will."
