  • "Well no one can think pn an empty stomach, I vote food. Gotta keep your strength up." Oakly put in noticing he was getting a little famished.

  • Tyra looked away from the sandbender in her face. "II won't cause the Avatar any harm. Please just leave me alone..." She spotted Aero, shivering slightly. She knew he would notice her presence and probably be angered.

  • "You're smart, I will give you that, Spirit. I'm surprised the Avatar hasn't noticed you yet." he whispered, clicking the pieces together. "Your secret is safe with me. Although I do want to ask a favor." at the mention of food, Garu looked away from Tyra and towards Oakly. Garu was starving, but didn't mention he had no money. besides, he was a sandbender. From a young age, Sandbender tribesmen and -women were taught how to survive on very little. Food, water, anything. at least, in his tribe they were.

  • Tyra narrowed her eyes slightly. "What is this... Favor?" She asked, her voice becoming less hoarse the more she spoke. She was suspicious, but thankful for his silence. She heard the mention of food and her stomach grumbled. She couldn't remember the last time she had had a good meal, but kept her mouth shut.

  • "I want you to help me practice." Garu suggested. "I use Seismic sense to keep a good eye on my surroundings." he explained, "Sadly, spirits don't exactly make large waves like humans and animals. they're very subtle, and I haven't been able to pick up on them yet. I would like you to help me refine my sense, help me to see spirits."

  • Tyra became confused. "Perhaps you can see me better because-" she stopped abruptly. She looked down to the side, then looked at the Sandbender, the slightest hint of fear and hesitation in her eyes. She cleared her throat, crossed her arms and examined him. "What would I get in return if I helped you?" Besides having someone who didn't automatically hate her, she wasn't sure what he was getting at. She wanted to. She already knew she would accept, but she would milk this a little for more than just companionship.

  • "I don't know." Garu shrugged. "what do you want?" Garu asked as he began moving forward. From now on, he would stop calling her a spirit, partly to keep her secret, partly to convince her she might be somewhat human; it was obvious she was trying to look like a human, since she looked like one. "I can try to teach bending, if you desire."

  • Tyra shook her head. "I cannot bend. I have tried." She walked with him, thinking about what she may want from this boy. She kept up, thinking of everything she could want. She looked at the others, then looked at him, a thought coming to her mind. "Perhaps... You could help me find... A home..." She whispered softly. "I'm... Different from other Spirits..." She settled on saying. "I'm neither accepted not tolerated by spirits nor humans."

to anybody who was watching Garu, it seemed as if he had missed a step. "Ye-Yeah, I'll see what I can do." The sandbender breathed in heavily, and moved forward, up towards the Avatar, nodding his consent with the idea of lunch.
(I don't know why, but I can see Tyra and Garu settling down and having kids together. XD)
