The creature paused for a moment, but the sight of corpses drew him in. He was somewhat surprised that this group had left a perfect meal unattended to. Well, not so perfect (as they were horribly rotten) but still decent. Regardless, he decided against doing anything that might annoy them, as he wished to join their ranks.
    "Is anybody here?" The raspy voice indicated that the monster had not spoken in moons. He waited patiently for a response, flicking his whiplike tail to distract himself.
