    She climbed up a tree and watched the fox pass by.only then did she realize it was following her scent trail back to Moth!'what if Moth tried to follow her or what if wily fang came back and ran into the fox'she thought quietly to herself.Jumping down from her tree silently she padded towards the fox who was sniffing a bush.she darted towards it and bit its back leg then darted away.The fox snarled at her and luged."Mouse brain."she called herself then turned and ran.The fox barked and chased her excitedly.

    The barking rung into moths ears. "Oh no!" Moth quickly jumped from branch to branch until she hit ground level. She scented the air and smelled the fox. "Great! Done got herself into trouble with that thing!" She quickly followed the trail hoping she could make it in time.

    kestrelpaw rounded a corner and fell.she got back on her paws and ran just as the fox's jaws snapped where she would've been.kestrelpaw had a sudden idea.if she could lead the fox to the gorge and somehow get it to fall over they'd be safe.she groaned as she thought of all the running she was gonna have to do.She sped on down the shadowclan border till she found the river.she stopped when she realized the fox was gone.panting she looked around confused.then the fox darted out in front of her and clamped his jaws around her forepaw.she yelped half from surprise and half from pain.she took her free paw and clawed at its eyes.it let go and whimpered.she turned and ran down the border.

    Moth kept to the scent of the fox she arrived at the river and stopped for a heartbeat to look around.'this can't be happening!' She thought to herself as she caught the scent again and sped off after it.

    she looked back,the fox was still chasing her with one eye open,'bet Moth would love to get to know this dog'she joked.she looked back up ahead,all she had to do was follow the river a little more.she ran faster even though her bit paw screamed at her,finally she came to the gorge.swerving around she stood directly in the fox's path.'i'm crazy' she thought then and smiled.as the fox finally got to her she stepped to the side,it swerved around and grabbed her back leg but fell over.she shrieked and clawed at its eyes as she went over to.it let go and fell,she clawed at the ground and managed to stop herself from going all the way over.pulling every last piece of strength she hauled herself back onto land and collapsed panting.

    Moth finally caught up to Kestrelpaw she hurried to her side."are you ok?!" Moth caught sighe of the bite wounds and ghasped. "No no no! This is horrible!" She paused. "Where is the fox?" She looked around frantically. She could smell it but couldn't see it.

    kestrelpaw smiled."i took care of it all by myself."she said proudly.she tried to get up but fell.she growled and sat up."im fine Moth just a few bites.stop worrying"she laughed."did you see it though i got him to go over the edge and ow!"she mewed looking down at her bleeding back leg."now that hurts."

    Moths worry quickly gave way to fury. "You mouse brain!" She spat. "This is no laughing matter! Look at you! You're hurt! You shouldn't have done this by yourself! What are you trying to prove?! You could have been killed! How do you think Wilyfang would have felt if I had to tell him you died! Think of others!"

    Kestrelpaw looked at Moth shocked."i was saving you you mouse brain"she snarled."the fox was coming right to you and i thought you might've been tracking me so i lead it away."Anger flared through her."Wilyfang would've gotten over it and what others everyone i cared about is either dead or hates me."she stood up and winced but stayed standing."i wasn't trying to prove anything just trying to save someone."she mumbled.she limped away angrily.

    Moth inhaled deeply then exhaled. "I'm sorry...most of that wasn't meant for you it was meant for a certain other mouse brained cat I never got the chance to tell off. I am very grateful for what you did its...hard to explain. Again I am truly sorry for that."

    kestrelpaw rolled her eyes apart from getting yelled at and from her painful legs she was walking on she was too frustrated and tired."she turned around."im going back out to hunt and im not gonna run into any stupid foxes."she growled then turned around and kept limping forward.

    "No you're not!" Moth hissed as she. Walked in front of her. "You're bleeding. That will attract unwanted attention. Ill go out. Stay here."

    Moth followed her as her pelt bristled. 'Starclan this cat is persistant.' She thought to herself as she watched the she-cat limp along. 'Mouse brain. Eventually the pain will get to her.'

    Kestrelpaw kept on towards her tree aware that Moth was angrily following her.When she finally got to her tree her legs were burning.she laid down painfully and groaned,her legs were still bleeding.

    "Some warrior you'll be." Moth hissed "if you-" she stopped before she said something she would no doubt regret she took a deep breath and calmed down. "Look dear," she mewed as she laid beside the wounded apprentice. "You really need to clean them. I'm trying to help you but I only can if you allow me too. Think of Wilyfang you're his apprentice right? Imagine how hard it will be for him if something happened to you."

    "some warrior ill be right?"she snapped angrily.she stood up and hopped onto the first branch."leave me alone i can take care of myself."she jumped onto the second branch and almost fell.she turned back to Moth."And when wilyfang comes tell him i dont need another cat to look after me."she jumped to the next branch and then the next and finally landed on the last one.she limped inside and fell onto the floor of her den.A small tear slid down her face."some warrior ill be."she muttered then closed her eyes not careing about her bites.

    Moth sighed as she sat at the trunk of the tree. "Great." She muttered and she lied there. "Some mother ill turn out to be. Can't believe I said that." Moth sat up and felt a slight pain in her belly. "Woah.." grunted the queen.
