Ryan was, once more, comfortable roaming the territory again: although that seemed to always bite him in the ass, as whenever he was actually confident out on his own, he'd stumble across something that either tried to kill him or something that left him brooding for a week. Luckily, in this case, it had been the latter- although needless to say, the creature that Ryan happened across could have killed him easily. It was a lioness passing by, clearly not paying any attention to any sort of border as she briskly made her way through the territory, bloodied paws sweeping through the wilting grass with ease. The lioness was marked with the occasional wound, seemingly a scratch mark. She had a glassy look in her blue eyes as she made her way through the territory in long strides, an expression that Ryan himself was familiar with- fear, anger, regret, even panic. While it probably would have been wiser to allow the female to continue on her way, Ryan found himself intersecting paths with the female as his river-blue optics met her lighter hued ones.
"Uh, hi?" The fox barked in greeting, almost fearful of what the lioness might do- it was a natural reaction, seeing how she was covered in wounds and was at least three times his size. Instead the creamy felidae stared at him with blank, pained eyes before turning away from him, beginning to set out in a brisk trot once more. "Hey, wait!" Ryan called after her, reaching a paw out and just managing to brush against the tuft of fur on the lioness' tail- that seemed enough to be a catalyst for action, however, as immediately Ryan's vision went white as unfamiliar thoughts and memories flooded his mind.
They're gone.
A stupid prank, Emily, Jess and Mike. They're fault.
No, no. Didn't mean to.
Haven't been seen. Are they dead?
Not dead, no. Gone.
They had to keep looking. They couldn't be dead yet.
Hannah and Beth were dead.
GONE.
Ryan blinked as the unidentifiable myriad of thoughts and visions settled into his memory, blinking away the bright white as the fox observed with a shocked expression that the lioness was gone. Her pawprints indicated it was in a much more leisurely pace when she left, as if she were taking a stroll. Had Ryan just... stolen memories? No, no, they didn't feel like his: did he just... suppress them? Ryan knew he had the ability to manipulate other's memories, but he didn't think he'd accidentally use it- let alone on some victim he'd never see again. "Whaaaat the fuck." The fox breathed out, scanning his gaze around him in a concerned manner to catch sight of the lioness. Seemed she was gone.
