He was dead afraid of dogs of any kind, and not noticing was probably for the better. Despite it being so late, Beetlekit still had a good deal of energy, and he was up and about doing lots of different things. Running, jumping, catching bugs, stomping on leaves that had fallen out of the trees from strong gusts of wind. Lots of things.

Having not been paying attention, the tomkit was coming straight for the wolf. He turned his head to look at Blazeheart, cracking a wide smile. "Hi, Miss!" Beetlekit squeaked in his southern accent. "How are -"

Suddenly, he unintentionally headed in Darkfire's direction, ramming into the wolf if he didn't dodge. It wouldn't hurt if he did run into the huge canine, being a kitten. But it certainly would be a bit of shock. However, the shock mainly came to the dark chocolate-colored kit. He had never seen a wolf before, having grown up pretty well sheltered from the outside world. But he had seen foxes, and this was like a giant one of those. Which probably meant that it was an even bigger threat.

"Oh StarClan!" he shouted, crawling backwards at the fastest speed he could. "Please don't eat me, Mister Doggy! I swear I wasn't doin' nothing bad!"

Cottontail, on the otherhand, noticed the dog right away. Before she could hear it or see it, she smelled it. And when she saw beetlekit going in the direction of the intruder, she made a bolt for it. "Hey! Kid! You aren't supposed to be out here!" Oh these troublesome kits, never listening to the rules! She ran as fast as she could, but it was too late. When darkfire came into view, beetlekit was already right in front of him. The British Longhair would never have the courage to face such a large dog.
"By Starclan!" she yowled in fear as she bolted away about fifty feet, before turning around in guilt. Oh, that poor kit will surely die if I don't step in! she thought. But what could she do? Of course, Cottontail had no idea that the wolf was friendly, or that wolves were even capable of being friendly. Not that that would have changed her prejudice-filled mind.

Hey he was nice. Apparently Cottontail had a deadly fear of wolves though. Blaze was more used to it because she was also in StormClan, so it didn't scare her as much. She was still a little afraid and a little uneasy, but that was expected from a nervous wreck of a cat. "So you want to join?" she asked. "Temporarily possibly?" she added.
