PLOT:
Karmin is reclusive girl who likes to take long walks in the middle of the night. Usually she does this after having a nightmare. The only thing that can calm her after one of her nightmares is to run. Her favourite dreams are just of her running through the woods, the plants whizzing by, racing the deer.
Little does she know that her dreams might become reality very soon.
She has just started university (college if you'd prefer), and is living on her own off campus.
Little does she know that a number of classes have a pack of werewolves in it. Not all of them, and not all in the same courses, but here and there. She's bumped into them a few times, running late for class, but never gotten to know them. And definitely not the real them.
But their Alpha has noticed her. Specifically her scent walking dangerously close to the border of their territory and another pack's in the urban jungle of the university town. He watches her closely as she goes out for these midnight walks of her's, posing as a feral dog to avoid any suspiciousness.
When the rival pack suddenly attacks her, thinking she is part of his pack because of his strong scent around her, he must save her life the only way he knows how to.

IC - Karmin woke up with a fright again that night. Damn, she thought. Another nightmare. But this one was worse than the others. It had all begun with the snapping of teeth in her face, but slowly the dream had lengthened and she had begun to have worse and worse terrors thrust on her. Now there was even flesh and muscle torn from bones as she laid writhing in agony and fear in her nightmare.
Pushing herself up to stand beside her bed, she pulled on some pyjama pants and a jacket went over her tee-shirt. A walk was the only cure for this. She was happy she didn't live in a colder climate, especially as December came to a start. No snow in this warm part of the country. It made it bearable to continue this seemingly childish habit as she got older. But it didn't help her sleep, especially when she needed as much as she could get before class in the morning.
Silly girl, she had signed up for the morning course at 8 am sharp. At least she wasn't late every time, unlike some others. Specifically those guys that sat outside the class, and only ever came in if they were really bored.
Stepping outside, she headed down the quiet neighbourhood street, heading towards the park and the small forested area beside it. It was a route that she had taken so many times that there was a slight path already worn in the undergrowth.
