I had actually managed to get the main female lead, Bell. The play was Beauty and the Beast, it was one of my favorite movies and I was happy that we were turning it into a play. I glanced at the male lead to see who would be playing Prince Adam, or the Beast as most people knew him. I was excited to see who I would be leading with, well, I was excited until I saw the name.


    Kaden Jai. He was the star of the football team and the head cheerleader's girlfriend. He was considered too "cool" for the school play. It made me angry that some loser like him got the lead, I don't even remember him trying out. I let out a huff as I turned away from the sheet of paper and into the auditorium for rehearsal. I noticed Kaden and I stalked up to him."What are you doing here?"I asked with a scowl, clearly annoyed by his presence.

I stood off to the side, nervously reading through my script. I guess I could act some what, I was pretty good at coming up with excuses. But singing I wasn't so sure. I wasn't ready to be thrown into a play, much less the lead role.


    I sighed as I played with the edges of my script, tiny peices falling to the ground like snow. Suddenly I was snapped out of my trance as a fierce looking girl bolted over to where I stood. I scowled at her, not in the mood to deal with angry people. "I'm obviously going to be playing the Beast. Why wouldn't I be here?"

You aren't an actor, just some jock."I said angrily. My blue eyes darting over to Liam, our stage manager who seemed simply shrugged. Everyone seemed confused as to why Kaden was here and I could clearly see that Kaden didn't want to be here. I backed off as I let out a quiet sigh."Just...take it seriously, okay? This may not be important to you, but it is to everyone else."I told him as I went over to sit next to Liam. He was my best friend, there were only about 15 of us in this class and only a few of them I was actually friends with.


    I'm very passionate about the things I do, though Liam thinks that I take it over the top. I wanna be on Broadway when I get out of school, so I need to start getting a good rap when it comes to acting and singing. I hated the fact that Kaden was the male lead since that meant we would be spending a of time together working on our lines."This sucks..."I muttered, looking over to Gavin. He was the guy who was suppose to get the lead and also the guy that I was currently crushing on. Bell and Adam kiss twice at the end, but now I'll have to kiss Kaden.

It was bad enough that I actually had to act but now the female lead role didn't like me! I gathered my supplies in my arms and sat a couple seats from the others. It was different to be the outcast and I placed my head in my hands. This was going to be a long year.


    Liam stood at the front of the stage, the scripted clutched in his hand. He looked excited but he always looked like that. Smiling at the crowd, he waved his hand over the mass of students. "Welcome to Beauty and the Beast. Today is the first day of practice. We will first start with Margo, who is playing Belle, walking down the street to the bookstore." I yawned ruffling through my script. Why couldn't I have been a plant?

I always hated how the jocks made everyone feel like outcasts, but I was doing the same to him. I let out a soft sigh and walked over, taking a seat next to him. I didn't say anything before smiling when Liam started the rehearsal. I stood up and walked to the stage, I sang and acted my part to the best of my ability. My blue eyes switching over to Kaden. He wouldn't get to do much today since his first scene is ten minutes into the play when he finds Belle's father in his home.


    I walked over to Liam."I want to work with him on his acting. I don't want him to look bad infront of all those humans."This stage was my sanctuary and I didn't want Kaden thinking that it was a bad thing. I did feel a little blush come to my face when I realized that I would have to kiss him in the last scene. I didn't really know how I was suppose to feel about all of that.
