WhitePetal walked warily through the thick undergrowth, her eyes wide for any potential dangers. She had heard of StormClan before in her previous clan(who had now perished into ash) stories and was now determined to join it. Although she didn't know much about it, WhitePetal hoped she could be accepted.
The brown and white young she-cat stopped at the edge of a marked border. Excitement rose in her stomach. Could this be the StormClan she's searched for many moons territory?

//Hey, it's Kotek :3
N had been drawn to the border whilst exploring the territory. He had only arrived in StormClan the day prior, so he didn't know the area all that well yet. He hadn't been expecting to meet someone, though. Especially someone who wasn't from the clan. Adjusting the pouch that held the obsidian-like egg, which he kept close to him at all times, he decided to investigate. He found it difficult to relate with the StormClanners, and had trouble interacting with them, but if the feline he scented had come to join then he'd have something in common with them -- they're both newcomers. Indeed, he weighed the chances of making a good acquaintance in the encounter and liked the outcome. The green fox then cleared his mind as the unfamiliar cat came into view. "Hello," he called over to her, his voice low and gentle. "Are you here to join, by chance?"

[ I see you have another account 8) ]
The she-cats hackles began to rise at the sight of the fox. In fact, a greenfox. However, his words made it quite obvious he was part of the clan. Shifting her paws nervously, WhitePetal nodded slightly. "Yes, yes I am,"she meowed, dipping her head in respect.
Her tail flicked nervously behind her, this was her first time talking to a fox, especially since they were usual enemies. -

//Yep, I have six or seven sub accounts I RP with. XD I don't do much RPing on my main.
He chuckled lightly at the nervous respect the female was displaying. "Oh, you needn't be so formal," he insisted as a warm smile graced his pale green features. N noticed the slight raising of her hackles and the flicking of her tail, tell-tale signs of hostility or anxiety. He felt a bit bad that he was intimidating her, but he supposed it couldn't be helped. There were lots of non-feline creatures in the bigger clans, but perhaps the place this she-cat came from wasn't used to seeing those they typically thought of as enemies as friends instead. He could see how a fox would be frightening to someone like that. "Sorry if I frighten you. I'm N. Welcome to StormClan," he greeted her, a cheerful tone in his voice. He dipped his head in return, the black and white baseball cap he sported hiding his face as he did so. It once again revealed his grey eyes when he lifted his head again. "And you are?"
-
Her hackles relaxed slightly as he gave a small chuckle, a warm smile appearing on his face. Maybe he ain't so bad after all, WhitePetal thought. WhitePetal's previous clan had all cats and any sign of foxes and/or badgers were taught to them as enemies. However, her determination to be in StormClan was strong.
She shook her head as he apologized. "I'm the one to be sorry,"WhitePetal meowed. But thank you for accepting me, N."The she-cat gave him a nod of honor, suddenly remembering when the fox asked for her name. "And my names WhitePetal!"She answered, the fear washing out from her body as comfort came in. -

He was pleased to see her relax. After all, he wanted to make a good impression. "WhitePetal..." He echoed thoughtfully. That sounded like a typical clan name, much unlike his own name. N was a bizarre name, wasn't it? It would probably be more natural sounding to go by his full name, but he vastly preferred simply being called 'N'. "That's a nice name," he concluded. "It's nice to meet you." Then he gestured behind him with his muzzle. "The camp is in this direction. Would you like me to lead you, or would you rather go alone?" he queried, head tilted. He could tell the female had accepted him as an ally rather than a threat, but it still wouldn't surprise him if she preferred to find her way around alone. He knew that's what he'd want, after all, but that was simply because he had the personality of a loner.
-
She dipped her head once again."To you as well."WhitePetal's ears pricked at the mention of 'camp', excitement springing inside her again.
Shakily, WhitePetal shook her head. "I think I'll be fine,"she purred lightly. "Is it far though?"Her paws were stiff and tired, but the determined she-cat refused to show it. I bet they don't accept weaklings,WhitePetal thought bitterly. The she-cat realized she had yet to step into her new clans territory. Inhaling deeply, she nervously put a paw in the marked territory, glancing at N. Subconsciously, her hackles raised but WhitePetal was too focused of her new environment. I guess I'm calling this home now... -

N watched her closely, seeming curious. He adjusted the bag that was hanging over his shoulders, careful not to move the large ink-coloured egg that it held too much, and turned so he was facing in the direction of the camp. "It's that way," he answered, "and isn't too horribly far. When I got here I wasn't in the best shape myself but the walk was manageable." He glanced upward as he thought back to the time he found himself at the border, paws aching from weeks of ceaseless travel. "If you don't want me to lead you, though, I'll be taking my leave. Been a pleasure, I do hope we meet again sometime." He smiled, the edges of his maw upturning happily. Then he heard Blazeheart approach. He'd never met her before, so he gave a polite dip of his head in greeting. Perhaps Whitepetal would be more comfortable around another feline. In fact, she most likely would, he estimated. Probably best to leave things with her.
-
She nodded, pricking her ears when a beautiful she-cat emerged behind N. "Why, thank you,"WhitePetal purred, glancing at N again. "I'm WhitePetal, it's nice to meet you."
The fox seemed anxious to leave, she then remembered foxes were loners and didn't like being in groups for too long. Her fur prickling with embarrassment, WhitePetal flicked her tail at him. "Before you go,"she started, her question tumbling out of her mouth instead of saying goodbye, "What's in that bag?" -

He blinked. His bag? Ah, of course she'd be curious. He lowered himself so the bag was on the ground and wriggled out of the strap that it hung from. The sides of the sack fell, revealing the large egg with the inky black shell. "This," he answered, gazing at it with immense wonder in his deep grey eyes, that were like two endless pools of shadow that reflected his constant stream of thoughts. "I don't know what's inside to be honest, but... I'm entranced by it." He'd never spoken to anyone about the egg he was protecting so cautiously before, and so it was a bit odd, but also strangely relieving. He had so many thoughts bubbling in his overly active mind that he'd like to get off of his shoulders. He loved to talk, despite being on the introverted side.
//wanna do a private thread with them after this?
-
WhitePetal's eyes widen with curiosity, accidentally letting a gasp of surprise escape her lips. She had never seen a green egg before let alone to be so large. In fact, it almost reached her initial height, already making her feel like an ant. Amusement flickered through her brown eyes as the she-cat raised her head.
"Are you sure it's not another green fox?"WhitePetal purred, gazing at his green pelt. Ever since she had left her home, strange things kept unfolding in front of her. It's like StarClan's showing me what I'm missing out on,WhitePetal thought as she carefully sniffed the egg. However, she kept her distance so as to not cause harm to the mysterious creature inside.[Sure! :D]

//I'll make it later today, then.
N let out a soft chuckle. "Oh, that could hardly be possible. From my calculations, taking the egg's size into consideration..." He paused, numbers running through his head as he closely examined the egg's structure, scrutinizing the black shell with keen eyes. "The hatchling will likely be just a bit smaller than yourself, actually. No, whatever this is, it will be far larger than a fox." His ears flicked from where they poked out of his hat, content with the answer he'd given. The egg was pretty big. It was round, and when balanced upright as it currently was, it was just below N's shoulder. "If I had to make a rough estimate though, fully grown it could stand anywhere from five feet to ten." N himself only stood exactly 48 centimetres, a bit taller than the average fox, so those numbers were rather intimidating.
-
WhitePetal waited patiently as the fox thought carefully, examining the eggs structure as he did so. Her tail curled around her paws as she licked her chest. However, WhitePetal stopped when she heard the estimated calculation. "No way..."she gasped, her ears pricked as if expecting the egg to hatch anytime soon.
Suddenly, a quick flashback entered WhitePetal's mind. On her journey to StormClan, there was some large beast that had followed her. Scared, WhitePetal had stayed underground at night.
The she-cat shrugged the worry off, though she couldn't help glancing over her shoulder. "When do you think it'll hatch?"WhitePetal asked, turning her gaze back to the egg.[Okay dokay]

N thought about that. It was difficult to calculate that, as he didn't have the proper factors. He didn't know when the egg had been laid, he was only aware of how long he had carried it with him. Besides, if he didn't know what was forming inside, he couldn't consider development rates of the species... That questions was bothersome. "I have no clue," he admitted, looking up from the egg and back at WhitePetal. "I've had it with me for around a month, so it could hatch tomorrow or it could hatch weeks from now." He slipped the bag's straps back over his shoulders and hoisted it up, careful the egg didn't toss too much as he moved it. "It's a curious thing, isn't it? So mysterious."
-
"Yes... quite mysterious," WhitePetal agreed her eyes moving to him as he moved. I'm so jumpy now the she-cat thought, sighing lightly. She got to her paws and stretched her long and thin body across the ground before standing normally once again.
"Ah, I forgot you had to go,"WhitePetal meowed, dipping her head. She as well had to go, there were new cats and creatures to meet. "Sorry about that. I'll be on my now. Nice meeting you N!"And with an excited purr, she disappeared in the undergrowth.
