    Who knew getting out of the house would be such a tedious task? Every five seconds, Rin's mom would ask Rin another question. 'Did you forget this?' 'Do you have that?' It was bothersome.


    After long minutes of making sure everything was secured to the small car, Rin hopped into the driver's seat and sped off towards her best friend's house. It was summer break, and she was going on a long camping trip with Veloce. It was going to be a blast. Hopefully, at least.


    Rin had gotten her driver's license several weeks ago, mainly for the practicality of being able to drive. Now, well, now that was a very convenient thing to have. She was a very cautious driver as well, but was confident in her ability to drive the whole eight hours to the campsite.


    She pulled up next to Veloce's house, leaving he car running as she took several long strides up to the front door, knocking politely in the same signature knock that Veloce had come to recognize and love.


    Ever since the two had made friends at five, they had become inseparable. Even if their personalities differed majorly and Rin was very solidly taller than Veloce, they had stuck together. After several moments of nobody answering, Rin huffed and cracked open the door, her onyx eyes peering around for her energetic friend. "VEL! LET'S GO!" she yelled, voice teasingly impatient. They both knew Rin could and would wait an eternity.[/fancypost][align=center]

    veloce was up in her room still packing her stuff for their camping trip. veloce was always relatively slow when packing compared to her bestfriend, Rin. Mostly because Veloce liked to pack everything she didn't need instead of the things she did. The girl's brown eyes widened at the sound of Rin's voice. "C-coming! Just give me a moment!" she yelled, trying to slam down the suitcase opening so it wouldn't pop open.


    once veloce managed to get her suitcase closed she rushed downstairs to meet her best friend. "Sorry I took so long, Rinny... I just had some... Suitcase issues," Veloce apologized.[/fancypost]

The smile was fond-- this was usual. Veloce had a tendency to pack everything unnecessary that somehow became useful in certain situations. Rin could name a few.


    When her shorter friend's familiar face came into view, Rin still wore the same smile. Taking her hands out of the pockets of her oversized hoodie, she gently removed the suitcase from her partner's grip. She was stronger and the suitcase looked like an obese man that had surely eaten too much in one setting. "I can tell," she quipped, laughing slightly before hefting up the suitcase and slowly walking out towards her car.


    How much had Veloce packed? It felt like Rin was carrying a boulder.

    Tires crunched over gravel slowly as Rin carefully parked in the small, pre-prepared driveway in the forested campsite that she and her best friend would be sharing for the next while. The sun was cresting overhead, giving them plenty of time to set up. She turned off the car, cast a nervous smile at Veloce, and stepped out of the car to begin hauling things off of the top where most of the bags had been strapped down.


    It took a good fifteen minutes to get everything down, even with Veloce's help. Now, well, now the two girls were alone in the woods with a tent to set up. Rin already knew the two would have trouble, but nonetheless began to put the poles together. She expected Veloce to pop in and help, as that was in her energetic personality. She would appreciate the help, even if it wasn't very good.
