"they have a small boat trailing behind the ship." luke stated, his light blue eyes trailing over to her. he quietly looked down at the ladder, and let go of her hand before he started climbing down the wooden ladder that had been sprayed with the salt water multiple times. he eventually reached the water, digging his fingers into the side of the wood as he managed to get to the small ship. he climbed inside, a very strong shiver coming from him as he once fell into the small row boat.

luke picked up the oars, listening to rowena speak before he started rowing. he could see the upcoming storm, maybe rowing a bit faster than he normally would, not wanting to get caught in the vicious weather. he could already tell that it was going to be bad, from the way the sea rocked, and the wind picking up. he made sure to keep his eyes on rowena, not wanting to lose her.

luke pushed the boat into the cave once he got out, not wanting to lose it in the storm. he looked over at rowena, noticing that she seemed exhausted. "are you okay?" he asked as he approached her, a small look of concern on his face. she should've gotten in the boat with him, and he was now criticizing himself for not making her do so.

I giggled and cooed as a few flew around me, knowing I had a natural kindling for animals. I smiled as a few flew down to Lucas, looking up at him with curiosity. luke watched rowena for a moment, a warm smile on his lips until he spotted the bats flying around him. he looked back at them, his nose scrunched up slightly. he didn't really like bats, never had, but he had always found them interesting. he glanced over at rowena, gazing at her quietly. she seemed bright, almost gleaming with happiness, and couldn't help but to hope that he was one of the reasons why.
