He'd been long dead and gone. He'd been alive and here. He'd been . . . a whisper in the dark or a light in the middle of a shadow. He'd been a lot of things for awhile. With a soft whisper, the male would prod on. His black paws aching. His features shriveling at the sight of the sun. It'd been a long while since he saw it. Saw it's treacherous blaring waves stare straight at the core of him. Saw it flicker on and off and fade into moonlight. It hurt. It hurt badly. To see the things that made you feel alive again. To see the only thing that told you that you were alive. Well. Not crying or beat down again. Not scared. Just plain alive.
Prodding forward the male would trip over something. His paws slipping and going one over another as he fell dramatically; bumping his head on the simplest of things as he fell down with a thud and a grunt. Ahh, now what did he bump his head on? Shaking his calico fur, Ad would start getting up with a light childish giggle. He never believed in cursing or using profanity. And he never used such words in his life. So why should he do it now? Even if he may be having a hard time. Even if his spirits were starting to fail on him.
"[b]Errr -" What the hell did he trip on? Fluttering his eyes open as he got up, the feline would stare at and object. An odd object. It was black and had a bit of rims on the side. It also looked like something you wore too. With a shrug, Adlet would pick it up with his jaw and attempt to slide it on his features. The fitting was a bit of a struggle, but in the end it fit as snug as a rug on a bug.
It was a nice discovery. Something that filled him with unseen hope. Pleasure. Enjoyment. Happiness. But only for awhile. But then again, who dropped it? Who left such a precious thing out here? Maybe one of those two legged creatures. Or maybe one of the animals who resided here. With a click of his tongue, the calico would be off with a sigh. "Heyyyy - is anyone out here?"
