[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] A scavenger hunt? That was a surprise. Then again, this whole PLACE might as well be filled with them. "Alright: I have to find keys hidden in places around the house. And when I get them all, they'll open this book." she quickly recapped her instructions. Didn't sound TOO hard.

    [/fancypost]

  • Ezra grins.
"If you're anything like me, which I can see a lot of myself in you, this will be a difficult but welcome challenge, you do far better in school than everyone else right? You see connections no one else does and you fit them together faster, even the supposedly 'collage' level things are about as natural as breathing to you."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] Dad knew her well, seeing as they'd never met before today. Molly was one of the smartest in her grade. Good grades in lots of her subjects. By 3rd grade, she could read a few novels here and there. "Well, you're correct." she couldn't help the smile.

    [/fancypost]

  • He nods and smiles.
"Thought so, this challenge should be using skills that are around your actual level, so you'll find this a challenge. But remember: Keep your eyes and your mind open to all possibilities, this house is strange sometimes and you might find some things hard to accept."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] All right. Sounded easy enough. Molly knew this may or may not be easy. Puzzles happened to be among her specialties. Combine them with magic, though, you complicated things. "You can count on me."

    [/fancypost]

  • He grins.
"Good, hopefully by the time you finish you'll be ready for the truth of this place."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;]Cryptic. Should've known.

Molly had no more words. She examined the book in her hands, slowly coming up with the best (In her opinion) strategy.

    [/fancypost]

  • Sigurd looks at it and frowns.
"Ugh, took me months to figure that thing out... good luck."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] Molly's confidence was half and half. "I'll do great. I'm sure of it." she kept her smile on. She didn't mean to sound or act a little arrogant.

    [/fancypost]

  • He gives her a thumbs up, the cat meows and follows her, the glint of something around his neck briefly catching the light.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;]Aha!

Something shiny caught Molly's eye: The cat's 'collar'. She bolted after the furry little animal. Sweeping it up into her arms, she took a closer look to make sure it wasn't just a mistake.

    [/fancypost]

  • The cat meows in protest but seems to realize it's Molly and purrs contentedly, around his neck is a neat little key.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] Molly handled the key as she tried to get it off. "Hey, sweetie. Don't worry; I just gotta..."

    [/fancypost]

  • the cat doesn't complain, just purrs hard enough to vibrate in Molly's arms.

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;]Click! Success! The key came off without a hitch. Molly gently set down the rumbling kitty cat. "Thanks, little guy."

    [/fancypost]

  • It looked as if it was too small for the notebook locks, but might fit something slightly smaller...

  • (Cut to: Molly, accompanied by Sigurd, finds the little keyhole. She kinda teases him and vice versa)

  • He scratches his head.
    "Wow... well..."
he pulls out a slightly larger key, it looked to fit one of the keyholes.
    "Look at this."

  • [fancypost bgcolor= COLOR; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; background:url(http://cache.desktopnexus.com/…bigthumbnail.jpg);height: 270px; width: 400px;]template ©snowtreegod #snowtreetemplate

[fancypost bgcolor=white; border: WIDTHpx TYPE COLOR; opacity: 0.8;overflow: auto; width: 200px; height: 250px;float: right;] Molly could do lots of things. But there often came a time she had to swallow her pride and get help. So she went to Sigurd and here they were now.

Molly let go of his arm and took the key in hand. She looked it over and began to think. "Let's give it a try, then." she swiftly placed the key into the hole.

    [/fancypost]

  • it clicks crisply and falls open, the other two locks still gleam, locked. Sigurd looks around.
    "Hm... anticlimactic."
the air shimmers softly and for a moment the cat's eyes glow green, he looks at Molly with a strange intelligence.
