— at first glance ophelia might seem distant or quiet, while in truth she is quite friendly and out-going – it’s just that her anxiety makes it difficult for her to meet new people. it wreaks havoc on her nerves because she is really quite a chatterbox and enjoys conversation, but she’s not very good with her words and often stumbles over sentences which has come to be an often occurrence; this is why she feels it’s better just to keep her mouth shut.
once you get past phel’s nervous yet friendly first impression, one could describe her as childlike because ophelia is nothing if not naïve; her juvenile demeanor makes her seem younger than she actually is. You see, ophelia is truly a glass-half-full kind of gal, who manages to see the good in everyone and everything which has come to be one of her downfalls as it can lead her to be too trusting of others.
although she may not look it phel is actually quite intelligent. even though her grades in math and science sometimes fall short of even passing, she is the supreme english alpha geek and has a keen interest in the history of the world around her, so her marks in english and social studies are often quite high. her artistic talent is something she’s quite proud of as it is her own talent; not something passed down or forced onto her by family. she isn’t egotistical about it, rather she’s quite modest and is constantly thinking of ways to improve her style.
one thing is for sure – ophelia can be quite the crybaby. her feelings get hurt very easily as she has been given high praise since she was young, so she doesn’t know how to handle critism. that being said she is also quite spoiled and boy does she know how to throw a trantrum.
something to note about ophelia is that she tends to act the same round everyone. though sometimes her anxiety holds her back she isn’t one to put on a façade around other people because she’s tried it before and it became very tiring, so if someone can’t accept her dipsy personality then she can’t be bothered trying with them.
