  • Sunfang had been digging around the old territories every now and then, seeing what he could find, hoping to find something useful. Every now and again he would come back with trinkets and baubles or some weapons he thought someone in the clan might be able to use.

On this particular occasion he found something he thought the medics might be able to use.

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=8]Sam wasn't too big in to exploring: any more, at least. When she was younger she had been incredibly adventurous, and had checked almost every nook and cranny the territory had to offer at the time. When she had moved to the mountains with the Washingtons, she had no choice but to control that urge as although the cougars had a good grasp on the wildlife around them, there were still the occasional trespassers that had to be ran off and Sam was in no rush to encounter them. Ever since it had been a stiff habit to not wander too far from wherever she was residing. She would skirt around the borders, however, which were typically already pushing her comfort zone when she was alone because of her uncomfortable encounters with loners. Hazel optics scanning around her, the lioness had decided to test her luck once more by patrolling the borders alone. WindClan was a very populated Clan, and it wasn't uncommon to run into others during her strolls: however, that only made it all the more unsettling when the moors were quiet. A movement caught her attention, and the lioness stilled her movement as she focused in the familiar lupine. A dry smile spread across her maw at the realization of who it was. "Sunfang," Sam greeted as she approached, her tone neither particularly warm or standoffish but somewhere between. A thick static spread in the back of her thoughts, causing a headache to blossom through Sam. Clenching her jaw tightly together at the sensation, the lioness carefully placed herself into a seated position and tried her best to ignore the growing pressure that was building in her cranium. "How are you?"

  • Sunfang smiled when he saw the lioness, "Sam good to see you, how are you doing?" he rumbled.

He knew the femme to be somewhat skittish but overall she seemed very friendly and loyal, someone his clan was proud to have. Though there seemed to be something off, and he could not quite put his paw on it.

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify][size=8]Skittish was an interesting way to try to categorize Sam: it was true that she had begun to withdraw into herself long ago, although that was more a process of change rather then one of her being timid. The disappearances of Hannah and Beth had thrown quite a wrench in that metamorphosis, however, and had caught the female in an unideal middle ground that mostly consisted of regrets and unshed tears carefully hidden behind a well-made facade of smiles. Ever since she had technically returned to WindClan, she was considerably more withdrawn then she had been living up on the mountains with her friends. She was still friendly and went out of her way to offer smiles and kind words, but she wasn't one to speak of her personal issues or experiences: at least, not with anyone she wasn't particularly close. Camerapaw and Maelstrom were really the only Clanmates she'd confide in, and even then she'd pick and choose the information offered to them. Hell, as it was, she still hadn't shared everything about her with Josh, whom she had lived with and was now falling for. "I'm..." She trailed off, grazing her lower lip with her teeth. Sam was an honest individual, but again: she wasn't one for opening up to others quickly. "Alive." Alive was a start, at least. Alive was better then how Hannah and Beth were doing, and that thought caused a grimace to briefly pass over her face. God, her thoughts always went back to her missing friends: it was tiresome at times, yet other times she was more disappointed at the fact she was getting frustrated with how her thoughts lingered on them. They were her friends, of course she shouldn't forget them any time soon. "Could be better." She could be back up on the mountain, with Hannah and Beth still alive. She could be curled up alongside Josh or listening to Chris recite shitty jokes. Hell, she could even be listening to Emily incessantly complain about the warm weather. "I guess it could be worse, though." Sam wasn't going to be a foolish girl and think she was already at the bottom of the barrel: at least she still Josh.

  • Sunfang sat down and looked at her, "Sam, I know you don't know me very well, and please don't take what I'm about to say as me trying to pry into your life, because I ain't got no right to do that. I just want you to know that if you want to talk to someone, I'm here to listen, no judgement, just a friend," he rumbled with a warm smile.

"I think you might be able to use this," he rumbled dropping a black leather bag in front of her, "You can use it to carry around herbs. I have a couple of more for the other medicine cats, figured I'd give you this one, congratulations on your promotion."
