    Kat has a a pixie cut, and her short brown hair, is also very thin. But when you first meet her, you would never assume she had lung cancer. She can breath, but twice a day needs an oxygen machine. So when people see her on, she just says she has asthma, and is taking her nebulizer. But as she enters her sophomore year in new high school, she decides not to tell people about her cancer, because at her old school, no one would go near her, as if they would "catch" cancer. But when she becomes close with a boy, who she begins to like, her life takes a turn for the worst.

    Cole sat on a seat towards the middle of the bus. He looked up when the bus stopped and he saw the new people walk on board. He didn't pay much attention to a lot of them except for one girl who stepped on. He could tell she was a new student and moved his backpack from the seat next to him since he knew the seats would fill up immediately.
