Name: Talia
Age:Early adulthood
Species:Sergal (from Southerner roots)
Personality: Mute, but only in that she doesn't talk. She likes to make noises, anything from purrs to chirps. She's very curious and loves to learn. She's very distrustful.
History: She was born from one of the last few living sergals in a laboratory where most of her kind were forced to live out their life. Her mother passed away and her father killed. She grew up alone and therefore grew mute and very distrusting of the humans. For good behavior, she's a better regarded animal and is given her own large room, nest, and food and water several times a day... She's treated almost The Best... But still not good. She dreams to leave one day and join one of the last small groups living in the wild. -
Do you want me to start or you?
-
Can you start dear? They can start off in the lab...maybe they introduce the two to maybe plan to breed them in the future... But they may not know it, or he can. Idk. You'll think of something good I'm sure :)
-
The robotic arm took off Cell's muzzle causing him to flinch at first from the tightness of it but soon get over it. The room he was in was way too large to be an evaluation room. That could only mean that the scientists were expecting him to either fight another test subject or meet one. He narrowed his orange eyes at the door waiting for the newcomer ever so quietly.
-
Talia tried to listen to strange human talk, her head tilting in confusion. She caught on to most of their language... But barely. Something was happening. Something different. Someone coming here? She shook her head and moved back to her large nest in the back of the room, the uneven floors and fake plants and open sand boxes and a large tub all filling the room, trying to resemble some sort of habitat. She sniffed lightly as the door opened, her bright blue eyes blinking in surprise as she caught scent of something... Like her. She slid forward, bounding along the room to catch sight of the newcomer. She hissed lowly, her ears pinning back. She stood up, her tail flicking as she tilted her head. What was this supposed to be... Why would they bring him here?
-
Cell knew he had to keep his dominance so he stood on his legs and growled. They want me fight this...this.... he thought only to have it interrupted upon seeing her. "Your....what are you doing here?" he asked keeping himself to look somewhat calm when really his heart was both happy and relieved that he wasn't the only one.
-
Talia blinked and bounded up to him, hopping on her large feet like a kangaroo. She sniffed him before growling, fluffing up her fur. She wouldn't let this male come into her territory and think he was the top. She pressed her maw into his cheek in a greeting, showing her acceptance before tilting her head, chirping. Still, she was mute...
-
Cell blushed a bit while cocking his head. "Why do you not speak?" he asked in a softer tone. The female does not seem to be a threat...still, it would be good to keep my guard up... He then got down into a squatting position.
-
Talia blinked and touched her mouth before frowning, letting out a whine. She sat in front of him like a dog, waving her tail as she put her paw out to his. She tilted her head, smiling softly.
-
This must be a test...it has to be! Cell pulled back shyly a bit. "Could you at least tell me your name then?"
(Short one) -
Talia smiled and pawed at him, bounding around him as if inspecting him." Talia... Yours?" She muttered in a smooth, sweet voice, stooping in front of him. She stood up and wiggled her tail, tilting her head.
-
"Cell..." he said calmly. He took a step back from the female Sergal. Cell never did liked to be touched. Even when he was wild, in his pack, he wouldn't let others touch him. "Your.....your not with the scientists are you? Can I trust you?"
-
Talia's ear flicked at his name. It was nice. Cute. She shook her head and motioned for him to follow as she walked through the uneven terrain to get to her nest." No... They killed my family. You're here... Why?" She spoke softly again, barely above a whisper. She was so confused... She hadn't seen another of her kind since her mother and father died.
-
"They captured me from the outside.... Those bastards....took my freedom from me...." he growled sitting at the edge of her nest. "I....I want to be free again Talia...." Cell trailed off looking away. He couldn't imagine spending the rest of his young adulthood here in this wretched place.
-
Talia frowned and nodded," I understand... I've dreamed of the outside... I want it too." She smiled and moved to sit closer to him, still mystified to be in his presence. But why did they send him here? She chirped and bounded up to the windows, picking up an old paper and pen, writing the human word... One of which they taught her... On it before sticking it up. 'Why?' It said. She went back to him," I'm confused... Why are you here? Do you know?"
-
Cell shook his head. "I don't know....I guess they just want us to socialize.....considering the fact that we're both the same species....and opposite genders....and...and...." His eyes widened realizing what they truly put him there for. "I think they want us to...uh..."
-
"Mate...." he finished quietly while blushing heavily.
-
Talia nodded as she listened. It made sense. They would put two females or two males together if they wanted a fight... But two opposite genders could also fight. She blinked, her ear flicking as she glanced at him." M-mate? What..." She stumbled back away from him, baring her teeth as she growled." You probably knew all along." She squeaked as she hit a wall. Her heat cycle was regular now that she was older... Her body urging her to find a mate and finally reproduce. And it would come soon enough. She shook her head quickly," No. I won't. Not after what they did to my parents... This is no place for... For pups... For even love."
-
"I was only caught a week ago, besides, I can't even understand what those stupid humans even say....." Cell looked away. "But to be honest, love can happen anywhere...it's the one thing that can never be prevented nor avoided....somethings bound to happen y'know?" She seems somewhat hostile to mating....I understand that we just met and she probably doesn't want to do that, but why doesn't she bring that up?
