    luke backed away from her more, completely defying her request of sitting down. "don't tell me what to do, you have no right to do so." he snapped out at her, his nose scrunching up in pure anger. "oh, you're sorry? great, everything's solved now, that makes my father's murder completely fine!" he grabbed at his hair, trying to stop the searing pain coming to his head. he stumbled around more, his vision becoming blurred with black spots appearing as he gasped out, dropping to the ground as he became short of breath.
    he didn't even feel the rocks slicing his hand on the rocks underneath of him, all he could focus on was the fact that his father hadn't just died, it was an actual murder. from a mermaid, of all things. he eventually gained his normal sight back, though it still took his longer to gain his breath back. his normally bright eyes stared down at the sand, a sorrow filled expression appearing on his face.

I would've done the same thing and I'm fairly sure you would've too." I barked, losing my cool. I clenched my jaw and my hands balled into fists. I was done apologizing.     luke shook his head as he pulled his hands out from underneath of him, looking at his cut up palms. his bottom lip quivered for a moment, but he soon chomped down on his cheek, not wanting her to see this side of him. he tried the grab at his shirt, to rip off strips to wrap around his hand to stop his bleeding, but he suddenly hissed in pain as the salt water soaked material reached his open wounds. he just gave up, looking at the nearly midnight black ocean in front of them.
    he looked over at her quietly, looking a lot older than twenty one in that moment. "just leave. let me be harmed for letting you go. you've done your job of saving me, now it's time for you to live the rest of your life with your family." he have no hint of anger in his voice anymore, it was completely emotionless. he looked away from her again, looking down at the light sand. "captain blackbeard isn't aware of where your family lives. if you go now he won't find out, and you can live peacefully without having to watch over me anymore. i'm sorry that you've wasted your last twenty one years on me."

I looked back at him and bit my lip hard. [b]"No." I said, leaning down, picking him up and sitting him on the rock. I brushed the hair out of his face and crouched before him. I closed my eyes, setting my hands on his. I focused my energy on him and a golden light emitted from my palms. I opened my eyes a few moments later and moved my hands from his, showing his palms were now healed. [/fancypost][align=center]

    luke looked at rowena, a small smile showing up on his lips as he looked down at his hands. "i'm not letting you sacrifice yourself." he told her suddenly, remembering the fact that that was the only reason she had stayed earlier. "i think it's best you leave now." he told her quietly, looking down at his hands again for a second. he couldn't bare to see her murder, and didn't even want to imagine what else blackbeard would do to her. he had been told horror stories about blackbeard eating them, taking them to towns for amusement, even going as far as raping them before killing them. he had heard the all tales, but suddenly it hit him that the stories he heard probably weren't myths.
    his throat tightened for a moment, before he looked into her bright eyes once more. "you shouldn't be helping me," he sighed out. "i'm the one that was just screaming at you because of wrongly accusing you about my father. you need to go back to your family, rowena." that was the first time he had spoken her name out loud, and he blinked as he realized the name sounded so right as it fell from his lips.

"I can protect myself.. I'll be fine." I said, not knowing if I was trying to convince him or myself. I exhaled and grabbed the rope, handing it to him. "Tie me back up. They need to think you aren't sided with me." I said softly, my breathing low and slow as I looked deeply into his eyes, my eyes full of uncertainty and worry for Lucas.[/fancypost][align=center]

    luke looked up at rowena, swallowing nervously before he took the rope from her. he looked at it in his hands, then looked at his completely healed palms. he quietly started tying her up again, eventually finishing with the rope a little looser compared to whoever had tied the rope earlier. he gently brushed his thumb over the red mark from the rope of her left wrist. he looked back up at her again, then quietly stood up to his 6'2 stature. "he's most likely excepting your father to be here in the morning," he told her softly, trying to give her as many details she needed about blackbeard.
    "it'll be later in the day, due to the fact that they've all had more to drink than i have, and captain blackbeard can't stand hangovers." he thought for a moment, before speaking up again, "i can try to distract him when he realizes your father isn't here, by saying something about it needing to be later to bring the ransom." he was just talking to talk, not wanting to face the silence for now. it was easy to see in moments like this where he was almost a carbon copy of his father. when in stressful situations, his father would always talk out the problems until he could reach the best decision.

    "i'll try to stay near you," luke explained to her, a small sigh blowing out from his lips. he gently rested a hand on her back as he started walking back towards the anchored ship. once they got closer he gripped the rope, falling into the role of the the hateful seaman. as he strode onto the large ship, looking at the captain for a moment.
    "captain, how about you say we throw her in a cage?" luke called out, a dangerous smirk on his lips. "tease the king a little bit more, aye?" he chuckled as he looked down at rowena, his blue eyes showing how much he hated this. "that'll make the kill a lot more fun." he looked back up at blackbeard, looking more like a pirate instead of the man who was quickly falling in love with a mermaid.

Blackbeard smirked with an evil look of lust in his eyes. My heart stopped and I felt the anger anf hate build inside of me. I snarled and yanked my face away from his grasp and Blackbeard and the crew just laughed. "Or maybe I should let the crew have their turn with the beautiful mermaid princess!" Blackbeard laughed and the crew cheered. I exhaled shakily. I looked at Luke with pleading eyes, finding it hard to breathe.[/fancypost][align=center]

    luke listened to the crew cheer, and he has to force himself to stop from just running away with rowena. "he might back out if he sees his perfect little daughter all beat up. plus, she's the scum of the sea, i think the cage will fit her perfectly." he smirked as he looked at the captain, holding back the hateful glares that he wished he could give all of the disgusting men. he tightened his hand on the rope, his nose flaring slightly.

I began to panic and hyperventilate, tears in my bright eyes. I looked at Lucas in a panic. "Don't let them, please." I mouthed to him, almost breaking down into sobs. My lip quivered and one of the crew members grabbed for the rope, smirking and his eyes filled with a disgusting look of lust.     "you mean you all like something used?" luke suddenly spoke out, stepping in front of rowena a bit, sending a glare to the sailor who got near her. "while all of you were up here having a great time, i couldn't help myself. we had a little fun ourselves, and i clearly wasn't the first one she had taken." he wanted to gag, he couldn't imagine doing such a thing without permission, but he was desperately trying to make the men not want her. "she was too willing, practically jumping on me. none of you want her, trust me."

Blackbeard laughed as he grabbed my waist, pulling my body against his and I groaned in disgust. "I know I don't." Blackbeard purred, the stench of alcohol on his breath making me gag and I felt my body shaking as I began to panic. I screamed, making all the sailors drop to the ground, covering their ears in pain. Blackbeard snarled and slapped me, making me fall to the ground. I exhaled and looked up at him with hateful eyes and he spit on me. I snarled and launched at him. Before I could, another sailor grabbed me and held me back as I kicked and screamed. "Put her in the cage." Blackbeard snarled and I barked as I was dragged off, being pulled under the deck and thrown into the dungeon.[/fancypost][align=center]

    luke gasped in pain and immediately dropped to the ground at the sound of her scream, his eyes losing sight for a moment as he tried to stop listening. once she was down in the dungeon he got up slowly, pulling his hands away his ears to see some blood on his fingers. his nose scrunched up in pain, but instead just wiped off the blood and looking indifferent again.
    eventually the festivities began again, which he played along with for a few minutes before he snuck under the deck, heading down silently until he reached the dungeon. he sighed in relief as he saw no one around, and that she looked pretty much unharmed. "i'm sorry about saying such things about you, i would never." he told her quietly, sitting down in front of her cell, to talk to her and such.

I was still getting used to having legs. I looked at him, clenching my jaw. My cheek was still stinging in pain from Blackbeard's slap. I bit the inside of my cheek. [b]"I know you didn't mean it. You were just trying to protect me." I said with a small smile. I looked down with a soft exhale. "What do you think they are going to do when they find out my father isn't coming?" "i'm also sorry that i got you into this mess." he knew that it was part of her decision also, but he couldn't help but to feel like the guilty party.

My eyes met his and my heart skipped a beat as my hand touched his gently, no matter how fleeting the moment. I pulled my hand back quickly, biting my lip and looking down. "I chose to save you.     luke looked at her hand for a moment, his eyes wide for a moment. he had gotten a rush of the feeling home, which made him just want to reach for her hand again. he did so quietly, gently resting his hand over her hand on her side of the bars. it was barely even a touch, he was quite gentle, and to must it would almost tickle, in a way.
    "i am the one that was standing near the edge, i should've known better, even with being slightly impaired." really, he had been drinking away the pain of his illness, having felt his eyesight going a little more than morning. he didn't feel comfortable with drinking while he was working, so instead he just waited and made sure that it was an appropriate time when he found some alcohol.
