"Good to meet you, Lightningstrike. And what is your friend's name?" Flare asked, twitching his tail tip and keeping a calm composure as he stopped purring and instead fixated his eyes on the two cats apparently from the late Starlight Clan. That piqued his interest.

(OOC: I keep leaving out Lilacpetal's response for some reason. Sorry! I've been really busy lately, so I think it's making me a bit scatter-brained XD Also, I may be inactive a lot next week, as that's when my finals start.)
Lilacpetal frowned in concern. No wonder Dustpaw was so tired. Perhaps there was something she could give him to help to calm his mind at night to help him sleep. Placing her tail on his shoulder, Lilacpetal mewed, "I know this feeling may not change overnight, but try to remember that Memory and I will be there to help you. You don't have to do everything on your own," she told him, giving a gentle smile. "As for not sleeping, maybe I could give you some thyme to calm you at night. If that doesn't work, we could try poppy seeds."
Shiro glanced around the Downs, looking at the places Flicker had pointed out to him. He smiled again when he noticed the kits. As Flicker answered his question, Shiro looked over at him. So, the storm that had separated him from his group had also caused problems for others. "You and he seemed to have started a good group," he meowed, gaze sweeping over the Downs again, "I'm sorry the storm caused you all to have to leave your clan."
Tabitha nodded in agreement at Redwing's words. At the question of Poppycloud's other siblings, the she-cat's ears perked curiously. She wondered how many other siblings Poppycloud had back home. It also made Tabitha think of her own brother, Flute, who was in ChristmasClan.
-
Dustpaw nodded. "Thyme should work, though I don't really want to waste anything on something silly like that." He meowed in response. His jaw stretched wide in a long yawn, his ears pressing to his cranium.
Eris' mind reeled a bit. She'd never tried the move without a running start. Guess she'd see how this goes. She jumped up toward the wall, adjusting her movements to become faster, because she didn't have any momentum to keep her on the wall, so as she pushed off, her paws slipped down slightly. It made her jump slightly wobbly, but not anything enough to throw her off. She spun around the moment her paws touched solid ground, kicking up a good amount of dust. She placed her paws on his hips, and tried to roll him to his side.
Timber still was suspicious. "Formally known as Timberfall, also a warrior from StarlightClan." She meowed stiffly. It doesn't matter if neither of us own the territory, you approached us. She thought to herself. She glanced at her best friend, whom she loved, and back at Flare.

OOC: That's ok, Orca. You can resume where you left off with your character, you weren't demoted or anything. Good to have you back. :)
IC: Brittleleaf technically would've rolled onto his side of he wasn't so much bigger than Eris, but regardless he ended up nearly falling on one side. He had to lash his tail about to regain his balance, then whipped around to face Eris before purring, his eyes gleaming. "Very good, Eris! If I was any smaller, you would've had me down." He said.
"It got more complicated than I'd care to admit. We still don't have all the answers." Flicker said, keeping himself perky despite getting anxious about thinking back to what had happened in the storm. "On a different note, not far from there is the conscript's den; then in a more private area not too far from the entrance is the elder's den." He said, pointing out the dens as he walked by Shiro.
"How nice! So, is StarlightClan no more?" Flare asked, bushing out his pelt and beginning to show some of his actual pelt color underneath all the ashes. "No need to be shy, I know a Clan or two that has fallen under circumstances."

Lilacpetal shook her head, noticing Dustpaw's yawn, "I think we can spare it. If you think it may help you, then you can take some." They'd need Dustpaw in top shape if anything happened, but also she wanted her apprentice to be okay.
Shiro nodded, frowning thoughtfully. It was hard not to be curious about what had all happened, but Shiro allowed the direction of the conversation to shift. He didn't want to make Flicker talk about something that made him uncomfortable. The white tom's dark eyes scanned the Downs, taking in the areas Flicker pointed out to him. "You guys have set up a good camp here," he meowed with a nod.
-
"We like to think so." Flicker said good-naturedly, not to be prideful or anything. "At least now we won't have to worry about storms anymore. In our old camp, we were hit with a whiteout during leaf bare, then that awful storm during early green leaf that separated you from your own group. This scar on my flank is from the whiteout." He said, making a small gesture toward the hollow scarring in his flank.
-
Timber nodded. "You are correct." Her mew was curt and she still wasn't trusting of him. "Why are you so filthy?" She added, her ear twitching.
Dustpaw nodded. "Alright. I'll take some tonight." He meowed. He didn't want to take anything now, since he'd be up all night and his sleep schedule would be messed up.
Eris beamed. "Thanks!" She squeaked happily. Her tail lashed in excitement. She did something right for once!
-
Shiro glanced down at the scar, frowning slightly. That wound had to be painful, and likely very life-threatening considering the scar’s size. It was a good thing Flicker has survived. "Sounds like your group has seen a lot of bad storms. I couldn't imagine how bad the whiteout must have been. I'm glad we don't have to worry about storms like that here."
Lilacpetal nodded, smiling a bit, "Alright then. I hope it will help you get some rest." Dustpaw clearly needed a good night's rest.
-
Dustpaw nodded gratefully to his mentor, truly glad that someone cared for him. He didn't even remember his mother's voice, and barely what she looked like, let alone his brothers. So it was nice, to be cared for instead of caring for once.
-
Flicker purred a moment, but it lasted only briefly as memories of losing Puddledrop flashed in his mind. "I'm glad we don't have to worry about it either. The storms here can be just horrific." He said, tasting the icy air and reminding himself that soon he would need to visit the Moon Icicle again, purely for his own sake.
"Ok, now we'll try one more move, then we can head on back to the Downs for the evening. This time, we'll practice a hunting crouch, so that tomorrow you can put it to use." Brittleleaf said, glad to see his apprentice so happy about getting the move right. "Ok, copy me." He said, demonstrating the basic hunting crouch and creeping forward before pouncing on a rock.
"I prefer not to be noticed or followed. I choose to erase my scent rather than have it be so blatantly obvious when I go through different territories." Flare said, scraping some ash out of his fur as he spoke. "So, where are you two headed? Or were you two simply exploring for the day?"
-
Timber hummed a tad. "We're hoping to find a clan to join." She mewed.
//rushed sorry
-
"A Clan? If you keep heading north, there's a Clan that way. I don't think they'll be around much longer..and there's another group that lives on the coast, which is one I've been keeping an eye on for a little bit because I'm interested." Flare said, kneading his claws into the ground as he said that.
-
Lightning was uneasy with the rogue. What did he mean that the clan to the north wouldn't be around much longer? It was puzzling to the black and white tom. "Thank you for telling us." He said attempting to be at least polite with the stranger. The golden eyed tom remained wary, however.
-
"Glad to be informative." Flare said, dipping his head to the two before getting himself back to his paws. "I do wish you both luck, and whichever Clan or group you pay a visit to, if you so choose, let them know that time is short...just a request, nothing more."
-
"You can say that again," Shiro meowed, nodding in agreement. He glanced around the Downs again. "I think this will be a good place to live," he added, looking back to Shiro. "It seems safe here." And everyone he had met so far was nice.
Lilacpetal smiled back at Dustpaw. "If you feel up to it, perhaps we can go out and collect a few herbs. I'd like to get some more catmint before greenleaf ends. And maybe some tansy and feverfew too." She wanted to be prepared for colder weather.
-
Lightning gave the rogue a smile. "Thanks, I'll be sure to." He hoped it covered his uneases within. What the heck? "What do you think he means by 'not a long time?'" He said, turning to Timber and flicking his black and white tail from side to side.
-
Flare skirted off as soon as he finished speaking with Timber and Lightning, his tail lashing after he went out of sight. He had plenty of time, but he was tired of waiting, and tired of merely spying and scoping out what he could.
"It's much safer than our old home we used to have in the forest." Flicker said, his gaze brightening. "At least here we don't have to fear any of the bad storms that like to hit the coast around this area." After he said that, he stole a glance at the entrance, knowing that once the last patrol came back and everyone got settled, the ceremonies would begin.
-
Shiro nodded in agreement. "That an with it being right at the coast, there are less borders check I imagine," he meowed, following Flicker's gaze towards the entrance. He remembered the patrol that had found him and wondered when they'd be back.
Tabitha led the way to the western border, ears perking. She could pick up on the scents of their markers, which told her they were close. Glancing up at the sky, she realized that they'd have to get back soon. Reaching the border, she remarked the first marker she found.
