Duliue nodded; dipping her maw. "Thank you," she said in a rather low grumble.
Sorry, short.

as the lone wolf prodded about, a sudden haunting noise met her ears. carried out on the wind were the much too familiar voices of her former pack mates. a few of them, at least; maybe two or three? she couldn't quite figure. but their voices seemed to draw back old memories; some good, some bad. however, the sound simply put an end to her lonesome walkabout. now, the wolf stood still with upright ears. it had been quite a while since she had last seen, or even heard of the pack -- at least three months or so now? if it had even been that long already. "must be hunting," Seren decided with a single blink of her amber stare. hunting must have been her favourite thing to do together, and back then her belly was almost always full. now, not so much -- her frame had thinned. hunting wasn't easy on your own.
meanwhile, a lazy Cigfran stayed back at the pack's dens. hunger had started knowing at his belly, and he became quite restless. pacing to and from one end of the light-lit clearing, his eyes would strain in the direction the pack's hunters would return. hopefully, they would be back soon with some food. he licked his chops hungrily and gave an irritated flicker of his ears.

Addic lugged back the kill, his harsh gripped locked on the neck of the fragile, and now cold, deer. His claws dug restlessly against the ground, tearing at the ground harshly. His maw slightly upturned, he sniffed in. The wind current changed, and he smelled a familiar scent. He was rather younger then, an adolescent; could be admired, even, when he smelled this scent. It was familiar, but he could not yet put his claw-mark on what it might be. Curiousness bit him all around, and he turned his head, perking up his ears. The shadows engulfed whatever it had to be beyond those bushes, hiding it from his eyes. Finally, he opened up his maw, and shouted out, "Who are you? What do you want? Come out." He said, a tint of both sadness, curiosity, sympathy and empathy edged its way into his words.
Duliue continued on her way, followed along by the rather skinny, older female. She could use some food, as it'd be, to gain her some weight. She narrowed her eyes grumpily along the shadows, the edges of them piercing into nothingness, and unimportance. She flicked her tail, as her pace began to slow. "Where could that brute have ran off to? Did he really have time to get so far away, and make a kill?" She said, it edged a grumble into the words, but it was still held as a solid question. She began to walk faster again, her thoughts were now on how long this would take, and Addic. His scent was now much deeper, and clearly, he was much closer. Then, her ears flipped up into a perk, as she heard something that she wouldn't thought she would hear. She skirted to haul, almost knocking Asuna over from where she had ran behind her. "Did you hear that, Asuna? I think somethings' going on." She said, "do you think we should edge closer before we emerge completely?" She asked, turning her attention to the feminine. She was now sounding less grouchy, but her voice had a tint of confusion in it. Along the lines, she really sounded.. Simply, ready.
Jem now wobbled around in the forest, her pretty fur bouncing off her perfect body as she trotted without a care in the world along the borderlines. Her eyes darted carelessly along each tree, plant, soft bug that flew in the breeze, and she just was in her own little world. She pranced, her tail flicking side to side, as if she was what the world revolved around, and she shouldnt worry, for, "NOTHING" could go wrong. Her ears flicked, and she finally stopped prancing, her thoughts broke. She was dragged out of her fantasy, and back into the real world. She huffed slightly, "Oh, why do I need to be here~! Why cant I be a wolf, in paradise! I deserve it, with my beauty!" She declared to the forest, maybe it really was listening to her, the wind turned another direction at her gentle call. Ha, right. She flicked her ears, and began to trot along more, walking hopelessly along the banks of the river.
A faint shape of a wolf poked over a hill, near the other-side of the packs territory. Heuli, one of the other pack mates the pack kept together, probably found impatience in there ideals, and went hunting himself. He was now roaming around on the out-skirts, still barely into the territory, as he looked for something to bring down. Something small, in which he could bring back to Cigfran, who seemed to grow grumpier by the second. Just, to help along. There, he spotted it, along the faint blue sky, a small shape grazed. No, not a deer, but a small hare. His ears perked, and he instantly dropped into a crouch. The brownish sand colored shape, crawling along the ground, stepped carefully over himself. Each paw landed perfectly placed in-front of each other, as he moved into the clearing. Now close to the rabbit, he kept his tail softly swaying behind himself. His tail swayed gently behind him, and he then leaped into the air, his paws falling slightly short, and the rabbit slammed into a alerting call, as it sprang off on its back legs. Running straight out into the distance, quite quickly, and gone, as soon as can be. He flicked his ears in annoyance with himself, flopping his head onto the soft grass, as he gazed up onto the soft blue sky. He took a deep breath in, gathered himself, and got himself up once more. He began to walk along the hill, sniffing in lots to hope of another scent, one of something he could take down, to help, to help his pack mates which now stood hungry back home.

upon hearing another set of words spoken -- this time, much closer than she would have expected -- the femme ducked down and flattened her ears smooth against her skull. she froze for a moment with a loss for words. 'what... what do I do?' Seren questioned herself, her stare focusing on the dark figure of another wolf hidden behind a thick wall of bushes. would she run, or face the potential threat? however, this wolf seemed the least bit threatening with the tone of voice he had chosen to speak. not to mention, this was again a familiar yet distant voice. the lone wolf's curiosity would eventually get the best of her. "I-I'm..." she stammered with uncertainty, followed by another pause. "Seren." she eventually spoke her name, peering from behind the bushes. "and I'm not threat, believe me... neither do I want anything." Seren spoke softly as a mixture of emotions overwhelmed the young femme, her tone seemed to ring with sadness and hurt. would she be able to bare facing one of her former pack-mates again, after leaving for so long?

[glow=black,2,300]In Character:[/glow] Asuna shook her head. "No. We stay upwind and wait at the edge and observe. If things become dire or if they act suspiciously, then we will act." She barked softly. She approached towards the edge of the more open underbrush, and stayed in the dark thick leaves

Addic narrowed his eyes, the brute didn't recognize her at first. Then, he remembered. His heart broke, as Seren was one who took good care of him, and then she just left. "Seren.. Come closer. It's.. Addic. I want to see you for myself." He said, turning around and lowering his head slightly. It was more or less a want, hinted with a slight demand. Something he clearly wanted dearly.

"Addic..?" the wolf let the familiarity of the name roll off of her tongue with ease, her rounded ears perking from atop of her smooth head. cautious and even ashamed, the fae nodded her head slowly. "I'm not sure if you'd want to..." she replied with a crooked smile, avoiding his stare. she wasn't as plump as she had been before, but it was hardly noticeable beneath her thick multi-coloured coat. but viewed at the right angles, it was clear she was quite thin. giving in to the demand, Seren stepped out to reveal herself. she pushed past the shrubs, stepping in front of the male. much like herself, Addic had changed too. "huh." the wolf tipped her head to one side, observing him up and down. "you've grown since the last time I've seen you." she stated.

(Recap please?)

OOC: riyue has sent asuna out as leader of a hunting patrol with addic and dilieu. after hunting a fawn, addic bumped into the loner (and former pack member) seren. back at camp, cigfran is getting hungry and grumpy so heuli has gone out to catch him something to eat because cigfran kinda sucks at hunting.

Addic narrowed his sharp eyes- "and you have gotten skinnier." He observed, looking her over from tailtip to nose. He sighed, "so why did you leave me?" He asked softly, his being slightly soothed by her presence.

"I didn't mean to leave you, I didn't want to leave you." she replied stiffly, regaining her posture. "the least I wanted to do was hurt anyone, but I had to do this for myself. nothing seemed to just... fit me right. I didn't think I was meant to stay, so I left on my own. and it's not something I regret, either."
Ooc: sorry, short

Addic let out a low rumble in his throat, which bellowed into a loud, loud horrid laugh. "Do you think I can forgive you completely? You hurt me deeply! You could of at least-- told... Told me!" He scorned, "You skinny, and clearly unable to be on your own. Listen, im glad you followed what you wanted to do... But.. Leaving without a word is harsh. You left many wolves in question, and.. Well, I may of been the most of the weakened." He shook his head, "good luck being alone... Seven." He said, turning, grasping his maw around the deer before heart-breaking-ly, and slowly dragging back the skill. His maw seemed to hang low, but not with the weight of the kill. His heart pounded, but the brute got over it soon enough. He just; couldn't care. After all, it was her best choice.

Seren simply blinked in reply. with a loss for words, the wolf didn't dare speak -- afraid she would somehow hurt him again. inside, it felt as if her heart had been shattered. "no, wait." Seren had almost sprinted after the dark wolf, but when she realized she had no more to say, she held her stance and forced her legs still. then, she simply shook her head. "never mind." a gentle sigh escaped the femme's ebony lips. with a flicker of both ears, she swivelled around in the opposite direction. with a glance past her shoulder, she called, "I wish you the best, Addic. and the pack, too." with that said, she simply left.

[glow=black,2,300]In Character:[/glow] "Interesting..." Asuna murmured quietly. So she'd been alive all this time. Smiling, She turned around and went back to camp. "Cmon, we gotta go get Addic so we can have him help pick off some of the injured in the migrating herds." She barked, trotting after the large brute.

Addic huffed, slowly lugging this harsh deer up the hill and almost near the emerging trees. His breath was rough, as he continued his way along the soft grass, lugging the deer.
(SORRY, so short. I need to finish what im doing ><)
[glow=black,2,300]In Character:[/glow] Asuna caught up. "Hey, Wait! Do ya need help dragging that thing? Best to keep up some of your energy. I'm planning on taking you and Duliue to follow the migration path for hunting the deer." She barked, approaching to help lift the deer. She didn't touch it yet, figuring wolves like him could be prideful and stubborn, thus not wanting help.

Addic's ears perked slightly, bouncing gently off her words. His eyes traced himself down, down to lock the deer in the eyes before grunting, and dropping the deer completely. He stood there in silence for a slick of a minute, before beginning to pad off into the distance. His ears were perked, and he was most likely already beginning the way of the deers' path. Critically saying, he could of stayed and helped lug it along, but instead, he left it for you two in expectation of you dragging it back, while he probably goes and hunts all of the deer on his own. What, an, idiot. But, it was not long until the brute was embraced by shadows, covered up by natures second carpet.
In the forest, he was padding around softly under the shade of new-day. When, he slammed into a familiar face. Jem, who was, most likely, yet again; by his expectations, running around like a crazy wolf, and only to gossip on how amazing she looked.
She didn't look that amazing to him.
He grunted, an opened his maw slightly, "your pack is worried about you, yet again Jem. Many wolves doubt your loyalty when you go outside of the main territory thus much, and only you cause us so much distress these days. No one cares on how precious you think you are, just go back to the pack' where you belong." He grunted, pushing past her roughly as he began to walk, soon gobbled up by shadows. He continued on his way, his nose very low to the ground as he traced every piece of grass he came across, keeping his thoughts about them. His scents came none, to him, yet.
Jem trotted happily through the forest, but her thoughts were broke soon by while, she ran into the familiar face; Addic, who as usual gave her a rough, rude time. She couldn't care thought! And, again, began on her way, trotting through the forest, and around offly placed. When she caught an odd scent, her alert seemed to prick in, and she seemed to slowly crawl towards the unfamiliar scent.

Seren had eventually reached the den she had claimed as her own. drawing in a breath, she slipped into the darkness to rest. it was quite a small space, meant to only for herself. however, it had quite a homey and warm feel. the bottom was layered in thick moss and soft feathers, quite comfortable in fact. her eyelids suddenly felt heavy as she laid herself down on her side with her paws tucked neatly into her belly for warmth. slowly, she rested her chin down and drifted off to sleep.
