Jay unholstered his revolver and aimed it between the girl's eyes. "Not one step." He said, pulling back the hammer.

Erin bared her teeth with a spark of animosity in her gaze. "Just f▪cking lea-" She spun around just as the girl noticed the people. She didn't have a gun, and the bow slung across her shoulders was nothing for quick arming. It was her and her machetes.
She became a stone as the standoff began beside her. This was ridiculous. Children playing with guns. -
Jay approached slowly, training his eye on the girl with the gun more than the one with the machetes. "I'm just looking for supplies. I don't want any trouble."

No, not here. All of her stores were here. If they took them away, she'd be done for.
Despite her disadvantage, she blocked the doorway, eyes narrowed. "Nobody is going in here. Now f▪ck off." -
Jay trained the ironsights on her for half a second and then sighed. "Never could bring myself to shoot a living being." Jay said, holstering the gun. "But I do need help. I can't survive off of whatever I've got left in my canteen and half a bag of chips. Do you think you can help in some way? Point me to a gas station or general store nearby?"

Erin's heart skipped a beat when the gun pointed to her, but her confidence resurfaced as soon as it was put away. "There's nothing." She said quickly, nearly interrupting the boy. "You'll need to find your own supplies."

Jay sighed. "D*mn." He said, walking on without a word. It wasn't his place to take others' supplies, so he just moved himself along.
