Intelligence despite what he tells himself, java is a surprisingly smart individual although he may not show it at times. he's terribly clumsy and can be prone to accidents and having fits of anxiety and panic, but underneath the things that, quote on quote, "define him" he has a rich, extensive knowledge on some things. not math or history or most things of the sort, but he is quite fond of astronomy, philosophy, herb / plant knowledge, and almost everything about every kind of birds, as he has an affinity for them despite fearing very high heights.
street smart or book smart? a bit of both, more so street smart in all honesty. he may have extensive knowledge on some topics, but not too many, and is actually quick on his feet and surprisingly strong despite his figure.

[justify]javabean was born in new spain, referred to as the dominion at the time, to an unknown female and his father, finnishwars. he was left alone at an early age, getting his own room quite quickly due to the fact he didn't like other's company. he stayed with his siblings, ripplekit and onion, for a moon before receiving a room of his own, which he basically resided in for three whole moons by himself, not counting when he somehow convinced himself to go get food before he starved himself to death. finally he worked up enough courage on his fourth moon of life to go out and interact with the rest of his clanmates. early on he paid witness to many murders of innocent clanmates by bloodclan, blizzardclan and the exiles alike, which is what fuels his hatred towards those clans today. one murder he witnessed got him in trouble with his father and the vice leader, which lead to his first memorable interaction with the male which was short lived. he just recalls being scared. other then that, his time in the dominion is a blur of fighting and various spats and battles with bloodclan. his hatred for that specific clan really blossomed then, as they'd constantly trash the territory and act as if they were above java and his clanmates. though in between these wars, weaved between the lines he made friends. ones he'll never forget. such as his half sister, balletslippers, who was honestly one of the most important paternal figures in his kithood after getting over his fear for her. another two were richpaw and alkibiades, who he still cares for deeply despite leaving. he believes richpaw is deceased due to never finding out the boy had possessed a new body after his original had been killed off, and has no clue whatever happened to alki. starpaw was another, as she was one of his first friends and he also found her as a newborn kit on the border after her family was slaughtered by humans. kisa and hiro, the twins, each played a role in his life. kisa a better one, and hiro as his first enemy. renato... was the last one to see him depart new spain, and was the one who healed him after he attempted to hang himself. he regarded the cub as a younger brother. after attempting to kill himself due to seeing one of his best friend's carcasses he fled new spain to become a loner for a week or two, in which he hardly ate or slept not that he does either of those things regularly, before he resided in hogwarts for a little while. he didn't make any notable friends there before fleeing once again and soon after joining lithiumclan. in lithiumclan, he truly feels as if he belongs there, something he never felt sure of in the dominion / new spain. he enjoys the clan members and the generally warm setting, though at times things do seem a bit off around the place. he particularly enjoys devlin's company, and is a bit put off / creeped out by a she-cat named biyoka.
