    There was a bad storm where the calf and mother had been. The calf, no able to reach her mother, was swept down the river. Eventually, despite her mothers attempts to reach her, she was swept out of the herd and down the river. Soon, thanks to luck, the battered and bruzed calf ended up in a shallow stream, far from her herd and frightened. "Momma! Momma!" She cried out. No voice reach back as she stood in the shallow water. The tiny baby looked about with sad eyes. Where was she? Where was her mom? Her herd? She let out a wail as she sat, plop, in the water.
